I’d love to explore James and Mary’s life together — starting from the moment they met, through the quiet years of their relationship, and eventually leading into the events of Silent Hill.

This drawing captures what I imagine to be one of the earliest moments, when James starts to realise he’s falling in love.

James has always struck me as a man who appears simple on the surface — a soft-spoken, modest clerk living an ordinary life. But beneath that quiet exterior is a soul heavy with unspoken emotion. He’s not outwardly expressive, and perhaps even struggles to understand the full depth of what he feels. But he feels deeply — love, guilt, helplessness, longing. He’s vulnerable, deeply human, and painfully real.

I think that’s what makes his story so powerful — how someone so unassuming can carry such unbearable weight, and how love, regret, and memory intertwine into something quietly tragic.
