After everything they've been through, Henry and Hans finally set out on a quiet hunt together. The war is over, but some things are harder to leave behind than others. What begins as an ordinary day in the woods soon becomes a chance to pause, look back, and hold on to a fleeting moment before life changes forever.

Author's note

When I finished Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, the news of Hans's arranged marriage genuinely caught me off guard. I think I could have accepted it much more easily if it weren't for his romance with Henry.

What moved me most wasn't simply that they became lovers. It was the journey they shared. They began as two people who could barely stand each other, slowly built a friendship, drifted apart again, and eventually found their way back to one another. By the end of the game, their relationship felt full of trust, affection, and quiet understanding. It's one of my favourite character arcs I've experienced in a long time.

When I played the first game, I never imagined I'd see them as anything more than close friends. KCD2 completely changed that.

I also understand Hans's feelings. After everything he's finally found, he's expected to leave that life behind almost overnight. There's a sense that time is slipping away, and that thought broke my heart.

I don't want to rewrite the story or change the game's ending. I've always preferred staying true to the canon. This comic is simply my way of exploring the quiet moments that could have happened between the final chapter of the game and the life waiting for them afterwards.
