Happy Holidays Friends! 🎄✨

We've made it to the end of 2025, and not by a moment too soon. Whew! I feel like I'm ready to turn the page on this year and get an arbitrary fresh start. How about you? Well, before we say goodbye to the year, how about we look back on what really got excited -- what had me hooked and open my mind to new perspectives and stories.

So rather than this being an ordinary episode of what I've been up to lately with the media I've enjoyed, I thought honoring the titles that really were worth talking about should get their time in the sun just in case you might've missed on me talking about them the first time around.

Oh, and I also might talk a bit about some new things changing and debuting on the Patreon next year, so ya might be interested to keep your ears peeled for what you can expect coming real soon!

(Psst— I JUST started and noticed a little mistake! You said you were recording this on Saturday, December 10th, but the 10th was a Wednesday! And based on what you say after, I assume you mean you recorded this on the Saturday after your last day at work before Christmas break, which would be December 20th! I don’t expect you to change the audio, but I thought I’d let ya know in case you wanna add a little note to the post itself. I don’t know how much you care about that, I just thought I’d let you know in case you did! Now, I’m excited to tune in for the rest of the podcast 🎧🎶)

Ooo nice catch! 😅 It’s funny cause I totally have 20th written in my notes yet my head was like, yknow what… 10 sounds better to say out loud 😆 Thanks for letting me know! ✌🏼

petra

hi gg i noticed a little mistake. you answered my question 2 months ago. it’s no big deal i just wanted to let you know 😆💓

GentleGeek's Geek Squad

Whoops! Haha, musta included in that from before my trip and forgot to label it as answered 😅 But hey, if anything I believe my answer was consistent with last time, right? 🤭

petra

no worries 😆💓. your answer was consistent. should i reask my other questions?

Hey the boi is a handyman. Whoo!! Very, very impressive. Do you need to put it together & take it apart each time? Would love to see a little photo of the set up? Our measurements here are Width by Length by Feet (sorry fellow Europeans, I'm still old school. Meters & centimeters will always be a different language to me 😂) We REALLY need a bleh count for podcasts - it would be off the charts 😂 We were definitely gonna show up for the Geekster on the MagicWave Premier. Gotta show them your groupies 😂 Your audios for the new year sound fantastic. Really excited for it 💕 Big up for Balder's Gate and Claire Obscure 👏🏻👏🏻honestly outstanding entertainment in Twitch. I recommend anyone to go back on the streams to watch. You will NOT be disappointed 😂 Dude would go back in time to Japan - there's a shocker(!) 😂 You'd get gold for rambling, the bleh count, for not leaving things along when they're actually fine (not referencing Twitch streams AT ALL(!) 😂), for being a perfectionist... BUT you'd definitely get more medals than Usain Bolt for being THE BESTEST BUTT SLUT ever 😈 😂 🥇

I finally managed to finish up this month’s podcast 😅 And I one again have to say thank you for another brilliant installment. This podcast was heard over a few nights right before bed and finally finished up as I painted my toes. But it’s wild to think that another season and this year is coming to an end. It’s gone by very slow but also super fast, and I know the next season is gonna be very amazing! As for the weather talk, man your 70° weather sounds great. It hasn’t been temperature cold in my neck of the woods, but something is very different about this year’s cold cause it’s a painful kind of cold. And just really extra cold. It was supposed to be below freezing temps this week, but that went up cause it’s also gonna be pouring rain all week too. Not super exciting 😭 As for the talk about northern hemisphere vs southern hemisphere Christmas’, I’ve experienced both. A bit Christmas in Fiji and of course the cold Christmas’ here. And as much as the hot Christmas was fun with family and fun, the cold Christmas is a classic. The sweaters and hot cocoa and hibernating inside while watching the snowy/rainy outside. It’s great. Not to mention it is really fucking hot and humid during that time in the southern hemisphere. Esp Fiji, so no thank you 😅 Your updates about the Patreon and the surprise announcement sounds wonderful! I went into much more depth over on the podcast channel on the discord, so I won’t be saying much here. As for your media consumption over the year, everything you’ve watched/read/played sounded great. It was especially fun seeing you play some of the games on the stream like E33 and DS2. It’s always fun seeing those types of games on the stream where there’s no chaos and simply gameplay you can do on your own or with a short online guide. I’m def looking forward to what new and exciting games you’ll be playing in the future. And finally, as always, thank you for answering my questions. When I asked the daylight saving one, I had just seen a TikTok about a night shift nurse who saw the clock go back an hour and had to be at work for an extra hour cause of that on that day. And knowing you also worked night shift, I had to know. As for the game answer, your answer was essentially the type of thing I was expecting. Like what are the parts of games that you like that could be combined together to make a perfect game for you. And through all the podcast, the answer is essentially DS2 😅😅 Unfortunate they didn’t win much though
