Hi everyone, I’m Crescent Eclipse. Before becoming one of my supporters, I recommend reading this post first.

If you follow me on X (Twitter), you may already know that even before I started this Patreon, three of the worlds I created had already been taken down for the same reason.

However, creating worlds that cater to my own interests is one of the main reasons I’ve remained passionate about VRC in the first place, so I have no intention of giving up on creating them because of this. That said, there is only so much I can do about the platform’s current approach. A great deal of emphasis is placed on protecting minors, while very little room seems to be left for the kind of spaces adult users may want to have. That is simply not something I have the power to change.

At one point, I considered simply keeping all of these worlds within a private group and only sharing them with people I already knew. However, someone later suggested that it might be better to also provide a supporter-only way to access them. That way, adults who are willing to contribute a small amount of money can still have a way to experience this content.

And that is why I created this Patreon.

That said, as I mentioned above, I still have a private group of my own, and these worlds are also available to members of that group. Joining the group has its own established screening requirements, and there is also a separate optional paid route for access.

So if someone eventually says, “You’re charging people for private worlds that you already let your friends access for free” ... well, I’ve already explained that openly right here in this public post. Please don’t yell at me XD

There may be some minor differences in content between the Patreon supporter versions and the versions available through my private group, but the core content will remain essentially the same.

Compared with the public versions of my worlds, however, there will be much more noticeable differences.

So, if you’ve read this far and still want to support me, I’ll be very happy to accept your support to help cover the cost of purchasing assets and building these worlds.

The actual cash investment for each world is usually around US$200–400.

To be honest, I’ve never expected to make all of that money back. I’ve always treated it as the amount I spend on buying games every month...

it just happens that this particular game is called Unity. LMAO

And finally, there are a few very important things I need to emphasize.

I’m an amateur solo creator. I don’t have a development team behind me. At most, I occasionally ask friends from my private group to help test the world while playing it.

Because of that, bugs will inevitably happen. If you find a problem and would like to report it to me, please send me a DM on X (Twitter). However, since DMs do not always give me a notification, please also leave a comment under any of my posts letting me know that you have sent me a message, so I don’t accidentally miss it.

And the most, most, most important thing:

All player progress is stored on VRC’s servers.

This means that if a world is taken down, all player save data associated with that world may be lost as well, and I have no way to restore or manually modify anyone’s game data.

The content of the world itself may also need to be changed, removed, or adjusted in the future in order to comply with requests from the platform.

So before deciding whether you would like to support me, please make sure you understand and accept these limitations.
