A few things about my nymphaids (Patreon)
Content
Two events prompted me to write this post: first, I am currently working on another long-term drawing, and it will take me a long time to complete it. Drawing the same picture for a long time quickly becomes boring, so I am creating other content on the side. Second, I haven't written anything about my game and my nymphaids universe in a long time. The thing is, I'm busy rewriting the script for the game. At the same time, I'm writing lore for my little universe: defining the historical events of the world and their dates; the cultural, geographical, political, and ethnic characteristics of various regions of the planet; describing the appearance, structure, and way of life of various types of nymphs; settling nymphaids’ clans across the planet Sikets (Сикец), where the action of my universe takes place; naming countries, cities, clans, settlements, lakes, forests, rivers, and other details important to the game's plot. And so on and so forth. There is actually a lot of work to be done. Before starting the game, I wrote a book where the main characters were Elizabeth and Aurora, but a lot of time has passed since then, and the book and its canon have become outdated. However, based on this book, I am currently building a new canon that is more relevant and meets my requirements.
Let me start by telling you some interesting facts about my nymphaids!
1) As you may have noticed, spotted nymphaids have two color patterns: reddish-white (cappuccino / капучино) and gray (crepusculum / крепускулюм). This feature is perfectly demonstrated by sisters Faeena and Varvara:
Cappuccino
Crepusculum
Why is that? The color of spotted nymphaids' skin depends on the phase of the moon at the time of their birth. From new moon to full moon (waxing, first half of the month) - cappuccino, from full moon to new moon (waning, second half of the month) - crepusculum. Those born exactly on the full moon/new moon have a mark on their lower lip. So far, only Elizabeth has this mark: she was born on July 15, which was a full moon:
In all the pictures, Elizabeth has a mark on her lower lip
2) Do you think that only spotted nymphaids exist, such as Varvara, Faeena, and Elizabeth? Not at all!
There are six nymphaids peoples living on Sikets: spotted nymphaids / пятнистые нимфаиды (based on sika deer), roe nymphaids / нимфаиды-косули (based on roe deer), northern nymphaids / северные нимфаиды (based on reindeer), water nymphaids / водяные нимфаиды (based on water deer), white-tailed nymphaids / белохвостые нимфаиды (based on white-tailed deer), and island nymphaids / островные нимфаиды (based on Thomson's gazelles).

Spotted nymphaids mainly live in Eastern Severoust (Восточный Североуст), roe nymphaids live in Western Severoust (Западный Североуст), northern nymphaids live in the Arctic and subarctic zones of both Severousts, water nymphaids live in the Crab Archipelago (Крабовый архипелаг), white-tailed nymphaids live in Almagesia (Альмагезия) and partly in Srebronesia (Сребронезия), and island nymphaids live on the islands of New Frontier (Острова Нью-Фронтир).
For now, the map is in the form of a texture for the globe and is in Russian
3) At the same time, all the major nymphaids' clan are connected by teleportation tunnels, allowing nymph representatives and their goods to travel instantly throughout Sikets without having to worry about finding transportation, crossing borders, or waiting for favorable weather. Therefore, a northern dryad from the Far North can dine on fresh dates picked by an island dryad that same morning.
4) Shay clan (клан Шай), whose Mother of the Kin is Faeena Shay and where the events of the future game unfold, was founded by spotted nymphaids from the mother clan Moray (клан Морэй), but it is located in Blue Bor (Синий Бор), a forest area in Western Severoust, so during the game, the player will meet many roe nymphaids, indigenous inhabitants of the Blue Bor and its surroundings. Many of them will remain to live in Shay clan. One of the roe dryads will even turn out to be an albino! Roe nymphaids are the embodiment of Eastern European peoples, and spotted nymphaids are the embodiment of Central European peoples. Thus, young Shay clan will be a mix of two peoples.
5) The color of roe nymphaids' fur does not depend on the phase of the moon at the time of birth, but it does depend on the season. That is, roe nymphaids actively molt in the fall and spring and change the color of their fur. At this time, it is better to stay away from them, otherwise you too will find yourself covered in fur from head to toe. Spotted nymphaids retain their birth coloration throughout the year. The hair color of spotted nymphaids is exclusively red and its shades, while the hair color of roe nymphaids is extremely diverse: they can be redheads, brown-haired, brunettes, and blondes. Both peoples wear antlers of various shapes and lengths.
6) Water nymphaids resemble water deer: they do not have antlers, but they do have elongated upper fangs. Water nymphs also shed their skin depending on the season. A water faun named Tsai Mush will appear in the game and temporarily settle next door to the sisters' house! Water nymphs are the embodiment of the peoples of Southeast Asia.
7) The game will also feature Anxloonamun (Анкслунамун), a wandering dryad merchant from the New Frontier Islands, representative of the island nymphaids people. I drew similar characters a long time ago, and I don't think their new design will change much, except that they will be completely covered in fur. The island nymphs represent Ancient Egypt, although Thomson's gazelles do not live in Egypt, they live in Kenya and Tanzania. The dryads, fauns, and satyresses of the island nymphaids have characteristic long horns, and their tails are long and bare, without tassels:

8) Northern nymphaids and white-tailed nymphaids will not be featured in the game, but they will be mentioned in conversations by various characters. Northern nymphs represent the Nenets people (Wikipedia), while white-tailed nymphs represent Native Americans, the indigenous peoples of North America.

It turns out that four people will be featured in the game: spotted nymphs, roe nymphs, water nymphs, and island nymphs.
That's all for now. Very soon, I will finish rewriting the scripts for all levels of the game, after which I will make a big post with interesting facts about each level, the characters that the player will encounter there, the game's plot, and the locations. I will also talk about my future plans. Stay tuned!
