They filmed it purposely like that for the reaction its not a edited video from a different Rap video. Sitting here waiting on Kaz to tell him that Black culture is not African culture and that the comparison is that other cultures that originated in some country has been that way for hundreds of years. BLACK CULTURE (which I mean to say culture of black people typically born from slaves separated from original African culture) is still under 100 years old and is still taking shape although it has strong roots. WE HAVEN'T even had a chance to enjoy it yet or establish it fully yet before we start taking it and selling it. So I feel like Hezzy is right about what he's saying, and it would work, BLACK CULTURE can't even be enjoyed by BLACK PEOPLE yet before somebody comes along and says "this will sell" and takes it. Then we have to start over. To sell it we would have to put it out there and sell it before we know if it will work. We find out that it's marketable at the same time the thieves do. Doubt anybody even read this but I feel like that was the missing piece to the conversation.

LOL! I love that dude. but yea it's just a weakness that white people can't get around. I have a friend I work with who i love to death but the dude just can't wrap his head around the fact it's different being black than it is being white. I'm realizing the problem with Andrew and especially when he get's into race debates is he want's an economical, logical, 1 to 1 fit solution for everything he brings up. I actually don't mind that sentiment in a broader sense, I think it's why I like him so much. But when it comes to race relations it lacks nuance. We haven't had the time to even create and nurture our culture yet so the second we sell it, it's gone.

I get what the guy from Chicago was saying, but the N word is a completely different situation. its like when people say Saying gay is equivalent to the N word, but its not the same. Gay was a word before it was a slur, The N word was specifically created for African Americans. and I don't know if you Ethiopian friend was born in America or came here as an immigrant. But this is a big divide between Black Americans and Immigrants from Africa, because Me being an African American my history is slavery and an immigrants doesn't have the history I do. My Great grandmother was a slave, to an black immigrant I would think that isn't their history. Know they may have gone through other things , but for me if not black I am not cool with you saying the N word . That goes for Hispanics, Asians and Indians too. But keep up the Great content and if their are any typos or misspellings, I am a brilliant idiot.

He and Andrew seriously seem to not notice white conservatives do the same thing, which is tell people what to think, say, and how to act. They both need to do some research about teams and players before speaking on them.

I thought Akaash's point about how Indian and Chinese people can go back to get their real culture if they want is instructive. There isn't a parallel for American Black people because of the stripping of their native culture. Like Indian people and Mexican people and Chinese people can sell an americanized version of their culture but their actual culture is maintained separate from that. American Black people don't really have that option because the real culture is created now, in real time, constantly. So how can one make a white washed version to sell right now while still keeping the real culture alive when that culture is also being created literally right now? Tough question. That's the point that clicked with me the most though.
