Clark Kent adjusted his tie as the newsroom scrambled over a missing Superman broadcast. Yet, Lois Lane was utterly calm—sitting on the desk, her crossed thighs like sculpted columns of granite, casually scribbling notes with a pen balanced between her thick fingers.

Her blouse stretched tightly over a chest that could eclipse any weightlifter, and her arms were so full, her green blazer barely clung to her. Her calves flexed like coiled cables as she shifted slightly, and everyone around her instinctively gave her space.

“Clark,” she said with a smirk, “if Superman doesn’t show up, you’ll just have to let me save the city. Again.”

Clark gave a nervous laugh, pretending not to notice how her biceps dwarfed his chest as she leaned forward.
