The past few hours had not been going well for Jane Foster.
Her apartment building blew up, along with all of her belongings. The dead have risen and are attacking the living. And currently an undead dragon was currently stepping on her.
While Jane wasn’t an expert on dragons, she knew this one was undead due to the gaping holes in its body that showed bones and half of the flesh on its skull was gone. The black skin was pulled taught against the skeleton that poked out at multiple points.
Jane was in her mighty Thor form. Black leggings, fur boots, silver chest plate and half mask. And her stupid red cape that was the cause of her current discomfort. When the dragon appeared, Jane knew that was the biggest threat and transformed into her blonde bombshell form to engage it.
The engaging wasn’t going well.
Currently, the dragon was stepping on her and it was taking all her strength not to be crushed under the massive weight. They were on top of a mall and with any more pressure, Jane would be forced through the crumbling roof into the level below.
She hadn’t seen Loki in a few hours. She had told him to help people escape the undead hordes that were coming to wage war on the living while she engaged the dragon. She could hear the dragon roar as it stood on top of the building.
For a moment, the dragon lifted it’s foot that pressed down on Jane and she felt relief from the pressure. Only for the foot to slam down again, this time smashing her through the ceiling of the mall. She crashed down into a store landing in a display.
Fabrics went flying as Jane had crashed into a Victoria’s Secret. A table full of discount thongs broke her fall. She laid there for a moment, breathing heavily as she watched the dragon take off from the hole in the ceiling.
“How are things going?” Loki asked as he appeared from the shadows. The Mischief God was dressed in green pants and a lighter green button-down shirt. He wore a yellow headband with two small horns that kept his scraggily black hair in place. He also looked like he wasn’t having the best time as his shirt and trousers were dirty, sweat dripping down his face.
“Not great.” She spoke. Jane slowly got to her feet. She wasn’t in a lot of pain, but she was getting sore. In her god of thunder form she was strong, resilient and had a lot of stamina, but it wasn’t unlimited and today was going to test her.
“Well, it’s about to get worse. I need to show you something.” Loki said offering Jane a hand. She took it and htey stood awkwardly for a moment holding hands.
“Are you going to teleport us or something?” Jane asked confused. Loki raised an eyebrow.
“Teleport? I can’t teleport. I need you to fly us somewhere.”
“Why didn’t you say that instead of just giving me your hand?”
“Why would you assume I can teleport?”
Jane scoffed and whipped Mjolnir into the sky. She flew into the sky, bringing Loki with her as the trickster god pointed where he wanted them to go.
As they flew over the city, Jane could see the devastation this undead army and dragon had brought. Buildings were on fire; screams echoed around the entire city. The police had tried to keep it contained to the center of town and were not doing a bad job, but the undead hordes kept coming.
Eventually the city and possibly the world would be overrun with the dead.
“There.” Loki pointed to a burned-out building that had once been much taller. It overlooked a parking garage that had strange markings on the top level. They landed and Loki crouched behind the remains and of an industrial AC unit. Jane followed suit as they peered over onto the parking garage below.
The strange markings glowed and a portal opened.
A figure walked out.
A tall pale woman dressed in a long black skirt, a black battle shirt with pieces of green armor imbedded in it, a flowing black cape and a black crown that spiked out in many directions floated above the hole in the ground.
“What great timing.” Jane whispered wondering what magics Loki used to know when their adversary would appear.
“Don’t be too impressed, the markings give the exact time and date if you could read ancient frost giant.” He explained his eyes on the figure. He didn’t even blink.
“Who is she?” Jane asked, not sure if she should recognize her.
“It’s Hela.” Loki said as he cowered in fear. He looked to Jane who didn’t recognize the name.
“Hela.” He said again. “The Goddess of Death? The Mistress of Darkness? The Death Queen?”
“Uhh, she is bad I take it.” Jane said shrugging.
“Hela, the first of Odin’s children. The ruler of Hel, of which was named after her.”
Jane opened and closed her mouth.
“Wait, Odin’s first born?” She asked putting the statement together.
“Our older sister.” The scared trickster god said trying to remain out of sight.
Hela looked around at the wasteland she was creating and was smiling. Jane let out a small gulp. This woman had risen an army of the undead and an undead dragon. She was more powerful than Jane even in Thor form. The more she learned about Hela the more worried she got.
“Thor never mentioned her.”
“She was banished to Hel for crimes I cannot even begin to list.”
Jane nodded for a moment and tried to come up with a plan. She didn’t get far.
“Can’t you go talk to her. You were a bad guy once; she’s a bad guy.” Jane said as Loki gave her a stink eye for that assumption.
“We don’t have that kind of relationship.” Loki said cutting down her idea.
“Why not?” Jane asked. From this distance Loki and Hela honestly looked like they had a lot in common.
“I am bad, she’s evil. There is a big difference.”
“Then I should go confront her I guess.” Jane said with a gulp, she felt so tired. Loki put a hand on her shoulder, and she stopped to look at him. Unlike all the other times things like this had happened recently, she was real fear in Loki’s eyes. She also realized Loki was seeing fear right back in her eyes.
Before Jane could stand up to confront Hela, the woman in black began to lift into the air. The goddess of death laughed as she began to fly off. She was shouting as she flew away.
“Mortals, welcome to Hel on Earth.” The sinister woman cackled as she flew towards the center of the city. The sky seemed to darken
Jane and Loki watched as the pair flew off. Chaos was erupting all around them, the undead dragon roared off in the distance. For the first time since Jane had been given the powers of Thor, she felt very small and weak.
“Jane.” Loki said getting her attention. She looked at him. “I know this is a lot to handle, but I am with you one hundred percent. Even if we must face off with Hela.”
Jane was speechless. She didn’t expect that from Loki, he was a cowered and a trickster. Fighting off against the goddess of death, his sister, was a lot for him to offer.
“Then let’s go save the world.” Jane said as she stood up.
They flew to follow Hela. Loki was able to track her via magic, so Jane didn’t have to get close to the woman. She wanted to wait for an opening before attacking. They followed the goddess of death to a corporate park with office buildings and concrete everywhere. They landed on a roof top just out of sight from Hela and the person she was meeting.
It was a person, Loki and Jane knew all too well.
Amora the Enchantress was there smiling. She had changed her outfit a tad. She still had the green tiara but now had a green corset with a small green skirt attached. Under that she wore black leggings with green rings on the front of the legs.
The enchantress gave a bow to Hela as the goddess of death approached.
“Your plan worked perfectly, Hela. I kept Loki and the moral masquerading as Thor running around chasing the hammer, it allowed me time to place all the sigils needed to summon you and your forces to Midgard.”
“You did wonderful.” Hela said as she extended a hand and stroked Amora’s cheek.
“Thank you, my lady.” The enchantress blushed slightly. Hela turned back to the city and scowled.
“There are other... complications, but I will handle that. You must capture Loki for me. I am to have words with my brother.” Hela said, her voice full of command.
“And the mortal with Thor’s hammer?”
“I don’t care.” Hela said as she flew off into the city.
Loki and Jane watched as Hela flew off. Amora began using her hands concocting some kind of spell.
“What is she doing?” Jane asked as Amora worked her magics. Loki rolled his eyes.
“She is conjuring a minion and I believing giving it orders on what kind of clothing to loot.” He spoke not hiding the disdain for the waste of magic.
“What do you want to do about her?” Loki asked. Jane didn’t answer, she got up and flew herself and Loki down to where Amora stood.
The enchantress took a moment before looking up to see Jane and Loki landing before her.
“Well, well. If it isn-.” Enchantress began to say, but Jane threw Mjolnir at her before she could finish the sentence. Amora had no chance to react as the hammer hit her square in the chest sending her flying off into the building behind her.
Amora hit hard enough piece of building cracked off as she bounced off and landed in heap on the ground. Bits of debris fell on her. She didn’t move.
“Wow, you did a number on her.” Loki said pointing to Amora, who was unconscious and in a pile of rubble from Jane’s hammer shot earlier.
“Did I, uhhh.” Jane tried asking if she killed Amora, but Loki shook his head.
“No, no. Just unconscious and she’ll probably wake up with a bad headache. She is thicker skulled then she looks.” He said looking down at his former protege.
“Come on, we should follow Hela. See if we can jump her.” Jane said as she began to walk off in the direction Hela had gone.
Loki begins to follow Jane but stopped and turned back to the unconscious Amora. He quickly reached down the back of her skirt and leggings and pull up hard on her undergarments. Amora’s black and neon green thong was stretched to her midback, with only a slight groan from the unconscious sorceress. He leaned down and touched her forehead. Using some of the limited magic Loki he had, he gave her the suggestion to sleep. Amora would be out for a few days.
“What took you?” Jane asked as Loki finally caught up with her.
“Just some payback.” He said as Jane offered him her hand. He took it and they were off to find Hela. It didn’t take long for them to find the goddess of death as she was currently standing on top of a helipad at the hospital. She used her magics to launch the helicopter off the pad clearing space.
“Now or never.” Jane said as she and Loki dropped to confront Hela.
Jane didn’t even give Hela a chance. She landed and moved to strike Hela the same she had Amora. Lady Thor swung with all her might.
Hela moved before Jane’s strike got even close to her. Before she realized it the goddess of death had grabbed her cape and began spinning Jane by it. The new goddess of thunder shouted as she was spun with vicious speed by Hela. Jane thought she might throw up, but didn’t get the chance as the red fabric ripped and she flew a few feet before skidding onto the ground. She lifted her head and adjusted her silver helm just in time to see Loki get kicked in the chest and be sent flying back.
Jane got up and began to swing Mjolnir. The death goddess saw this and began producing knives from behind her back and throwing them at Jane. She had to use the hammer to block the incoming attacks. Practice had paid off as she knocked them away.
“I recognize the runt, but who are you?” Hela asked as she threw more knives are Jane. It took all the new god of thunder’s training to block them all, which she did. As she blocked the last one with her hammer, she moved it to find herself face to face with Hela.
“I’m the woman who is going to take you down.” Jane said as she saw Loki stealthily get to his feet. She hoped to keep Hela distracted so he could get a chance to attack.
“I’ve defeated whole armies, do you think I’d be taken down by a runt and a pretender?” Hela said as Loki drew his own blade as he got closer to Hela. His sister didn’t give him the chance as she stopped throwing knives long enough to disarm him and toss him in Jane’s direction.
Jane kept her hammer ready as Loki got to his feet. They faced off with Hela who smiled. It sent a shiver down Jane’s spine. The goddess of death produced two more knives ready to throw. Jane focused in, she would have to block both to save herself and Loki.
Hela threw two of her black daggers at Loki and Jane. The shots were angled so low that Jane didn’t even have to block them. Loki did a small jump as the dagger passed through his legs, embedded into the ground. The one aimed towards Jane did the same.
“You missed.” Jane said. She figured the goddess of death might give her a glare or a scowl, but all she got was a sly smile.
“Did I?” Hela asked.
Before Jane or Loki could respond the mystical black daggers grew like a tree, sprouting up. The hilts of the weapons were replaced with sharp hooks that reached upwards thanks to Hela’s dark magics. These hooks didn’t just shoot up; they angled and forced their way into the back of Jane and Loki’s pants.
One moment the pair were on the ground ready to fight Hela, the next they were hoisted fifteen feet up into the air by their underpants. Loki let out a groan as his yellow boxer-briefs were forced upwards using gravity for maximum discomfort. Jane let out a small eep as she was forced into the air by her large, light blue, fullback briefs. Mjolnir dropped from her grip as her hands went to her crotch. Hela let out a deep laugh at seeing Jane and Loki humiliated.
“Amora said it would work, but I didn’t think anyone gullible enough to fall for such a childish attack.” The goddess said laughing at the pair.
“Now if you two don’t mind, I have to go claim every soul on Midgard.” Hela said smiling. She turned to leave but stopped and looked back at the pair.
“Why don’t you two.... hang around.” Hela said with a laugh as she floated off, leaving Loki and Jane hanging by their undergarments. She flew out of sight leaving the pair to their fate. With the sudden attack, Jane had dropped the hammer and with the pain she found it difficult to summon it to her grasp.
Jane lowered her head in pain, but almost just as bad, as a failure.
“What are we going to do now?” Loki asked, his voice a few octaves higher.
“Be humiliated and watch the world crumble.” Jane said quietly. Loki didn’t respond and after a moment Jane turned to look at him. He was glaring at her.
“After everything we’ve been through now you give up? Seriously? She didn’t even take the hammer. It is right there.” He said pointing to Mjolnir, which had fallen to the ground fifteen feet below them.
“I can’t, the pa-.” Jane began to say till Loki interrupted.
“You are the god; I mean goddess of Thunder. Screw the pain, summon YOUR hammer.” He said forcefully.
Something in Jane’s brain clicked. It wasn’t just a title being held till Thor returned. She was the goddess of thunder. She was a hero. That was her hammer, and Hela wasn’t going to destroy her city. Her hands moved from her pained crotch. Jane opened her palm and concentrated. The pain was there, but it went to the back of her mind.
Mjolnir twitched.
Then it flew into her outstretched palm. Jane could fly again and did. She flew up and easily unhooked her light blue briefs from the hook. She landed and spun Mjolnir to shatter both black daggers that had been transformed. The one that had been suspending her shattered followed by the one still suspending Loki. He let out a short shout as he fell, before jane caught him and put him down next to her.
“You did it.” He said with joy. His hands instantly went down the back of his pants to fix his yellow boxer briefs. Jane did the same for her undies. After a moment they were both adjusted.
“Thanks.” She said and before Loki could say anything, she pulled him in for a quick hug. He was speechless, which was rare.
“Now, let’s go kick her ass.” Jane said as they flew off. Loki’s magical tracking seemed to be on the fritz as two powerful sources of magic were in the city.
“There.” He said pointing to a back alley near main street. Jane landed and instantly felt something was off, like they were being watched. She pulled Loki out of the way just in time as something flew past them.
It was an ax, a massive ax that had embedded itself in the wall stopping Jane from moving forward.
“Who dares have my hammer?” A deep voice called. Loki and Jane turned to see a large figure step out from the shadows.
He was tall, taller than Jane in her goddess of Thunder form. He was muscular. He wore blue trousers and the sleeveless remains of a tunic that showed off his massive arms. His blond hair hung loose, and he had a closely cropped beard a shade darker than his hair.
Both Jane and Loki recognized him anywhere.
“Thor?” Jane and Loki said in unison as before them was Thor Odinson, the God of Thunder, who had been missing for months.
