Wedgie Hall of Fame: Avril Lavigne (Patreon)

I know after seeing the first entrant into the hall of fame many would assumed it would be another scene from a movie or tv show. Maybe, a book or comic excerpt. Instead, we have to induct the woman who not only stole many of our hearts with her pop punk songs in the 2000s, but the first female celebrity that has confirmed on the record to have given and received a wedgie. Avril Lavigne and the drummer for Sum 41 had in the past a wedgie war of sorts. The story goes that she tried to pants the lead singer of Sum 41(her at the time future husband and now ex-husband) and to "save him", the drummer gave her a wedgie. Anyone from the era knows it was possible as her look always had the waistband of her undies sticking out. We sadly don't have any footage from the incident or any audio of her thoughts on the wedgie war at the time (they might have been lost to time).
