Agree 100% on squeezing whatever joy and whimsey it is possible to squeeze out of life. When I get a 12' skeleton there is no way I'm only using it only for Halloween. It's going to be a flag day 12' skeleton, an easter 12' skeleton, a thanksgiving 12' skeleton. It's going to be a local landmark. People will tell their grandchildren about it. Life will never be the same again. Anyway, loved Monster/12' Home Depot skeleton May.

It's a Ghost.

For the record, if I was making fun of anyone with my comment about "consulting the head of the family," it was me. I really was so confused who Ed had gone outside to consult.

I believe Half-Orcs come from Tolkien, too. There are at least a few in the Lord of the Rings. There's the sneaky dude in Bree when the Hobbits and Strider are there in Fellowship, and I think Saruman used Half-Orcs in his armies. One of them killed Theoden's kid, if memory serves. There was a 12' skeleton put up for Halloween '23 I saw regularly on my commute, that became a Christmas Skeleton rather easily, and was all set to be an Easter Skeleton I think but one of the legs got smashed and down it tumbled, strewn across the lawn for a great many days until the homeowner, in what I can only imagine was their great and terrible grief, gathered up the pieces at last. What was done with them - none can say.

The Witcher III is one of the best video games I’ve ever played. That lore is thick. You would love the world building. Insane time investment though. I played through it when I had the flu and couldn’t do anything anyway.

I love the comment about Godzilla being unapologetically Godzilla. That is indeed what makes Godzilla so flipping awesome. Godzilla doesn’t care if he’s good or bad. He just does what he wants and hates who he wants and destroys what he wants. And that has been a constant in what makes Godzilla the king of kaiju cinema. The ones where we don’t understand his intentions other than maybe retaining his alpha status. Those are the best Godzilla films. The movies that try to humanize or give purpose to Godzilla are usually the worst performing ones. Such as Godzilla just trying to protect its egg babies (98) Godzilla saying no to bullies and protecting his baby (All monsters attack) Godzilla is godzilla and if he wants to use the colliseum as a bed. Literally nothing can stop him. He is a force of nature. The true horror being, he lets us coexist. Why? We don’t know? For how long? We don’t know? When will he turn on us once more? And as shown in the comics, not even Superman could stop him should he choose to.

Anyone saying they couldn’t get into the Witcher 3 is just avoiding saying it’s a skill issue. I imagine the same excuse was given for bloodborne Sorry not sorry guys hahaha

I cried a bit while reading The Graveyard too! Sad & spooky! Great story, but of course I like EVERYTHING Neil Gaiman writes!

Speaking of Shogun Warriors. You can get a replacement Firing Fist! From Shogun Plastics.

Embarrassingly, I finished The Graveyard Book before someone made the connection for me: “awesome - The Jungle Book with ghosts right?” Oh yeah totally thought of that…

Another for Witcher 3 here. Took me two tries to get really into it but it's definitely one of the greats. It was recently updated with a huge number of improvements and the developers also just released a devkit for anyone to create exceptionally complex mods. One alternate way into it is to only start the Hearts of Stone DLC without the main story. Let's you play more as an ordinary Witcher without the world-saving bit but still with a great story.
