As the rent is too damn high and the money is far too low, I am having to take a break in my subscription. I've never commented before, but I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to the two of you, and the many lurking in the shadows, who have made your show such a gem - and to the commenters here, come to that, who've made many a good point and joke. I've been listening since 2010, and you've been boon companions through good times and bad. Never a bad episode. I will return to listen as soon as I can. In the meantime, sincerely, listening to your show has been a gift I gave myself. And as such, in that meantime, I will be heading back to where it all began and starting over again. Maybe this time I will finally learn love craft. TTFN!

Oh man, I was just thinking about this one! It was one of my favorite episodes from the old show. I still remember the first time I listened to it, it creeped me the hell out. Part of that was because of the creepy background track you added during the reading. It still gives me chills. Also "Rachel Ford, friend of the show" 😂 Happy Thanksgiving!!! Edit: It's funny Chris mentions how going through these stories is like taking a look into Lovecraft's life. Listening to these old episodes again is kinda the same thing. We're taking another glimpse into a moment in your lives. Idk where I'm going with this, just a nice thought. I'm petitioning that we get Chad a new morning jacket.

It's nice the Outsider gets a relatively happy ending and makes friends with all those ghouls. My only real question is, did he start out by the Nile, or does the night-wind make it easier to get to Egypt (perhaps a frequent-flyer program)?
