Waxed Ronald Reagan should be the title of whatever next project Chad thinks of doing.

The Rosetta Stone behind glass in the British Museum is the real deal, but in the Enlightenment section there's a replica of the Rosetta Stone, which visitors are encouraged to touch. I think this is where the confusion comes from.

Also, in case you ever need to know this in a pub quiz, there are actually four writing systems on the Rosette Stone, not three: Egyptian hieroglyphics, Demotic script, ancient Greek... and English. On either side we carved: "Captured in Egypt by the British Army in 1801" and "Presented by King George III". Because of course we did.

At least they didn’t correct the grammar in the rest.

The Lonely Sand Person

Whenever the discussion of vampires turns to the idea of them being repelled by the power of the person's faith rather than the holy symbol itself, it reminds me of a bit from the horror/comedy "Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood", in which an irreligious PI manages to repel a vampire by presenting his wallet.

*spit take* Telepathic space pilot cats?! Okay, stick with me here, I'm about to go a little Pepe Sylvia. So there's this anime from 1998 called Outlaw Star. One of its premises is that practicing Daoism allows you to use space magic, because shut up. Indeed, the show's primary antagonists are a group of Daoist magician space pirates. With me so far? So one of the space pirates is a girl whose ship can launch a pair of tiny fightercraft which are piloted by her cats, which she coordinates via telepathy. I have to think Takehiko Ito had read The Game of Rat and Dragon when he wrote that, because that's way too specific for random chance...

This means you haven't seen Excalibur and now this has to be a bonus episode

I opened up the comments before listening to this one, and now a part of me wants to keep it that way. The mental imagery and context my mind has concocted is potent, and I almost don't want to shatter this illusion

Look, museums are just cool places, okay.

So Dracula being repelled by the Swastika puts me in mind of the vampires in Peter Watts Blindsight who are repelled by right angles.
