I was also fooled by Derleth as a kid! I remember Professor Laban Shrewsbury and his space mead-fueled byakhee rides to the Great Library at Celaeno. And I think Cthulhu gets nuked at some point? 🦅🇺🇸 Admittedly it doesn't miss the point as badly as Titus Crow and his meetings with Kthanid, Cthulhu's golden-eyed twin brother, as good as Cthulhu is evil.
