I think what most people love about naruto as a show is that there arent any black or white characters. Everyone is just chasing some kind of goal, they are all a victim of their circumstances and slaves to the beliefs ingrained into them. Every character is relatable to some degree whether we like them or not. And in general there’s a lot of introspection and reflection. This was a very simple arc but it sets up nicely for the tone of the rest of the show

I agree!! and while I'm excited for the reactions to come bc it just goes even more depth with the characters later on, the Land of Waves arc has always been one of my favorites from the earlier episodes and I feel like it's not appreciated enough but it does hit a lot of impact imo.

Well at least zabuza and haku remain well remembered and appreciated despite them being the antagonists we explore the least (?) in depth in the show. Everyone feels nostalgia for land of waves even though chunin exams and the SR (final arc) are usually the favorites😬

Oh, true! I do notice both characters are still appreciated, which makes me happy. The two arcs you've mentioned are actually my personal favorites in the og Naruto, but Land of Waves just has a special spot to me lol

Samee, final arc may be my favorite but land of waves also established the bond between team 7 which was super important. That no matter how naruto and sasuke may fight or bicker, we knew from that moment that they would die for each other if it came to it😭
