In this show you have to take their age very much into account 😬 i hate sakura and ino beefing over sasuke but it perfectly aligns with the nonsense that 8 year olds be getting up to and sometimes a beef like that continues years later till both sides dont actually know what is so serious about it anymore but neither will take the first step to change it, that’s how i take their dynamic. Like even ino stepping in and being like “i cant let you show off to sasuke” is just her deflecting because clearly she stepped in because she was bothered about sakura getting hurt😅

After watching characters like naruto and sasuke who are so driven and then meeting someone like Lee who is equally as passionate.. seeing shikamaru’s team can throw you off a little, but while they are all ninja of the same village and the same age even, they all come from different backgrounds, have different stories and reasons for doing what they do. So i think it’s only fair their motivation would also be different. And every character has room for growth 😌

These episodes were a good pairing. Got to see a bit of Sakura and Ino's growth (despite their silly/immature rivalry over sasuke) and how Orochimaru's bite negatively influences the bitten. But those curse marks go damn hard. Loved your comment about Sakura and Usopp being the "weakest" among the rest and the parallels in how they want to be stronger for their friends
