I'm glad you're checking out some of the newer groups. I think it's shaping up to be a great year for the rookies. I specifically appreciate that (as much as I love a hard-hitting track myself) most of the 5th gen boy groups aren't afraid to opt for a softer concept in terms of making really melodic music again. I don't know very much about CYE/didn't watch the project 7 survival show. I actually checked them out because I make an effort to keep track of all my boys planet alum and Ma Jing Xiang was on there before project 7 (you actually might remember him. He was in the rush hour performance with Ricky and they kind of clashed but afaik they're actually really close friends). The music definitely hits and they seem to be doing pretty well in terms of sales and some of the Korean charts. You posting this reminded me I need to go listen to the B-Sides from this project.

Yesssss I’m glad you checked them out! I shared the first one a while ago on discord and recently on patreon, I love the change of pace from the hype music out now with this smooth sound Been supporting them since the survival show majingxiang and yeojun were from boys planet in project 7 he ranked number 1 and minwook is the maknae of bae173 and leader for this group They are under a new company called uncore the parent companies being the the tv station jtbc and YG plus the modeling and music distributions agency of YG Ages range from the youngest kyuongbae 16 to the oldest 25 minwook Funny thing is they debuted with this RNB banger when people kept saying no good vocalists debuted from the show Fastest music show win in 6 days for a fifth generation boy group Another fun fact kyoungbae who starts off these songs/chorus before debuting was a self taught vocal/dancer with zero company training The b-sides on both projects are so good you gotta check them out for the vibes
