I can't believe I tried to share lyrics on screen and blocked it lol smh. I can't break down my top 3 since I got 5, I'm going to need some additional listens. What's your top 3? Absolutely loved their vocals in this album man, made me miss ZB1!

my top 3 were iconik, star eyes (here i am ethuthiasts unite), and long way back. I love all the violins/strings in the instrumental of star eyes, it reminds of when hao did here i am violin ver. for MAMA 2023 😭

Okay here I come with my long ass ZB1 comment. Tldr: I'm happy with this as their first full album. Iconik, goosebumps, long way back, star eyes are my faves. 8/10 overall Anyways track by track Iconik - what else is there to say. One of their best. This is like the culmination of their sound in such a fun and upbeat way. Slam Dunk - It's not my favorite and it's definitely their take on an NCT song considering so many of the guys are big fans. They did this before with solar power. I think this one is more successful but I'd have to go listen to that again to be sure. like you said it's more a collection of sounds (some of which I like some of which I don't like). Than a song. I wouldn't be mad if you checked out the MV but I don't think it'll change your mind. You can probably already guess what it's like lol. Lovesick Game - I'm never going to be mad at an r&b song from ZB1. It fits their vocal styling a lot and there are some true r&b fans in the group so it's almost like they try extra hard on these songs. I wish we got more per album. I'm actually fine with the chorus not doing anything different cuz it feels very traditional r&b as opposed to modern r&b which always likes to ramp up the chorus a lot. Goosebumps - wow, what a hit. I kind of wish they were going with this song as the promoted b side (looks like they are going with lovesick game). I think it might be because the upbeat energy is too similar to iconik even though they don't sound alike. I think they want that bright song/dark song contrast but this song is already doing really well with Korean audience and I understand why. It's just so catchy and fun again another very ZB1 sounding song Dumb - I was getting ready to come on here and call this one a skip but listening to it in your reaction I was like. This beat kind of goes crazy. Then I listener again with some headphones and I'm liking it a lot more now. I think this pinpoints exactly what the problem is when ZB1 tries to do an NCT style song. They're going for NCT127 (solar power/slam dunk) When they should be going for NCT dream (dumb). And before y'all start yes they do have their own sound on top of that but It's a good vibe for them to be able to throw in a song like this now and again. P.s if you guys are not going to let Gunwook write his verses at least don't give him random nursery rhymes. Thank you. Now or Never - I see why you were getting confused but this song is now or never, not never say never. I don't know if they did that on purpose but I don't think it's really meant to tie in with this comeback thematically. I have not listened to the Korean version TBH it's just that thing where the Japanese version is what I've heard it's what I've listened to. DEFINITELY check this one out even on your own. It's a really good song. Extra -so this is a unit song (Hanbin, Matthew, Gyuvin, Gunwook, Yujin) This is in the "It's growing on me" tier with dumb. There's nothing inherently that I dislike about the song It's just not gripping me like others. Long way back - another unit song (Jiwoong, Ricky, Hao, Taerae) - I need the full r&b album boys I really do. 10/10 Star eyes - I am really not sure how I did not make the connection between star eyes and here I am until you said it because it is so obvious lol. This song is great, amongst the best on the album but I will say this: It's a song that I'd much prefer see performed live rather than just listening to. Such festival concert energy and this is another reason I need them to extend and go on a proper tour so I can see them 🙏🏽😭 I know U know - Fan songs are almost exclusively concert songs for me. I can appreciate the lyrics and also they sound great here but again get me at that concert encore and then we'll really be talking.
