How are we feeling so far with this season y'all? I'm ngl, these rankings are really making it frustrating for me. I think a lot of y'all might be having similar feelings seeing the likes drop off so hard on each episode lol. I lowered the like goal to continue and finish off the show so let me know if you guys want to continue!

There's of course still some contestants I'm interested in but this is like the first time getting this annoyed by the rankings!

Didn’t catch all of it earlier so gotta comment as I watch lol starting here (Ramble) Also yeah agreed the audience voting has been ass but ultimately the stage votes do not matter, it’s up to the online audience to vote anyways so I’ve gotten used to it just sucks for benefits wise And idk just my take but I don’t think the engagement/ like fell off necessarily but you are getting a lot of it on stream now and there was a gap between these last three eps and the other eps so there was a pace now it’s slowly getting up as people watch and catch up I for one am still enjoying it lol please do continue Also also to me it doesn’t really feel all too different from the previous seasons at least to me other then some aspects but maybe I’ve gotten used to the format, some other svs I’ve seen get real boring real quick lol That first part was cute and funny to me lol the table part and even though I don’t like Loud chewing the little dorm snippets are nice but maybe you were still upset at the spoiler to care lol and Jasper ruining the moment (get thucked) The makeup part was Sun jiayang trying his makeup style on him lol didn’t work, xinlong doing the brotherly love but memeing the rain part lol

A little history Giriboy signed to standard friends then made a sub label called howtouse which is also part crew with producer/dj dopnf he was standing next to giriboy in the ep but they blocked his face lol, artist are mostly underground hiphop/rnb artists but collabed with giri at some point , yoonmin was signed after he met giri who judged him/was on his team(like smtm style) on a mnet vocal survival show (haneum was also on that show so they are friends as well) he released a bunch of good solo tracks,one with giriboy if you ever want to see that lol Smh Jasper distracting you with the poops lol To Chelsey’s yes last season was pretty much the same, mid points had bad vocals either some or all around and then they get good lol Gotta comfort your brothers man, that’s a good team right there Your name was one of the best anime movies I’ve ever watched and I’m sticking too it Again it wasn’t stated but yoonmin and woojin rearranged the song and stage Hengyu hit that but yoonmin the talent that didn’t deserve to be hidden man! Separate comment but justhis(and another judge) were on a YouTube show and he talked about how his judging/mentoring on here was lighter compared to smtm if it was smtm standards he said he would’ve told them they all sucked lol or the rap was garbage but on here he knows they aren’t debuted rappers or trying to be only rappers so he mentors them(even though mnet hasn’t shown it lol) yichen was good but not so much here (masato is 21 btw chatter) They made it seem like Junseo wasn’t liking any of it but I think his comments were more so critiquing, I think it was more the floor move spin would’ve hard to grab and throw the jacket in combination Masato is actually really good, his audition was cut and many of the other parts but he can sing and dance from everything I’ve seen, not at my top though lol Personally masato did well in his parts, bias to Junseo but donggyu felt like the best, but since the best parts went to junseo as center it makes sense to me Suren was valid in his crash out, I’m glad yumeki is such a pro that he is able to make everyone stand out while still working on the center part, he really deserves praise

The fact that the people who contributed the most/carried a lot of these performances got the lowest scores is insane. Especially cause the voting is based on ‘if you think that individual did well’. Like you mean to tell me ONLY 70 people though Yumeki danced well???? Are we ok?? A lot of these losses should have been by small margins not whatever tf this bull sh*t is. Hot should’ve won rap, they had the best overall rap performance but I can see why Famous won. Vocal should’ve been Breathe team cause all three served powerful vocals, or Run To You, where it was extremely balanced in terms of a ability, unlike Rose Blossom where 1 person hard carried & a few were good/ok. Dance could’ve gone to anyone imo all teams were solid. In terms of best choreo & team synergy/balance Tambourine was it for me, but I’m also not mad that Lalala team won as they had such a clear concept & have some of the best dancers as well (justice for Chen Bowen & LynnLynn cause ain’t no reason Geonwoo should be winning over them in a dance comp).

With team Bad I really couldn’t help but look at Donggyu in awe and be shocked how he’s ranked so low. Ever since first episode he caught my attention with his beautiful voice and cool stage presence and charisma. It was so sad to watch his confidence fade away, though, he still delivered every stage he performed. This performance just proved to me again that I want him in the final line up. I honestly think Donggyu, Masato and then Junseo. Don’t get me wrong, Masato’s skills are not on the same level as Donggyu, Junseo or for ex. Sangwon (I think he’s one of the best dancers in this season) but he has an aura, alluring and lowkey mysterious aura. Still, I never voted for him cuz I think that there are better and more skilled candidates for the final 8. But!!! It might not be a popular opinion, tho I don’t really care lol. I don’t think Junseo is that sexy 😅. He has more of a cool, laidback energy. I strongly believe that if Masato will improve his skills he would be a “better Junseo” because he has that natural sexiness to him?? I just felt it when he performed this time. I didn’t love his performance in Rising sun (and I didn’t hate it, it was just fine. I think Junseo’s strengths and charisma would actually shine better in Rising sun concept), but this time I mostly looked at Donggyu and Masato. I lowkey don’t get why so many people consider Junseo sexy, maybe because of his manly physique and handsome face but since I like all types of beauty it doesn’t really strike me and I feel like he tries to be sexy or be perceived that way but naturally he’s not really like that. Maybe it has to do with their personalities. It seems like Masato is more sensitive and in his head and more into his inner world and that’s why he can express such complex emotions more? While Junseo seems more practical and socially focused. Kind of like introverted/extraverted mindsets. It looked like Donggyu and Masato were feeling themselves on this stage while Junseo performed for the audience and seemed more cautious, yk what I mean? It doesn’t look like he’s that immersed into the song and that’s why it was lacking. I like seeing people enjoy what they do so I’m sad that Donggyu didn’t get first place(

YUMEKI GOT ROBBED. HOW DID HAN WEN GET HIGHER SCORE THAN JIA HAO??!!! For me it was Jia Hao, Kai Wen and then Yumeki. I don’t care about the others on the team. The fact that I already watched this live but I’m raging as I’m rewatching with you is hilarious. But that’s literally the truth. I will never understand how Han Wen hasn’t got eliminated already (his vocals are so bad and his stage presence is weak), same with Tatsuki. There are so many skilled participants and yall chose to keep them???? Yes, Yumeki’s singing or rapping is not on the same level as some of the other contestants but this was a Dance competition!! Solely based on dancing and he got last place??!!! Bro, at this point I’m forcing myself to finish this show for the sake of my faves 😭😭 Honestly, it’s not far off to assume this whole round was rigged cuz ain’t no way the audience is THAT DUMB 1:10:40 nah, man. I’ve liked Jia Hao since episode 1. I even liked him more than An Xin in their duo and didn’t care for An Xin or his looks with how hyped he was (now I like him, cuz I know he can sing). When he performed Fever I was in love with this flexibility and contemporary style dancing. It’s rare for male dancers so I always gravitate towards male dancers who can do multiple styles, especially fluid and graceful styles (Jun is one of my ults, Taemin too and you can notice the pattern). Jia Hao’s dancing reminded me a lot of Taemin. He has a vibe and he looks confident while dancing, his facial expressions aren’t bland (like Su Ren, no offense. His dancing skills are great but his stage presence is a lil weak), but not too much either, he just looks natural while dancing as if he’s just strolling through the streets. I’ve been rooting for him since day one, it’s a shame he got such little screentime and people only now are noticing him. But I’m glad that at least he’s getting the recognition he deserves now. Sorry for posting a lot of separate comments, I’m just commenting as I’m watching since I might forget what I wanted to say 😅

Someone handing suren a sausage stick in the middle of his cry is hilarious once you catch it lol Adding on It’s been years since suren was on another survival show so it makes sense in his crash out Yumeki wasn’t the highlight of this performance but damn no way he deserved the score that he got, I know I said earlier it doesn’t really matter but like damn that makes no sense

So I think the way you approached watching this particular episode in parts was smart. When I first watched it it was so draining that I think I was less generous towards the performances then I should have been lol I was ready to give most of them the chop. Watching again in parts was better and it just highlights that the production of this show is a little off. 9 performances in a single episode is simply too many. There should have been 5-6 last episode and the rest now. I won't jump the gun until we see the elimination episode but I'm also concerned about what it does to the voting that the majority of trainees didn't have their performance aired until 24 hours before voting closed. A lot of people here stood out for the first time and they don't even get to benefit from an increase in votes. The second draining part was of course the layout of the results. I won't rehash this too much but aside from personal preference I can't feel like these results were trustworthy because they were just all over the place with little correlation to who was shown to have done well on stage. The online voting can be frustrating too but I do think this show would benefit from just getting rid of the in person voting. I knowgl it's good for engagement with the final group but just make it a live audience taping with no voting and maybe incorporate the fancam views or something. Idk but anything has to be better than what we're doing now.

I mentioned I would talk about returning trainees on this show here. From the season one trainees perspective I can totally understand why they wanted to come back to Boys Planet. There is actually been a VERY successful run of former Boys Planet trainees going on to other survival shows and making it into the final group. Last count I believe I was up to 10. I'm sure Mnet is aware of this as well and would have used it to convince them they have a good shot. The biggest commonality though: almost all of them went to non-mnet shows. My theory is that since Mnet is probably the network with most popular/interacted with survival shows one of their former trainees on another network's show benefits the trainee. They are usually one of the most famous trainees on the show which brings viewers and they end up doing well. When you return to mnet you don't get that benefit because they will always be looking for bigger and better names to bring in than a season one contestant. Hence this season having so many current and former idols, trainee a and someone like Yumeki. They don't really need Seo Won or Hong Hai. They'll take them because why not add even more viewers who will come in to support them or add drama but they're not invested in them in any way. They would have been happy enough if they draw some viewers in the first couple of episodes and then get eliminated.

Im so sad that I missed the live!! My thoughts for the performances of the latter half of the episode... Seowon and Taejo did the best during the ADP performance!! Taejo didnt even need the killing part, he made his own!! The other kid should NOT HAVE GOTTEN THE 3 STAR!! The audience voting is a big reason I have such a hard time with survival shows, because in my head my choices are the correct ones, and everyone else is wrong😂 ( Im joking, but also kind of serious😅). I got GOOSBUMPS from Gyehyeon!! All 3 did amazing with Breathe. Its such an emotional song, and many idols have done covers of it already, but they did really good. My Ranking would be Gyehyeon, Ahn Xin, Kangmin. I have to go to work now, I'll comment my thoughts on the last performances later!

Yeah I kind of agree with that this is the point in the show where it always starts to lag a little but I think people tend to pick back up during the semi-finals (especially if they like the semi-final original songs) and people who haven't even been watching the show the whole time will definitely tune in for the finale lol.

Im back.... I liked the queen card performance. Inhu and Sihwan particularly stood out to me! I knew Leo would do well!! The Scoring was BLASPHEMY!! Leo should NOT have scored that low!! This episode in particular is making me question how fair the competition is.... I loved Geonwoo during the LaLaLa performance, Definitely my favorite of the group!! I wish they showed Bowen more. Xinlong did great Im glad he was able to do a performance that he wanted to do.. the other 2 did great too. The ONLY criticism I have for this performance is that I feel like I've seen it done before. I wish they went with a different concept rather than "werewolf". Stray Kids did something similar on Kingdom, and I think I particularly would have enjoyed this performance more if they thought of a concept a little more creative, or less connected to the original artist. And I know the werewolf concept isnt owned, but I also kept thinking about &team and how they embody the wearwolf concept. Idk, I just think that if they are going to go for a concept that have been heavily done they need to OWN it like they are the only ones who thought of it... otherwise they can be very forgettable. WTF are those final results!?!?! I am running out of things to even say... I just keep getting irritated and discouraged.... I literally can't do anything else but laugh in disbelief😭😭 I literally disagree with ALL the rankings!!!!!

Just finished the second part of the episode reaction (I’m literally watching the show with you) but omg the breath performance?!😭 And yeah gye hyeon number one for me too (this is just before I’m seeing the results so I’ll come back soon) 😂…….omg finally a nr1 score I can agree with!!! Personally i think that kangmin did better then an xin but gye hyeon won so that’s good but man I was scared 😂 and I’m literally writing this while watching so I’ll update whenever something crazy happens (I better see Leo get a good result)….WHAAAAAAAAAAT?! NOT ONLY DID LEO NOT GET 3 STAR BUT HE GOT LAAAAST?!?! NAH ant I’m sorry but this might be the end for boys planet for me man cause this is some bs…. (I’m just kidding cause I’m annoyed but I’ll continue with you but only cause there’s still hope for my top 3, jun,in, Leo and sangwon, with the online votes but still? ) 😭😂…well now about the lalala performance, the song was a little weird for me and honestly my eyes only went to Xinlong and a little on geon woo (maybe the fact that the cameraman only recorded him or geon woo helped with that) …..omg I’m at the end results and what do you mean that breathe didn’t win and that queencard came last?! This 8s really some bs , with the rap I don’t really mind, and finally with the dance what do you mean like jennie didn’t win?! I mean lalala did good but I liked like jennie more and the people there were all soo good?! I’m mad and annoyed ant 😭😭😂😂😂

same! Like Jennie and Tambourine were my fav dance performances. I didn't feel the energy in LALALA team and only looked at XinLong and Geonwoo. While with Like Jennie I had to rewind multiple times to look at everyone, everybody stood out there. Also agree with Breathe, these star perpetrators don't know anything about singing
