Can't wait to watch this with you AND hear your thoughts on everything beforehand! Gotta save this and come back to it later tonight! 🥰 Still gotta watch the last episode of Welcome to Derry, but I might put that one on the back burner for this one. 😂

oh yeah, im talking with y'all like you remember everything fasho! I think he's important because it also likely plays into why the children are the way they are too. Wait huh, he wasn't playing golf in this ep?

Absolutely! Dustin's always been my favorite too! Of course, until now, he has been the most stable as far as the dynamics in our core characters and seeing him stuck in this pit of grief is absolutely breaking me down, man! They've got so much going on with everyone. Things have really been leveling up each season with the intensity and darkness! Can't wait to see where we all end up, but at the same time, I think I'm so much happier as a human just being stuck in the dark. I don't know what them feeding us straight depression at the end us this series is going to do to us, but at least we can all trauma bond together if it comes to that. 🫠 Also, Ted or Tom or whatever the hell his name is definitely on the universal shit list for doing nothing but sleeping for the whole previous 4 seasons. It's not just you feeling that way. We're all annoyed with him as a parent. 🤦🏾‍♀️ And yes, if I remember correctly, all, or just most, of the villains/creatures so far are all directly taken from DnD lore. I've never played myself, nor do I think I know anyone that partakes. I have a couple of Hellfire Club shirts and I was approached by a coworker a month or two ago about one of them. He came up ready to talk about DnD, but has never seen a single episode of Stranger Things and wasn't aware that that's why I was wearing it. So we instead ended up having a conversation about how the show is centered so heavily around the game itself and he walked away with a bit more interest in wanting to give the show a shot because of it. 🤷🏾‍♀️

He was definitely outside swinging at golf balls before the demo popped through Holly's ceiling. 😂

My friends were BEGGING me to watch this. I stopped watching after season 2 because I remember thinking it was so boring for some reason. BUT because my friends wanted me to watch it, I went back to the very beginning and watched all the way to the 2nd episode of the 5th season. I am stretching it out so I am not left on a cliffhanger. After rewatching seasons 1 and 2 and watching seasons 3 and 4, I can confidently say that seasons 1 and 4 are my favorites at the moment. I'm really glad that I went back to the beginning and tried again with this show!! I definitely understand why it's as successful as it is.

LITERALLY THE SAME, minus the friends part. I didn't get to finish S2 back then but this binge has shown that it is SOOOOOOO FIRE. I loved S1 and I also loved S4 with the addition of Eddie. What made you like S4 more than S3? Love that some of you guys are willing to watch this with me, it's making me happy. I really like this show

I think S3 and 4 was a tight run for favorites, I think I may say season 3 and 4 are my favorites now -- though S1 is a contender too especially because s1-2 I feel like the smarts of the trio really impressed me the younger they were.

Rewatching Season 1 just made me remember how awesome the premise of the show was, and is. I think I like season 1 primarily because its the 1st season!! Everything was new, and getting set up, i like gow you learn alongside the characters. Season 4 just felt amplified to me. And I there wasnt a storyline that I wasn't interested in. Idk why I like season 4 more than 3, it honestly might just be the addition of Eddie. But I also loved seeing more Murray😂. I enjoyed season 2 much more a second time watching, even thought I still think Eleven's little side quest was stupid!😭. That actually might be another reason that I liked season 4 more than 2 or 3, Eleven still had a "side quest", but I found it much more interesting in season 4. Mostly because we learn much more about Henry (Vecna), and I find his character background SUPER interesting.

Okay! Finally getting a chance to watch these videos!! Time to yap! There's definitely an audience for rewatches, you still get to see other people's perspectives and have new conversations about things you might've missed. I think it's so cute that the kids use DnD terms to make sense of the fucked up world happening around them. Like imagine if there was a big green monster going around eating people but it turns out he's not and he's actually sensitive and has layers like an onion....what would you call it other than Shrek? Teenager swinging around the city and doing acrobatics? Spiderman. I kind like the idea of Nancy and Steve ending up together. Watching the first two seasons again makes you realize there really wasn't anything "wrong" in their relationship, Nancy was just really going through it and Steve was a bit clueless on how to help (don't blame him, he was literally still in high school). Nancy was also having identity issues as to who she was going to grow up to be and worried about stereotypes and getting stuck living the same life as her parents. I feel like Steve has evolved past that though, he's not a cookie cutter athletic nice guy, he genuinely does care about her, her family, the kids, Hawkins, etc. Meanwhile Nancy and Jonathan was very much framed as rooting for the underdog but when you really look at it, there's not a big enough difference between Steve and Johnathan to really make that work. Their relationship feels kinda stale after the initial getting together stage which would have been fine if they hadn't completely thrown his character development in the garbage. Now Nancy's options are "Superhero Steve, Babysitter of the Year" and "comedy relief stoner who occasionally remembers he has a brother" Hopper and Joyce are so fucking overprotective, it's kind of infuriating. As someone with overprotective parents, it does so much more damage than you'd think. Especially to their confidence and ability to function in society but also in terms of the child/ parent relationship. OKAY I KNOW ITS NOT THE POINT BUT YES. WHY DID THEY MAKE EL'S OUTFITS THIS SEASON SO UGLY. They could have just left her on sweats without the red shorts and bandana and I think it would've worked better. I guess they needed bandana in case she needs to do the blindfold thing but the red shorts??? over sweats?? The entirety of my high school years my dad thought I was still in middle school 💀💀 I agree, it's almost weird to see Mike talk with his sibling that we've never seen him interact with lol. I so wish we could go back in time and tweak a few things here and there like maybe adding Holly interrupt a DnD game and Mike gently leading her out or something. ANYTHING to show a relationship there.
