For the first outfit it’s actually a 15-meter-long veil inscribed with verses from “Cheonggu Yeongeon”, the first song lyric book recorded in Hangeul. The last jacket for like Jennie is adorned with 2,000 sequins each engraved with ‘Jennie’ in Hangeul. Both custom pieces designed by the brand LE JE. This is what the designer said about the veil: “The biggest inspiration for this stage outfit originated from Jennie’s long-held affection for Korea and Hangeul. This veil is not meant to cover the face but signifies a moment of confronting one’s origin and identity.”
