I definitely heard all the chatter around this movie when it came out (not to mention avoiding that bathtub scene on Twitter was impossible) but I never actually watched it. It's kind of wild to me that that scene is the only one that I can recall going so viral when I would argue that there are several equally if not more insane things that happen in this movie but I guess it's kind of good in a way that nothing else was spoiled for me I was jaw dropped for most of this even though I did know what was going to happen generally speaking it's HOW it all happened and how these characters react that was stunning. This movie was both crazier and also better than I expected based on that. I actually think the social media chat about the crazy scenes kind of overshadows how complex (and nuts) all of what happened was. I actually kind of think that him not coming from an impoverished or struggling background added to the movie for me. I like that there is no shred of sympathy that you need to have for this character once you realize he's a complete psychopath but the way a lot of the other characters move makes you have less sympathy for them than you probably should even though they really were taken advantage of. Felix is almost the only character who seems nearly entirely sympathetic. I never thought about it but I really like your way of wondering whether the movie was at all referencing the way courts worked back in the tudor times. I don't know how intentional it was but I do see that. Noble families would have all of these courtiers and social climbers hanging around with their own motivations as well as all the odd traditions, snobbery and lack of normal human emotions. **I believe the statue in the maze was a Minotaur

Bruuuh this was still as crazy rewatching it 😭 I think Jacob and Berry killed it as their characters. Ur face during the bathtub scene actually killed me. I definitely agree w the point you made about it feeling like Oliver didn’t have a good enough reason to do this to this entire family. Bro was genuinely trifling. This is my 2nd time watching and I still feel like I don’t have all my thoughts about it rlly sorted out. His obsession/hatred for Felix was soooo ????. Like so many things he does is a violation to Felix. From spying on him hooking up w girls to spying on him in the tub, to wearing his stuff after his death. Just a genuine violation and intrusion on his privacy. The grave scene was actually vile. To do that to someone’s grave is just genuinely so violent and disgusting. A genuine demonstration of hatred imo. Oliver def had issues 😭 Such an interesting movie. Random side note but I just realized that the guy that plays Mike is Aemond from house of the dragon lol.

yeth i got it, just went in order. jaspy has been giving me a hard time when it comes to longer sessions and i had to stop this movie 5 times literally sooooo i dunno when i'll do the next but I'll 100% be getting everyone squared away when i get to the apartment. i'll be renting some studio time too a week ish before i move in as well, to get more content to yall, ill make a public post

the way everyone was talking about this movie i thought it was crazier than it actually was. don't get me wrong there is some WILD ass shit in here, but it was actually better than i expected. don't think i would ever watch it again, but hey at least i can finally say i watched it i 😂😅
