I went in blind to this and it was sad but really well done and I agree some of the directorial choices they made were simple probably because of budget but it turned out well done. The story itself and the acting is so emotional that it didn't need so much dressing up. One of the things the movie never answered that I am still curious about is how does payment for nursing homes work in Korea? I assumed that one of the reasons Ki-hoon didn't consider it was financial but it seems like even when it was on the table (and I assume Ji-eun would have been paying) he still didn't want to leave her. Unless I'm wrong and you can apply for it through the government.
