Most of my patreons speak English.

I don't know how many know it but I am Italian.

I would like to reveal a little difference regarding feet, one of our favorite fetishes. <3

It's not important but I think it's fun to do it. At first it was a surprise to me too.

In Italian, fingers and toes are said the same way.

In English you say fingers if we talk about the hand, while toes if we talk about the feet.

In Italian there is no such distinction.

We say fingers of the hand or fingers of the feet.

I think English gets much nicer about this. I love to say toes, because I know we are talking about feet without me having to specify. X3

That’s interesting, why are toes and fingers spoken the same way?

What?! That explains so much!!!! 😱😱😱 Because whenever i would use google translate to talk to you I used to get extremely annoyed whenever it translate “Toes” to “fingers” when I am obviously talking about “Toes”!! so I would reword the sentence until it made sense. Damn if only I myself could have known about this sooner. texting could have been a lot easier! XD

So in Italian how would you talk about one body part specifically? For example if I said “I hurt my toe” would it then be mandatory for me to point at my feet?

Context clues go a long way. Most Slavic languages, for example, don't make a distinction between hands and arms and don't even have articles, so there's no difference between "arm," "an arm," and "the arm." Most of the time, there really is no need to specify, and when it becomes necessary, people find ways to do so.
