Critical Damage - Update (Patreon)

Hi, I have a bigger update today. I just released critical hit buttons to HP Tracker. Any Dice Button directly connected to a Damage property now offers a roll modifier called "CRIT". When clicking this button, the roll automatically is adjusted to follow the crit-rules setting.

Wait, what? crit-rules setting? Where can you find that?

Good question! I added a new feature to Tabletop Almanac, where you will be able to chose between different crit-rules:

You can find this Settings in the "Profile"-section on https://tabletop-almanac.com. This is just the first setting of many that will be available for Patreon subscribers. This finally allows me to add settings to HP Tracker and not rely on owlbears storage to persist them, but use my own backend.

Speaking of Backends

I had a lot of issues with the hosting service I used to host the TA backend. So over the last few day I migrated to a new Server. This should make the service more reliable and faster. But if you encounter any issues please let me know, so I can fix them right away.

You might have to logout and login on Tabletop Almanac to restart your session but everything else shouldn't need anything manual from you.

The Future

Last but not least, as I already announced on the TA Discord my second child will be born in the next few days. This doesn't mean that I'll stop extending HPT and TA but the tempo will be reduced. But the good news is, that with the server migration and an influx of new Subscribers I can also use some work-time to improve HPT and TA. The more subscribers the more time I can spend the better the service 😁
