“Hope we’re not disturbing you,” Buffy said as she walked in, and Willow followed, her expression far more complicated, though he could only see excitement, panic, and shyness.
He wasn’t that surprised. With her personality, she would inevitably panic after a day of no contact. However, tempting as it was to try to keep her in the loop, he had decided against, focusing on Buffy’s comfort instead.
His expectation was that Buffy was too soft-hearted to keep Willow away even if she felt some jealousy, and it paid off. Not to mention, the less he asked about Willow, the more comfortable Buffy would feel.
It seemed to pay off.
“My two favorite people in Sunnydale, never,” he teased. He shared a smile with Buffy, while Willow blushed.
“So, what’s with all the books?” Buffy asked.
“Oh, it’s a detection ward. It’s pretty rudimentary, but it’ll alert to any hostile intent,” Willow interjected before he could even say anything, crouching down to the half-drawn diagram lying on the floor. “It’s very basic, but it has the potential to be surprisingly useful as long as the caster is inside the perimeter—“
“Willow, calm down,” Buffy said, then looked at him, a hint of tenseness in her tone. “Magic?”
“Yep, Wiccan magic. I decided to dip my toes in a bit. I didn’t like the idea of being ambushed in my sleep, and I have a feeling burglar alarms don’t work well against demons.”
“They do not,” Buffy said, then turned to Willow. “Is it safe?”
“Completely,” Willow responded, confident. “I mean, it’s an easy ward. Impossible to screw up even for a beginner. Still, I want to help you cast it? Can I?”
“After I check it with Giles,” Buffy said, then turned to him, a little bashful. “It’s not that I don’t trust you—“
“But I’m a beginner, and it’s better to have someone else go over it to make sure there’s nothing I missed,” he completed. Then, he caught her gaze, and let his smirk turn suggestive. “You know I don’t have any problems following your firm hand when the occasion requires.”
Buffy blushed and giggled at the same time, thinking about a particular part of their after-patrol adventures. Willow, on the other hand, missed it completely, her attention fully on the diagram he had used.
He had already established the ward, but he was happy with having a second and third set of eyes going over it.
While Willow was distracted, he pulled Buffy to the side. “What’s wrong?” Buffy said.
“Well, there’s something,” he started, then paused. “Well, actually two things. The first is about Riley Finn, the guy who has a crush on you.”
“The TA?” she asked, looking genuinely baffled. “He doesn’t have a crush on me.”
He shook his head with a soft smile, as he was convinced that Buffy had completely missed it. He wasn’t surprised, because even he had to rely on very heavy signals before she caught on to his interest and made a move. “He does, but that’s not the important part. He has come here today, acting like he had accidentally stumbled, and paid for a full sparring session.”
“I hope you didn’t beat him too badly,” Buffy said, which was another expected reaction. Buffy knew just how good he was.
“No, because he was good.”
“How good?”
“Good enough that we were fighting with no rules rather than boxing, I didn’t know who would win.” That made her eyes widen. “That’s not the most important part,” he continued. “His fighting style reminded me of a retired SAS commando from a gym.”
“Really? Riley Finn? The clumsy TA?”
He chuckled as he hugged her. “Sweetie, he’s not clumsy around anyone else, hence the crush part,” he said. He didn’t mind explaining because he wasn’t threatened by Riley.
Maybe he wasn’t around … but even then, he couldn’t imagine it being any way successful unless he caught Buffy in a very vulnerable spot. Not that it mattered. He had no intention of leaving … at least, not permanently.
“But, that part is not really important. What’s important is that when I mentioned his military training, he panicked. I acted as if I believed him when he claimed he was merely ex-military, and made me promise not to tell anyone.”
“And you did,” she said.
“He told the first lie,” he said.
Buffy paused, thinking. “I wonder if it had anything to do with those commandos I have seen at Halloween. I had assumed they were wearing costumes, but what if they weren’t…” she paused. “What should I do?”
He kissed her. “Well, you’re the expert, and you’ll know better,” he said. “I just thought you should know.”
She smiled, happy that he was willing to give her. “What’s the second thing?”
“Well, that’s even more important,” he said with a chuckle, took a step, and passed a bag to her. “This is what you need to wear,” he said.
She checked, her eyes wide. “You can’t be serious,” she gasped.
“Of course I am,” he responded. “Unless, of course, you are backing out of our little bet.”
“I’m not, but…” she said, looking at Willow, but then, her gaze solidified. “Fine. It’s not like Willow hadn’t seen me wearing worse.”
“Or less,” he whispered.
Her blush was spectacular. “That never happened,” she mumbled, grabbed the bag, and retreated. He chuckled, then he went to pull the curtains. Buffy merely glanced at the costume, meaning she had no idea how revealing it truly was.
He didn’t want any random passerby to see her.
Once he closed the curtains, he walked to Willow. “Enough magic for tonight, miss cute nerd,” he teased Willow.
She blushed at his words, then she looked at him, blushing even worse, as if she wasn’t the same girl that pulled some wondrous tricks when they were alone … or indeed when they had Cordelia or Buffy with them. She looked around, trying to find something that would distract her, and saw a chess set near the entrance.
He had purchased it while shopping, believing it might prove useful.
After all, his chess skill was high-intermediate, which made him a skilled amateur. Or, at least, that was what he assumed based on his other skills.
He never had the chance to test it.
"Oh my God, you play?" Willow said, immediately rushing to it, desperately searching for a distraction.
“Occasionally,” he said, mostly because he was hoping to convince Willow to a bet. He watched as Willow dashed, and he couldn’t help but be disappointed by her outfit. Loose jeans, and a conservative and outdated blouse fit her considerably less than leather miniskirts and black lacy corsets. “Ladies first,” he offered as he picked the black pieces and started setting his side.
“You know the rules. Good,” Willow said, helpful yet unintentionally condescending. She was lucky that Buffy was in the other room, changing, or he would have turned that into a fun advantage. He nodded. She moved her kingside pawn, making a standard opening. “By the way, did I really…”
“Babbled about Buffy’s real name while sleeping on the back seat? I’m afraid you did,” he lied shamelessly, happy to solve that particular problem forever.
She blushed. “I … I can’t believe I did that. Usually, I’m really good with secrets.”
He shrugged. With how easily Buffy believed that, he suspected that Willow wasn’t exactly as good with secrets as she would like to believe, which meant he needed to name-drop Cordelia before Willow could.
Mostly because Willow had a tendency to speak too much when she got nervous, which was an easy way for secrets to slip.
He hummed. He didn’t pay much attention to the chess game. While having the skill gave him a deeper understanding of the game, understanding and appreciating something were not the same.
Willow didn’t push hard in her opening, and in response, he followed the moves of a strict defensive opening. He still wanted to find an opportunity to involve a bet, to see if he could get some rewards, but for that, he needed Buffy.
Slowing Willow down was easy. All he needed was to ask a question about Wiccan magic, and she focused more on her explanation than the game … until Buffy walked in, wearing her punishment outfit.
A French maid … an erotic one, with a cleavage that threatened to pop out the moment she took a big step, the skirt barely covering her ass when she stood straight, frilly enough to reveal everything as she walked.
Including the fact that she had no underwear.
“W-what’s that?” Willow gasped.
“I lost a bet,” Buffy said as she walked toward them. “Not a big deal.”
Willow blushed, though Buffy still seemed to be unaware of the real reason, thinking that Willow was just too shy even after what they had done. “You look amazing,” he said with a big smile, considering whether to insist that she also did the accent, but decided against it.
Instead, he merely pulled her onto his lap. At the same time, he made a subtle move on the chessboard, one that was not that hard to catch for anyone who was paying attention.
Willow was not paying attention. Not to the board.
“Playing chess? Really, Willow?” Buffy said as she grabbed a slice of pizza, and fed him a bite before she took one of her own. Surprisingly domestic, especially in the circumstances. He slipped a hand under her skirt, caressing her hip.
“We were just waiting for you. We can stop,” Willow said.
“No, don’t,” Buffy said immediately. “This is the perfect way to free me from the other part of the bet?”
“The other part?” Willow asked.
“The second outfit,” he clarified. “When she lost, she decided to double the stakes, and lost again.”
“What’s the bet?” Willow asked.
“Crossbow,” he said, smirking.
Willow gaped in shock. “How? I mean … how?”
“We had some extra rules,” he said, spanking Buffy playfully. “Want to explain them?”
“No,” Buffy complained. “I just know that I’m not going to use those rules again. But since you were the one to set the impossible rule, this is my turn to pick the bet. The chess game with Willow. And, if you win, not only will you lose the other costume change, but you’ll dress as a British Butler. Also, players are not allowed to interfere with each other.”
He smiled. Even if he actually lost, it was not a big sacrifice. While actually being a butler sounded like torture, ‘serving’ Buffy and Willow would be very entertaining.
And, that assumed he actually lost. Willow might be good enough to win focused, but there was no chance that she would be focusing on the game.
“Fine, but that technically means I have two forfeits on the line. It means you should be putting two on the line.”
“I’ll remove two pieces of clothing for each loss,” Willow suggested immediately, then blushed when Buffy looked at her. “I mean … I’m the one playing. I should be the one that’s making the loss.”
Buffy paused a moment, then nodded. “Well, that makes sense,” she said. “And, it’s not like you’re going to win. Willow is an amazing chess player.”
He would have been surprised, but then, it was merely a few days ago Buffy decided to send Willow with him to distract her from her sadness. He didn’t understand exactly what was going on in Buffy’s mind, whether she was doing it to keep him happy, or she assumed Willow was that harmless, but he didn’t care that much about that detail.
He was very happy with the new dynamic.
“I’m not that good,” Willow muttered.
“Are you kidding me? You even demolished Giles,” Buffy responded.
“Buffy!” Willow responded, blushing but also smiling, clearly enjoying the compliment to her intellectual prowess.
He chuckled, and made a move on the right side of the board, which distracted Willow from the trap he had set earlier.
“By the way,” Buffy whispered as she shifted her stance, bringing her lips to his neck. “You missed an important rule. Only players are forbidden to interfere.”
“What a horrible mistake I had made,” he responded, unable to contain his amusement while Buffy started kissing his neck sensually. Not only were her kisses amazing. but also Willow was completely distracted, so much so that even his ingenious trap turned useless, because she had committed a huge blunder costing her a queen and a bishop four moves later.
“I … I lost,” she whispered. Buffy stopped kissing him and turned to Willow, no doubt checking whether Willow lost intentionally. However, that suspicion didn’t last for long, because Willow could never fake the intense shock on her face. “H-how?”

“Really, Wills,” Buffy said, though she sounded more amused than disappointed.
“I … sorry, B,” she whispered, still examining the board. “I made such a silly, unforced error.”
“Beginner’s luck,” Buffy said. “This doesn’t count. Again.”
“It certainly counts, but I’m open to repeating with the same rules,” he said. “But, first, Willow. Two pieces of clothing, please.”
She had a lot of options, including leaning on the technicalities to just remove her shoes. But, Willow didn’t think well under pressure, so when he gestured her top, she immediately removed her boring shirt and the bra underneath.
Buffy realized it, but he prevented her from speaking with a kiss. “The next time, just remove your shoes, Wills,” she said.
Willow gulped. “R-right?”
Admittedly, stripping quickly was still something Willow might have done without the panic, but it wasn’t what happened.
It would have been funny in a slapstick way … but it was mostly insanely erotic. They played four more games, which in turn cost Willow her shoes, her socks, her earrings, and finally, her jeans and her panties, leaving her completely naked.
The more naked she got, the more careless she got.

It also granted him a lot of extra rewards, while Buffy did her best to distract him, one of his Tantric rewards even coming from Willow. He didn’t blame Willow, as during the last game, Buffy decided to pull out all the stops, knelt in front of him, and took him deep into her throat like she did during their crossbow competition.
It was an incredible show, especially with Buffy getting unnecessarily competitive.
Buffy pulled back, shocked. “How the hell did you win this game?” she gasped. “There’s no way you weren’t distracted.”
He chuckled, but he didn’t bother explaining. Instead, he pointed to Willow. Buffy turned to see the poor girl at the end of her rope, naked and blushing, with her legs desperately pressing together to hide her arousal. “It’s your fault, Miss Slutty Maid. I think you deserve a punishment.”
“A punishment,” Buffy said, mellow despite ‘losing’ the bet. After all, two orgasms had gone a long way to keep her happy, and it wasn’t like it would be the first time they would be adding Willow to their fun.
At that moment, he was very glad that he hadn’t tried to engineer any follow-up threesome, making Buffy far more relaxed about the prospect, confident in their relationship.
“Yes,” he said as he swept the chessboard off the table, and pushed her down, her slutty maid outfit, already dislodged, made the sight even more incredible.
“Willow, come here and spank her,” he said. Willow moved fast enough to qualify as teleportation, stood behind Buffy, and spanked her naked ass. It was sexy, yet amusing, because Willow’s whimper was far louder than Buffy’s amused chuckle.
Willow didn’t even notice, naked and vibrating with excitement, delivering another soft spank that wouldn’t have registered to anyone.
“Come on, Willow, you can do better,” he said as she stood behind her, putting his hand over hers. She whimpered desperately, which was an intense reaction to his fingers interlacing with hers.
In her defense, it might also be about him sliding inside her, his hips already moving. Willow whimpered, but under his direction, her hand landed on Buffy’s ass hard enough to make Buffy let out a surprised gasp.
“T-take that, s-slut,” Willow managed to stammer, but only after he whispered those words.
Buffy’s body rocked, trying not to laugh. It was a reasonable reaction. While Willow could be surprisingly conniving, she was not domineering. Not even the playful kind.
He started to invade her faster and faster, Buffy’s moans getting more and more intense with each push. As she got lost in pleasure, her spanks got somewhat harder, at least enough for Buffy to play along with fake, exaggerated gasps.
At the same time, he reached around Willow to tease Buffy’s clit, making sure to push Buffy toward a climax at the same time.

Just like that, ten days had passed in Sunnydale, and he found himself settled into a routine, spending his days trying to get used to some new styles, sparring with Buffy whenever she had time, and patrolling with her at the night … followed by a celebration in her dorm, with Willow always enthusiastic to join them.
The benefits of his new routine were very clear. He got two new skills, Fencing and Judo. Fencing proved very easy to improve during patrols, just carry a wooden blade and stab vampires while Buffy kept an eye on him.
Judo … not so much. After engaging, the only reason he ever got points was to realize that he could channel Buffy’s reward to Judo. He decided it wasn’t as critical as pushing Boxing to the next level.
Especially after the specialization. Just like how his football skill had Midfielder specialization, after sparring with Buffy for five days, he developed his unique style, one that relied on movement and punch-parrying; to a degree that looked comical when used for an official boxing match.
It worked much better against creatures that could take his head with a swing.
In comparison, Crossbow and Bojutsu improved naturally, by killing vampires.
Sunnydale had a lot of vampires.

Things were going very well, which was why he was frustrated that he was driving toward Los Angeles rather than staying and working to complete the set.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t because he was worried. Hermione skipped their scheduled call three days ago, which was not like her. At first, he had assumed that she was busy, but he expected her to call once whatever mess she was dealing with calmed down…
She did not, so he decided to fly back after explaining Buffy that he had to fly back because a friend was in trouble. After all, he did see Hermione as a friend … among other things.
Admittedly, his suspicion was pretty baseless. With anyone else, he would have just assumed that they had forgotten. Not Hermione, who was too obsessed with smaller details to miss such a thing.
It was why he was about to fly back twelve hours squeezed in a tiny seat…
