Heroic Ideas — Bonus options week! Choose 2 community item ideas to be made! (Patreon)

Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You can submit your ideas on Discord, too! Come join us in the #patron-item-workshop channel!

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Dune Spurs — While wearing these spurs you and your mount can withstand temperatures as hot as 200 degrees Fahrenheit. You can cast the find steed spell at will and your summoned mount is has the elemental creature type.

2) Infernal Horn Wax — A small brass jar that contains a horn wax loved by fiends. You can apply the wax to your horns, giving them a smoldering appearance similar to a stick of incense for a short time.

3) High and Mighty — This club and pistol can be used together or by separate allies. Both can use either your Dexterity or Strength modifiers for attack and damage rolls. When you hit with the pistol, you can cause the target to float into the air. When you hit with the club, you can launch the target away from you.

4) Wary Warrior’s Weaponry — A beautiful brooch created for an anxious warrior. You can touch the brooch to magically summon a shield and +1 rapier to your open hands, and use an action to dismiss them.

5) Keyhole Watcher — A paired glass eye and key-shaped monocle. You can place the glass eye into a keyhole, causing the eye to disappear. You can then use the monocle to then peer out the lock for a short time. Additionally, you gain a mental image of any creature that inserts a key or similar tool into the marked keyhole.

6) Matron's Wooden Spoon — This rustic, wooden spoon allows you to summon a set of cooks' utensils that grant a bonus while using. Over the course of a short rest, you can conjure multiple homey meals that provide a bonus when healing via hit dice and an additional curative effect such as remove curse or dispel magic.

7) Ghost Poem — A scroll that can be used to communicate with the dead spirits from a crime scene. The communication is told by way of a poem or lyric, and can hint at the locations or identities of clues, culprits, motives, and targets.

8) Wild Card — A simple playing card with a joker on its face side and a blank back. You can use a bonus action to change the face and back of the card to match another set of cards.

9) Steam Star — A morningstar that has a steam mephit trapped inside, making it deal fire damage instead of piercing. It can release a cone of scalding steam, or harmlessly use that steam to replicate the blur spell for creatures in it's space.

10) A Bottle for the Memories — This vintage bottle of liquor gives you a chance to infuse a short and limited memory into it using a small personal token like a hair or nail. Anyone who drinks it can briefly experiences that memory from the original creature’s perspective.
