Scroll of Mastery (Patreon)

Scroll, rare or very rare

You can read this scroll over the course of one minute. At the end of the minute, you name a creature within 5 feet of you, followed by a skill or tool with which you have proficiency. The named creature then also becomes proficient in the named skill or tool, and its name and new proficiency become inscribed on the scroll in beautiful calligraphy. The scroll then becomes nonmagical.

A scroll of superior mastery, a very rare version of the scroll, grants the named creature expertise with a skill or tool in this way: such a creature adds double its proficiency bonus whenever it makes an ability check using that skill or tool.

"Congratulations, you're now slightly more hirable, plus you have this extremely expensive piece of paper."
