Wondrous item, uncommon

While you're wearing this scabbard and have a weapon sheathed in it, you gain a +1 bonus to any Intelligence (Religion) check you make if you aren't holding any weapons. Furthermore, you can use a bonus action to stow a weapon created by a spiritual weapon spell you cast, sheathing it in the scabbard (even if another weapon is already sheathed in it). The weapon must be within 5 feet of you to stow it.

When you stow the spiritual weapon, the spell's duration is paused until you withdraw it from the sheath again (no action required), until you're no longer wearing the scabbard, or until you're incapacitated; a single casting of spiritual weapon can't be paused in this way for more than 24 cumulative hours. If the spell would normally require you to concentrate on it, it doesn't for as long as the weapon remains sheathed. While the spell is paused in this way, the scabbard emits a soft glow from its end. Withdrawing the spiritual weapon from the sheath causes it to reappear in a space within 5 feet of you.

The Rakhan Guard never carried weapons, but they did carry their devotion. That alone was more than enough.

I am so happy someone is coming up with scabbards and other clothing/equipment items. it makes for great flavor for characters when you trick out your whole wardrobe.
