Hey folks!

As the title says, my first book, The Griffon's Saddlebag: Book One is now available on D&D Beyond! All of the book's content is there (adjusted for 2024 rules—a platform requirement), including its 365 magic items, 12 subclasses, feathren, and four setting options (the everglacier, festerwood, Hearth, and Dendallen)!

IMPORTANT: If you already have Book Two on D&D Beyond, you should get Book One for $10. If it shows up as the normal price, it's because you're on mobile, and it's a different storefont—don't pay Apple or some other billionaire extra for doing nothing!

You can get both books at once in the Book 1+2 Bundle! Get both books for $40. Sweet deal!

If you want to see a D&D Beyond blog post I wrote—wild, first of all—you can check it out here to see my list of 10 items pulled from the book, including some added historical context here and there throughout.

As always, it is an insane privilege to be able to do this for you. It is an honor to be trusted and supported by you. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and yes, Books Three and Four are still coming to Kickstarter this year!

As always, keep on adventuring!

Been waiting for book 2 to go on sale for months. Both for $40 made it easy.

I guess, if someone is already sharing Book One with me, then it shows up at regular price on the Beyond store

"don't pay Apple or some other billionaire extra for doing nothing!" You are literally just added content to dnd beyond - platform that allows you to buy content that you already purchased

The Griffon's Saddlebag

Hi! I'm not a billionaire, and I didn't do nothing :) I do my absolute best to keep prices low so that you don't have to choose between a hobby and groceries or rent. If it's not for you, that's okay though!

pavuk_xd

Sorry, maybe I said it wrong. I am not taking about you, but about wotc, who sell same content over and over again in paper book, dnd beyond, roll20, foundry, etc.

Jonathan Twomey

Wooooo! Thanks so much for all your work! Unbelievable content. So happy to see both on the store. Will Book Two be updated to 5.5e? According to DDB only Book One is updated. Also, if we have both books purchased through DDB do we still need to pay for the Foundry module? Or is there a better way to get the content into Foundry? The DDB Importer tool only shows Book Two for items and nothing else.

The Griffon's Saddlebag

Ah, I get that. Several VTTs have pitched allowing previous purchases on other VTTs carry over to others. Some may honor it. But especially with Wizards, they'll do what they can to earn their buck, even if it is a bit over-capitalistic for my tastes.

The Griffon's Saddlebag

Hey! Different VTTs are different purchases. But let me send you a message and we'll see what can do!

Cass Crawford-Napack

D&D Beyond says Book One is 5.5e...apologies if this is an obvious question, but does that mean it won't work for my 5e game? I love using the Griffon's Saddlebag items and was hoping to add this book, too.

Riley

5.5 is their new term for the 2024 ruleset. Not too much has changed and you can probably use everything in the new griffon book in your 5e game.

Cass Crawford-Napack

Yeah, I know 5.5e is 2024 and my group uses 2014 rules. I'm planning to upgrade my Patreon to let my players use Ledger+ to add to their stashes to create loot tables for themselves, but it seems like the new book in D&D Beyond won't match those items exactly, which will be confusing. Thanks for the info!

Shank Mugen

Got it yesterday So excited to use the stuff from the book in my games Hoping for Book 3 and 4 to have a DnD Beyond option on Kickstarter whenever that happens

Gotrek's Mine

Despite tagget as 5.5, I cannot find weapon masteries on the magic weapons. Is this an error or I should just consider the proper WM for each weapon?

The Griffon's Saddlebag

I actually don't know! WotC should have assigned those to each item during their integration.
