Weapon (any bow), rare (requires attunement)
This bow looks like an elongated pair of elk horns in a tangle of vines, though it remains remarkably pliable. You gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls made using this magic weapon. The bonus increases to +3 if the target is a beast.
The weapon has 6 charges for the following properties. It regains 1d4 + 2 expended charges daily at dawn.
Beast Mark. When you hit a creature with an attack using this bow, you can expend 1 of its charges to force the creature to make a DC 15 Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is under the effects of hunter's mark (no concentration required) as if you had cast it, and for the duration, that creature is considered to be a beast (in addition to its other creature types) for the purposes of this bow's bonus to attack rolls. This version of hunter's mark ends early if the target drops to 0 hit points or if you use this property again.
Conjure Stomp. You can use an action to expend 1 of the weapon's charge and fire an arrow into the air directly above you, where it immediately and harmlessly disappears. Choose a target that you can see within 60 feet of you. A ghostly apparition of a giant elk's hoof then appears above the chosen target and crashes down on it, ignoring half- and three-quarters cover. The target must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d8 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The woods are my home. I was not born there, but my heart calls to it like any house or hearth. The animals are my neighbors. My colleagues. I am a steward to their homes as I am to mine. They are also my sustenance, at times. Some day I will be the same to another. It is a cycle, and I am proud to be welcomed into it.
