This slender, handleless walking cane has the insignia of a sword imprinted on the top. Regardless of a sword's shape or size, you can place it in the cane by sliding the blade into the insignia, as if the cane were a scabbard. When you do, the sword magically disappears into a special demiplane contained within the cane, and the top of the cane is magically transformed to represent the sword that was sheathed into the demiplane. If the sword has a crossguard, the cane can also create a handle that matches the guard. Only one sword can be stored within the demiplane at a time; you can withdraw a sword from it as though unsheathing it from the top of the cane.

Regardless of its form, the cane is indistinguishable from a normal cane, and neither it nor any sword stored within its demiplane can be targeted by divination magic, although a detect magic spell can determine that the cane itself is magical.

A gentleman would be a fool to walk with arms in full evidence. It speaks of overcaution, a lack of confidence that wherever one walks they have an unquestionable right to be.Of course, a gentleman would be a far greater fool to actually walk unarmed.
