Hi everyone! See you soon for our live class - 10 am MST

This is a topic class, so the materials are general. Bring your favorite watercolors, paper, and brushes. I can't wait to explore this topic with you!

If you can't make the class live, this class is recorded and will be available to watch back at any time.

Kristin Van Leuven

I've been wondering if I could work through a tiny painting tutorial and paint it in a larger format from the outset.

Shells

The grid is a geat tip

Joanna Brodie

Any recommendations on which grid app?

Diane M

This is very helpful, Kristen. I benefit so much from hearing you "think outloud" as you solve problems in a painting or just go through the process outloud. Really good. Thank you!!

Jeanette

The space/detail instruction is helpful!

Diane M

These are also the problems I have when I scale up. But perspective is also difficult for me...Is the barn too large for the scene, for example. Is the door too big for the distance that the barn is from me. That's a problem for me.

Diane M

thanks for the advice withperspective..very helpful (choosing key object as reference then let everything else compliment that)

Lynne Clements

I missed the opening. Could you say what brush you use most frequently for tiny projects? What size brushes work for bigger ones?

Diane M

Thank you, Kristen. Great class!

Jeanette

what size is the rigger do you use for the tiny paintings?

Shells

Love it very helpful

Thank you! Love your work and how you teach!

Sandy Manning

How do you get your mojo back after a family death? Sandy

Sandy Manning

Thank you that was helpful Sandy

Rosa Veldkamp

Thank you for answering my question Kristin! I asked it and then had to leave, so I'm on the replay. 😊

Wow, what a fantastic class!! I teach during the school day so wasn’t able to attend live. I enjoy the classes where we paint a specific subject, but I get *so much* knowledge and inspiration from these more topic-based classes! Thank you Kristin!

Hi KRISTIN, SUDDENLY I CANNOT ACCESS THIS LIVE CLASS AMONG OTHERS. THANK YOU

Gina Shirey

Kristin, I think I heard you say you would post information about your album in the post for the class, but I can't seem to find it. Can you let me know where the information is? Thank you!

Marian

Replay crew here! Great tutorial. A question I have centers around fear of not mixing enough color when scaling up. However, I think the idea of scaling up gradually is helpful. I have plenty of larger brushes and am looking forward to using my "other" paper for practice!
