Watering can for 27! There are a few wet into wet portions at the beginning and end of the tutorial that you might need to watch all the way through first, but the rest is building up the textures and layers slowly. Watch how often I add water and tap it away on the paper towel...it's a lot! If you have too much water in your brush you won't be able to get the scratchy dry brush texture you're looking for. Aim for a mix of texture and regular blobby strokes layered together so the texture doesn't become too busy. I can't wait to see how you do with this one! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette- cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, perm. rose, ultramarine blue, cerulean, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, cad red, perm. rose, ultramarine blue, indigo and sap green.

Brushes: round 4 Princeton brand.

Diana

Totally new here! Which paint brand are you using? Does anyone have the colors of here 8 split palette in Windsor Newton professional as that’s what I have. Thanks 😊

Bear Raeb Barrett

Kristin is using W&N professional paints. Listed colors in the description

Diana

Thank you! I thought so. I had 2 of her 8 once I checked the few I had. Just need to pick up the rest. Thanks for replying 😊

I'm 2 behind also! No worries - just keep going at your own pace.

I’m 10 behind, Lindsay! 😭 But I keep reminding myself that I was further behind more than once last year and was able to finish. We just keep pressing on!

This was fun! I got some sap green into my rusty orange, so my old watering can appears a bit “army fatigue”. Love a tiny painting for practicing skills - such cute results & not overwhelming!

I love this one - I will keep trying this over several more times though.

Love these. Still working on the first ones of last year but I will catch up. Thank you for all of these
