Rain drops for #60! I am so excited to show you a practical way to use splatter without actually using the exact texture for the final painting. This is the type of splatter that occurs in daily use as a basic technique we don't usually think about. The first part is wet into wet and goes pretty quick, but the shapes don't actually matter because we will be painting the water drops over the top. The most important part is to wait until the paper is damp to add the water splatter so that you get controlled large blooms. I can't wait to see how you do with this one! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

White - I'm using white gouache from Winsor and Newton, but you can use white watercolor or a white gel pen too.

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette- cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, perm. rose, ultramarine blue, cerulean, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, cad red, ultramarine blue and indigo.

Brushes: round 4 & 10 - Princeton - 3/4 flat for smacking splatter

What type of paint does Kristin use? I am not good at blending color yet, so I am wondering if using the same colors she uses would help.
