62/100 tiny painting challenge for 2026 (Patreon)

Sunrise over water for #62! I couldn't resist starting variegated wash month with a classic sky and water reflection. Focus on getting the colors to merge slightly without completely taking each other over. If you rinse your brush, tap as much water out as you can before going back to the paper to lightly blend the colors. Let everything dry and then you can add the darker details right over the top. I can't wait to see how you do with this one! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette- cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, perm. rose, ultramarine blue, cerulean, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, perm rose, ultramarine blue and indigo.
