Basket of daisies for #80. This one is super trippy with how it looks a mess the whole time while painting and then when the masking fluid comes off, and the white flowers are revealed, it all makes sense. Trust the process! Build up the layers and texture of the basket slowly, keeping a highlight on the right side. Keep the background simple and make sure all the masking fluid flowers are totally covered by paint and dried before removing the masking fluid. I can't wait to see how you do with this one. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Masking fluid: Winsor and newton pigmented masking fluid

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette. All colors are Winsor and Newton, except the manganese is Holbein - cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, perm. rose, ultramarine blue, manganese, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, cad red, sap green and ultramarine blue.

Brushes: round 4 - Princeton

I love white daisies. Yours came out beautifully. I’m excited to do this one. Great choice!

I love this one too. I love relaxing and doing a couple of these small paintings. Some I do over and over. This may be one of them!!
