Fall waterfall for #82! When putting down the masking fluid for the waterfall, just think about it as if you're painting the white. Go around the rock and tree shapes you've sketched and try to use lines and dry brush technique. Remember that it's always better to save more of the paper with masking and add more rocks and trees in later to fill in the white than to not have enough light space saved. Enjoy dotting in fall colors for distant trees, and try to create bigger trees and foliage at the bottom of the paper that's closest to you. I can't wait to see how you do with this one. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Masking: Winsor and Newton pigmented masking fluid

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette. All colors are Winsor and Newton, except the manganese is Holbein - cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, perm. rose, ultramarine blue, manganese, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, cad red, sap green and ultramarine blue.

Brushes: round 4 & 10 - Princeton
