Wow, I absolutely love the vibe of Jake, traditionally the lowly of the lowlies, suddenly gaining the status of the only serious justice at the table. Caldwell is giddy with the delight of sharing space with the Drawfee crew, and Nathan and Karina are just there for the goofs. Three shenaniganisers passing cooky judgements and feeding off each-other's silliness, and suddenly Jake is holding court, desperately trying to uphold the integrity of the court while Murph and Emily are out of town.

The flying car case is tough because (assuming they haven't left out any crucial details) it really does seem like the artificer saw a car, said "this can fly," and then the party proceeded to try to fly in it with no rolls to determine whether it was true. I do feel like the DM, if they actually wanted the party to use the car, should have at least given them a chance to roll insight or arcana into whether the car could fly, but also there's nothing stopping the party from asking to make those rolls. The only one who absolutely isn't at fault is the defendant, the pusher. Because the decision to do the pushing had already been made.

Ok, so for the person who wrote in asking for harder combat, a few questions that may end up helping you/your DM: - How many encounters are you having in an adventuring day? (Answer should be more than 1, you should be taking short rests between encounters, and there should be multiple deadly encounters in one day. If everyone is at tip-top shape from the beginning of the fight, it’s a lot more difficult to kill PCs) - Have you read “the monsters know what they’re doing”? Has your DM? It’s a great gift for DM friends!! - Have you considered switching up your domain? You have a very blasting-heavy domain, even if healing is a good choice, taking care of 10 enemies that are close together with a fireball is probably a more optimal choice rather than a cure wounds. - has your table ever considered switching to the Gritty Realism option from the DM’s Guide (Ch 9, Adventuring Options, Rest Variants) or the Slow Natural Healing option? Both of these make the game grittier and essentially turns the adventuring day into an adventuring week.

As Jake read the car case, where the DM narrated the car breaking in pieces down the cliff and then putting on "This is why we can't have nice things" I was rolling!
