As a PF2 nerd, absolutely living for this. Just FYI, if you're trained in Medicine, you *can* Treat Wounds outside of combat. Dunno if anyone is trained in Medicine but it's for more than just stabilization!

Finished out the episode. Really enjoying the wacky antics. Hope they realize that PF2e's equivalent to D&D 5e's Short Rests is using the Medicine skill to Treat Wounds. Worry that without that pressure release, the lethality will prove way too high. Especially since I don't think they're using Hero Points. Good luck in the second half! Can't wait to hear what people thought in the short rest! Especially with Emily's spell choices; I'm a regular PF2e player, and even I had to stop and look some spells up. Completely forgot Ancient Dust was even a thing!

That is a great episode! Hope you guys look up more systems in the future, maybe 13th Age or something that is much more friendly to the podcast. Pathfinder is nice and all, but you'll soon realise how slow the game is and how much it interrupts the role-play, if you were to stick to it. I think it's better to just take the things you like to d&d5e, than just play straight mathfinder, because of the design of this sytsem under the hood balanced out all the fun out of ttrpg.

Have used them outside of combat while playing a Cleric, but generally only when we were under a big time crunch. Doesn't normally make sense to burn the resources, but sometimes a building is actively threatening to come down and you have to skedaddle!

Sure. There are always edge cases in rpg s. But if you’re coming from Dnd this is one of the basic things to pick up. Especially since someone specifically asked if they could use medicine and they were told “no it’s only for stabilizing people”. That’s just wrong. The lack of need for a heal bot is one of the many advantages of playing a modern RPG like Pathfinder.

I’ve been listening to this show for 4 years and by god, once you fall into the pattern of constantly listening to this podcast the “make you cry, laughing humor goes away”. But by god I would die for krudberg. Single-handedly the funniest character I’ve heard murph do so far. The dimension 20 goblin can’t even compete. HILARIOUS. I’ve cried laughing so much.
