You get 10 million dollars but you have to become the Grinch for 1 year, you must always stay in character no matter what, you cannot explain to people why the sudden change in appearance or behaviour during or after the time elapses

Corgionne

Would you rather have unlimited bacon but no more games? Or games—unlimited games—but no games?

Skillful Ferret

You are visiting a friend's house, it's your first time there and you head in the direction they indicated, when you asked where the restroom was, but when you think you find it you just find a slightly off room with another door. A la back-rooms style. How many more rooms would you go through before you decided to hold it/what would you do?

alli

you wake up one morning feeling like things are completely standard and normal, and follow your usual routine. when you look in the mirror, however, you discover that you are the grinch. any further investigation (looking at photos, videos, or anything of the like) will show that you’ve always been the grinch, even as a child. your spouse is the same as it is now, and is not the grinch, and expresses confusion if you bring up ever not being the grinch. your life is mostly the same, except people are confused by your personality. they keep asking if you feel okay, or act surprised when you’re nice. this happens everywhere you go, and quickly gets on your nerves. you realize that the grinch version of yourself had a true grinchy personality. are you able to ignore the constant expectation that you will be an asshole to everyone you meet and stay true to your personality, or do you give in to grinch-pectations and take the chance to turn heel?

Matt Kilsby

You have been given exclusive access to the coding of the universe, but you have a very specific restriction of what you can change: You may change the vocal sound of any animal species in the world. For example, you could make it so all bears mew like kittens; magpies honk like Honda Civics; squirrels shout “Whatchu lookin at?” in a New Jersey accent, etc. There’s no limit to the noise you can choose - you could even make it a full song. They may not make any other noise. What animal do you pick? Which sound do you pick?

Erin G

you gain the ability to fly, but everytime you land you shit yourself like so bad

a day in the life of magni

You get 7,347 bitcoins but you have to survive a year as max the grinches dog and the grinch is not the Jim Carey one but the og cartoon and everything looks like a old cartoon

Luna-Azalea

If lets say the world is made full of people who can grant people wishes, and one offers you a choice, do you take unlimited bacon but no games, or unlimited games but no games

Gabagooblin

A Philly twist on a classic: how many mummers before you leave the restaurant? (They're in costume and have their instruments but aren't playing them- yet, at least.)

Kal and her cats Portland, Star, and Berlin

Not a scenario, simply a would you rather - would you rather have your arms be replaced by two dicks, or have your fingers be replaced by ten tiny dicks? (Essentially penis arms versus penis fingers) If that doesn’t sugar your coffee, which of you (or naddpod guests) would you eat first in a cannibalism or death scenario?

Meapyboy1234567

If you could dig through the trash if anyone in the world currently who would it be?

Graham Hogan

After years of neighborhood, townwide, and even inter-county tournaments you’ve finally made it to the big leagues: Gotham City’s Bicentennial Chili Cook Off. You’re confident that your unique blend of homegrown spices, tomatoes, onions and beans has a chance to win. It’s almost your turn to be judged, you’re only one step away from your chili dreams, but your heart sinks as you lay eyes on the surprise judge. Disguised by a baseball cap and sunglasses is your ex husband, Jared Leto’s The Joker and he hates your chili. When confronted, he asks that you don’t reveal to anyone his identity, adding that he promises to judge professionally and fairly if you don’t. If his identity is revealed there is a 50% chance the cook off is canceled but, your chances of winning will improve. If his identity is not revealed there is no chance the cook off is canceled but your chances of winning decreases. Do you reveal Jared Leto’s The Joker’s or do you keep his identity secret?

The Grinch (or a man dressed as the grinch, but who can be sure) says that unless Jake DMs at least a one shot this year, he's going to hack into your audio files and delete every recorded episode from now on. What then Jake? What then

TheBritt

Your a contestant on a game show hosted by the one and only señor grinch the green man ask u a simple question would you rather have unlimited bacon but no games or unlimited games but no games? The fate of humanity rest in your decision

You are a professor of moral philosophy, standing next to a trolley track. There is no one in any danger, and no trolley is approaching. Do you tie someone to the track to save your job? - Brigzzy PS: Hate the show PPS: just kidding you folks rule.

Kris Warrington

Would you rather fall off of the empire state building (no parachute) or fall out of a plane at 30,000 feet? (No parachute) Choose wisely.

Elf0004

You're driving down the road, minding your own business. You pull up to a stop light and then hear the car next to you revving it's engine, trying to get your attention. You look over and see it's Sebulba in a sports car challenging you to a race. There are no cops around. The light turns green. What do you do?

Dakota Paulson

You’re walking through the woods, enjoying nature. Suddenly, the Grinch, or someone in the most Carrey-esque grinch cosplay you’ve seen, approaches. He asks you to make a Choice, to take on his mantle, at the cost of all your current friendships. In return, you will become wealthier, more successful, and make a new life for yourself as the Grinch. Would you sacrifice your current self, to ascend to self-actualized Grinchdom

Omnis

You are teleported to the last game you played - would you rather have full knowledge of the world but have to start from square one with no funds, or have funds/weapons/skills but have all your knowledge of the game erased?

Mason N.

You beg the DM for a "DM PC", you roll a NAT20 luck check on it. Do you then ignore the "DM PC" for the rest of the campaign (like we are), or do you integrate them into the story?

Charles Bake

all the players in your multi-year campaign listened to NADDPOD on your recommendation and now want to turn the campaign into an all Grinch campaign because of recent obsession with the Grinch - the twist is that you are playing with your fiancee and their family, and their family is threatening to not come to the wedding if they can't do an all Grinch finale.

dakkadakka

You can teleport anywhere you have been before. There is no cooldown and it feels really pleasant and easy. However every time you teleport out of an area you let rip the loudest smelly toot possible and it lingers wherever you were for a good while. How often do you use your powers?

Kris Warrington

You get a million dollars, but you have to drag a body bag (with rocks in it for appropriate weight) from the south side of Manhattan to the north side with out being stopped. If you are stopped for any reason, you lose the money. Do you take the money?

Ambrose Blanchard

the grinch offers you wine from one of two cups. you assume one of the cups is poisoned, but he doesnt tell you that. there is also a dagger on the table. he gives you the choice to drink with him, or fight him. which do you pick?

Alex Henderson

This one is a legal curveball, so you might not be qualified to decide. (Just kidding, you’re the only ones who are qualified.) The real life U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has just ruled two days ago that, quote, “Grinch is not a protected class” and therefore Grinches are LEGALLY ALLOWED to be HARASSED in the workplace. What do you think about this? Please hand down a definitive ruling to settle this legal crisis once and for all. SOURCE: https://www.law360.com/corporate/articles/1836399 (P.S. Yes this is a real case.)

Grimmie

Someone wants to summon you. What 3 items would they need to put into a cauldron to make that happen?

Maxx Fisher

You and your partner are looking to spice things up in the bedroom and decide the bring in a third person. You and your partner spend hours on the various apps and cannot find anyone to join. Your partner says they have an old friend that may be interested in joining and they want to meet the next day for dinner to see if there is some kind of a connection and to see if you all could make it work. The next evening rolls around and you and your partner are waiting at the table when they get a text message saying their friend is here. Your back is to the door and your partner stands up to greet their friend. Its the grinch. WYD???

Felix Principe-gillespie

You are sat recording a podcast with friends when a wizard crashes in through your door, he points to you and says you must come with him immediately to save his kingdom, he hands you an expensive looking sword and shield and gestures for you to follow, you cannot see where he originally came from, and he seems to believe what he is saying, do you follow?

Alex Ferri

You are being chased for 10 miles without getting caught to win $1M— can either be chased by the Grinch with a 1 mile head start, or Barney Rubble with a 5 minute head start.

Nick Neverman

You and your partner welcome a wonderful baby boy into the world. Several weeks go by and you wake up to find Jim Carrey’s Baby grinch sitting in the bassinet. No one acts any differently and everyone treats it like the baby grinch has been your baby all along. Another several weeks later baby grinch looks at you and says in perfect English “I am your baby now, the other one will now take my place and become the grinch, do not go searching for them.” What do you do?

Hayley Carter

You get play D&D for your job. That's literally all you have to do. No extra work unless you want to (like no live shows, podcast, streaming, etc.) However, if you ever roll 3 Nat 20s in a row you become the Grinch for a year starting the moment you roll your 3rd Nat 20. Do you take the deal?

Ryan Gallagher

Elevator, Coworkers, Roomates. You must choose one person to be trapped on an elevator with for 24 hours, one person to be coworkers with at a 9-5 job, and one person to be roomates with in a 2 bedroom apartment for a 1 year lease. Your options: Sonic the hedgehog, Fred Flintstone, and of course, the Grinch. What do you choose?

Brian J Long

You are given the ability to ‘Hibernate’ for three months in a row for the rest of your life. If you agree to the deal you must sleep for the same consecutive three months of your choosing every year for the rest of your life. You will wake up at the end of each hibernation feeling incredibly rejuvenated and healthy, peak physical and mental condition. You will not be able to do any work to make money during the hibernation and you will miss any life events that happen during this time. Would you take this deal knowing that you will miss out on ¼ of the rest of your life and what months of the year would you choose if you decide to do it.

FusRohNahSon

You are offered one million dollars, but in exchange you must pick a rival. Would you rather fight, to the death barehanded, a chicken everytime you opened ur car to drive it. OR. Once a year you fight, to the death, an orangutan but you have a sword. Both are trying to kill you. Its the same chicken and orangutan. You cannot hoard the chicken meat but u can the orangutan.

IVthatGuy

Would life just be better if we were descendents of cows instade of primates?

Skeeter Dee

You gain the one skill you've have always wanted (whether it be a super power or other average ability), but you have to give up one of your senses

KellBell

You must choose one: an incredible Michelin star meal, but you must dine with a minion; OR a meal at a restaurant with terrible reviews and a C health/sanitation rating, but you dine with a celebrity of your choice.

Zornch

You’ve had a hard stressful week and you’re finally enjoying your one day off, as you relax on your couch and watch some random tv you glance at your window and you see perfectly and clearly Gumby walk by, you know you saw it and it for sure was there, do you tell other people, do you wonder what else is secretly out there, does this ruin your life.

Braxton Robinson

Here's a fowl one, if you had to fall in love with a bird which bird would it be? Would you then want to be bird size, have the bird be your size, or both stay the same size when you eventually move in together?

HolyBlasphemy

You are granted virtuoso level skill in the instrument of your choice. However, to retain your newfound musical prowess, you must join The Mean Ones, a 4-piece hardcore punk band that exclusively performs Grinch cover songs in suffocating Jim Carey-style Grinch outfits. While you can play in private settings without issue, any attempt you make to perform in public or record yourself without the band results in nothing but ear-bleeding static. The rest of the band is receptive to changing their sound and image, but they are all stubborn about it and it will take years of frustrating discussions to convince them to fully abandon the Grinch angle. If the band breaks up, if you quit the band, or if you are kicked out of the band, you will immediately lose your musical skills and have to start over from a beginner level. Do you rock the boat and risk losing your musical blessing by challenging the status quo of the band for the sake of your artistic expression? Or do you accept your fate as a punk Grinch to secure your new talent and easily impress friends, family, and acquaintances for the rest of your life?

Jesse Dunlap

You are a teller at a bank. Suddenly without warned a masked and armed robber jumps the line and starts yelling for you to open the vault. You comply taking him to the vault room and begin to explain how your going to open it. While your mind is racing and your life passes before your eyes you hear a load fart! You turn towards the robber who is standing as if he has shit his pants. You both scoff out a laugh at how upsurde the situation is. Do you feel more at ease? Are you inclined to comment about it as you give home the money. Bonus question. He drops the gun ehile bagging up the money and it lands near your hand. Do you grab it? And does the pants shitting influence this decision?

Josh Kumar

You're contacted by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, who explains that they are trying to free up $10 million to provided scholarships for low income children to go to college. However, due to an archaic rule set by the Vatican, they can only unlock the money from their trust if you, yes you, play Pope Francis in a game of tennis. They explain that you are under no obligation to do anything other than just play a single regulation style set with the Pope, and you are free to go as hard or as easy as you'd like on the 87 year old, with no negative consequences for your performance or intensity of play. The match will not be recorded and the Vatican has specifically booked a court near you and has cleared it of any would be bystanders or other people who could observe you. After agreeing, when heading to your local tennis court where the Pope will meet you, someone stops you and informs you that they want you to "embarrass Papa Francisco" on the court. They hand you $1,000 in cash and explain they will give you an additional $50,000 if you absolutely destroy the old man in tennis. They explain while they will not be there, but they will know if you comply, and clarify that they are motivated by nothing else than a desire to see Pope Francis get absolutely mauled in a game of tennis. How hard do you play against the Pope?

Lily

You get $1,000, everyday for life, but at least once a day you need to spend a minimum of 10 minutes explaining Grinch lore (that you have to make up) to a new person. You can call it quits with 24 hours notice, but if you don’t quit and go a day without explaining made-up grinch lore to a new person (for a full 10 minutes) you owe back all the money you’ve gotten. How many days/weeks/months/years do you go before you quit?

Ryan Gallagher

Alternate options from campaign one: Galad, the Pendergreens, and Bastion

You find yourself in a room, sitting in a chair. Before you are two identical Grinches. One is the Grinch, and one is a man in an incredible Jim Carrey Grinch costume, but you do not know which is which. They tell you that you may not leave the chair until you eat an entire plate of scrambled eggs. You may ask them any questions you wish, but they warn you that the man in the costume always tells the truth and the Grinch always lies. You do not know how long the eggs have been there, but you do know the Grinches prepared them. You are not tied to the chair, but are told that if you try to leave, they will get you back in the chair. How long do you wait before eating the eggs?

Kyle

The Ginch abducts you at night and tells you he will ruin Christmas forever by destroying humanity unless you can get first place in his challenge. The challenge is this: You will be pitted against 100 random people on earth who are ages 18-100. You have to pick a game or contest but you do not know who you will be facing beforehand. You have to win 1st place. All of the contestants are mind controlled by The Grinch and will act in the challenge to the best of their ability, but they do not gain any other knowledge or physicality that they did not already have. What game / challenge do you pick to beat 100 random humans at for the fate of Christmas / all of humanity?

Firelord Luda

You have a 10 year old child, gender irrelevant, they want to be the grinch for Halloween, but you know if you get them the costume they will wear it every day for the rest of the year while simultaneously giving a perfect Jim Carrey grinch imitation while wearing it. But I'd you don't get it for them they will bring up the time you ruined their Halloween in every social encounter untill they are 25. What would you do?

Jesse Dunlap

FYI other than the shitting this is a true story from when I was a teller.

PWJ

You are brought onto a gameshow, and for 1 million dollars, on live TV, you must successfully call and gaslight someone into thinking that at the end of The Grinch, he is crucified and rises again 3 days later. You can decide if this is the original animated special, the live action one, or the recent CGI one. Who do you call, and how do you convince them that this Grinch-Christmas-Easter falsehood is the truth?

Bryce Jackson

You are able to use the find steed spell in real life. However there is a 1/10 chance that it summons a random person who will act as your steed for the duration of the spell. Even if you tell him no it's okay I don't need you to do this he will just get more frustrated and tell you to just get it over with so he can go home. (It's always the same person however the initial summon would be random could be a random office worker could be your grandma could be a baby you get the point)

Casey Fenton

You gain access to a magical mirror that allows you to do a character creation, video game style modification of how you look to any specifications you want however, every time you begin to say something you have to start your sentence with “um actually…” even if it doesn’t make sense grammatically.

Extremely High Elf

Would you rather been in a Disneyland that's completely empty except for you and a single worker who seems to be everywhere all the time and he refuses to acknowledge anything off about the day or An abandoned but harmless seeming amusement park with barely working animatronics and the rides will run randomly. Which would you pick?

yumehop (no. 1 ol' cobb fan)

You have to live for 2 years swapped with one of your campaign characters at the start of their journey, freaky Friday / Your Name style. All of the character's physical and mental statistics and personality are replaced with yours. After 2 years you return back to the human world and retain all the abilities of that character. You find out that the character has been living your life in your absence and begs you to let them keep this life. The comforts of the modern age vastly outshine the perils of the adventuring world. In addition, they really enjoy having powers/feats beyond normal people's means in human society. Do you return back to your adventure and leave behind the modern world forever, knowing that someone else has taken over your family, friends, and loved ones? Or do you put your foot down and battle your character to the death for your rightful place in the human world?

Annie the Feywild therapist

You suddenly find yourself the host of a game show with no memory of how you got the position or to the studio that day. Everyone is looking at you expectantly. There are three contestants, all normal looking people standing behind colorful podiums. You are handed note cards that tell you what to say: “this is game changer the only game show where the game changes every show i am your host Sam Reich and I’ve been here the whole time” - what sort of wicked games do you subject your contestants to while occupying Sam Reich’s body?

sarfs

You’re having a quiet evening at home when an emergency alert pings on your phone. In ten minutes, a hungry tiger will appear in a random, unknown location inside your house. It will be too disoriented to act for the first six seconds after it appears. Neither you nor the tiger can leave the home until the other is dead. You can prepare using anything you already have at home, but you can’t leave your house and no one on the outside can help you in any way. How do you spend the next ten minutes, and what do you do once the tiger appears?

Randy

You are presented with a box with a button on it. You are instructed by the person presenting the box that if you press it you will receive an immediate deposit to you bank account of 500$. You may keep the box and press the button as many times as you wish whenever you wish, but each time you do someone in the world will become the grinch. It can be you or someone you know or a complete stranger, but each time it’s pressed another person becomes instantly and unexplainedly the grinch

You are tasked with taking a young child of your choice to meet the characters in Disney and take pictures. After the child takes a picture with the first mascot you can sense they felt uncomfortable. When you ask the child what they mean all they say is “Their hand felt weird”. Do you take the child to go see more mascots or do you take them back home for the day?

Julia Tayloe

You are on Love is Blind Season 46 and you’ve fallen in love. You say yes when you get proposed to, and upon the reveal, you see that your beloved fiancée is the Grinch. This season’s twist (as they must do twists now to even get any kind of views - this season’s twist is “How the Grinch Stole your Heart” or colloquially known as (Oops, I fell in love with Grinch”) is that the Grinch is the only potential match. The other guys are just men in grinch costumes. If you don’t marry the Grinch, you are forced to become him and steal Christmases for the rest of eternity.

JesterHat

You're having a perfectly nice day, chilling in your house, playing video games, dressed in a perfect imitation of the Grinch. Maybe... you *are* the Grinch? All of a sudden you're ripped from your home... In a lamp? You're a Grinch genie. A Greenie? Grinchie? Ginch? Doesn't matter. This rube before you makes a wish for a super power. How do you monkey-paw it? -Can fly! (As long as you can hold your breath) -Can shoot laser beams out of your eyes! (Fries your eyebrows, can't use again until they regrow) -Can turn yourself invisible! (But Everything goes invisible to you too) Create a super-power, and then ruin it!

Tyler S Anthony

You meet a genie. His deal? Every 5 years you get one wish (classic genie rules apply - no wishing for more wishes, etc.). The catch? A doppelgänger of you is created, and you have to split half your life with it. Half the time, it’s you living your life, the other half, the doppelgänger is pretending to be you. Do you take the deal?

Blubread00

You are at Disney. You are having a fun time at the park but you slowly notice that all of the mascots stare at you when you walk by. Eventually one of the mascots approach you and presses a folded piece of paper and a key into your hand leans in and whispers “save us”. As he walks away you notice ink on your hand. As you unfold the piece of paper you see it is a map and a cage symbols circled in red. What do you do

Scottee

Greetings to the honourable- wait, not that. Anyway! Scenario: you pick up an antique lamp that your spouse bought from a wizened old lady in a mysterious pop-up antique shop. (Emily/Murph, if you want, you can pretend you both got it as a gift from Siobhan or something. I guess.) After you rub the lamp because of course you do, a furry green genie emerges and says that he will grant you one wish. There's a catch- if you wish for something he's been asked for before, not only will he not grant the wish, but he will "sever you." He will not elaborate as to what this means. What unique wish would you ask for? Do you risk getting severed?

ChromaticMars

Hey gang! Take a gander at this quandary: You and your bestfriend Keith (keep in mind Keith is the most solid dude you’ve ever met) are on a road trip to Vegas. You’re currently the one driving through the middle of the empty desert save for a few road signs. You eventually see a hitch hiker wearing a full Jim Carrey grinch costume in 100+ heat. On top of that he’s wearing a blinding sequin Show Girl costume and holding a sign that says “Vaygus or Bust.” Kieth your solid friend suggests picking up the Grinch because it’ll give you guys “that road-trip magic” You tell Kieth calmly “Kieth if we don’t get to Vegas as soon as possible I’ll miss seeing The Blue Man group (it’s your dream to watch them BTW and you won the tickets in a contest okay?). Kieth gets really quiet as you continue driving, once the Grinch is out of sight in the rear view mirror you see a tiny sparkling green spot standing in the middle of the road in front of you. You see him, it’s the same exact Grinch in the same costume holding the same sign, Kieth calm as ever says “come on man, don’t be a turd, pick him up”. Once you get closer to the Grinch standing in the road you see he comes up to your side and says “Don’t be a turd, let me drive this puppy”. And slaps the roof of the car pretty hard. Do you let the Grinch in the showgirl costume drive your car while you sit in the backseat on the rest of your 4 hour road trip?

You and your partner are viewing an apartment with an estate agent. It is clean, well-furnished, the layout is perfect, and the rent is cheap. Just when the agent is locking up for you to leave. There is a loud crash from next door, and then The Grinch (or someone in an impeccable Grinch costume) walks out of the neighboring apartment. You look at your estate agent, they are visibly nervous and sweating profusely. You ask what the deal with The Grinch is but all they'll say is "They're fine but they like to 'Get Grinchy' sometimes" and will elaborate no further. Do you take the apartment?

You are at a clothing store where you pick out pants and a shirt. At the counter, you decide to only buy the pants and ask the teller to remove the shirt from the bag. While you are taking a train (not the subway) home, you unaccountably shit your pants. You head to the train bathroom and throw your pants out the window. When you go to get the pants you just purchased from the bag, you realize that the teller only gave you the shirt. What do you do?

Neon

It is 8pm, you're spending a quiet evening in beside your long term partner. While your partner is out of the room, you are visited by a ghostly apparition. This spectral entity looks like, sounds like and claims to be, the ghost of Will Smith. Will desperately explains that he has only one night to complete his unfinished business; which requires him "doing Hitch". Like his character in the 2005 film Hitch, he must take an unsuspecting individual out on the town, and instruct them while they embark on a series of speed dates. Will's mission can only be considered complete if someone genuinely agrees to a second date with you. He insists you are the only one who can help him and that failure will forever strand him between the mortal realm and the world beyond. If you point out that Will Smith is still alive, the ghost will shake his head, insisting that he doesn't want to talk about it. A Google search shows no evidence of any celebrity deaths, but the ghost will insist "It hasn't dropped yet " As a final caveat, the ghost warns that he can't be seen or heard by anyone but you. Do you go out on the town? How transparent are you about the situation? Or do you turn the ghost down and hope that it is not the real Will?

You're on vacation with your family, when you come across a small shop. When you enter, you see the canonical Grinch sitting at a table. On the table is a d20. The Real Grinch offers you a choice - roll the die. On a Nat 20, you get 1 million dollars, no catches or downsides. On a Nat 1, you immediately die and the Grinch consumes your body whole, unhinging his jaw like a snake. Your family will never know what happened to you. Any other number, nothing happens - but, you can roll again. On a 19 or 20, you get 2 million, on a 1 or 2, you die. Any other number, and nothing happens. If you roll again, 1-3 kills you, 18-20 gets you 4 million, increasing odds until sonething happens .You can roll the die as many times as you want until something happens or you quit. If you quit, the shop dissappear. What do you do?

This is one I’ve been musing on for a while, mostly because I started Dungeon Meshi. If you were living as an ordinary adventurer in a fantasy world, what would be your personal limit for what you would consider morally okay to eat. Some examples: A Disney-style mermaid, A Kuo-Toa, A Dragon that couldn’t speak, A deer that could speak, A pumpkin with a human face, A large slime with what looks like a human skeleton inside, A walking ham that begs for his life a defense mechanism, Etc.

You and your middle school indoor kid friends signed up for summer camp, and you are beyond excited for your first chance to experience life in the great outdoors. As you step off the bus, everything is going well… but as you unpack at your bunks, the lights go out and a mysterious figure calls out from the shadows. “I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues,” says the stout Lorax, who steps into a shaft of moonlight and offers a you and your friends a mysterious green substance. Through his riddles, it seems he wants you to either eat it or smoke it. He won’t explain why, and if you press him he gets increasingly nervous, borderline terrified, and insists it’s “for the trees.” If one of you tries to leave, you see the doors are locked. The windows are now barred by branches that weren’t there before. The Lorax is getting increasingly sweaty. Do you imbibe the green substance? How?

(No-Grinch situation) You’re at a Costco and there’s a free samples stand. When you go up to it, you realize they’re giving out AA batteries. The batteries are in the normal little plastic sample cups. You think it’s a little odd, but a good deal because batteries are expensive, so you get in line. But then as the person in front of you in line leaves with their new battery, they take a huge cartoonish bite out of it. You look around and realize several people are chowing down on their free batteries, carrot-style. The smiling attendant hands you your battery. If you ask why people are eating the batteries the attendant just says cheerfully “they’re free!” Do you take it? Call an ambulance for everyone in the store? Try taking a bite?

You find your self at an intersection, a trolly coming towards a split in the tracks. To the left, sonic stuck to the tracks, to the right, the entire Flintstone family. You can only save one, who do you save?

You are in a public place when a small child (10 or under) comes running up to you. They are visibly upset, but managing not to cry. They ask, in the steadiest voice they can, that you beat up someone. The person they indicate is... is that the grinch? It's either the highest quality, professional-level grinch costume you've ever seen, or hell, it may actually be the grinch. Anyway, that's who the kid wants you to beat up. They refuse to explain why. Also your significant other is there, and not only thinks you should do it, but is confused why you haven't agreed already. What do you do?

Your best friend is going into labor and she wants you there for support. Of course you go and hold her hand through it. She is a normal woman you have been friends with since college. The doctor delivers the baby and holds up a baby grinch. No one comments on the fact that it's an angry fuzzy green baby strait out the movie. Do you pretend it's a normal baby to keep your friend happy? She is overjoyed and keeps saying how beautiful the baby is.

You're at a baseball game for whichever team you want, and so far it's been a pretty exciting game. You go to grab another hot dog or beer during one of the innings, and notice out of the corner of you eye someone working at one of the stands is in one of the worst Grinch costumes you have ever seen in your life, hell he may definitely NOT be the Grinch himself. As you get your order he brushes his hand over yours and says "Your team is going to win." Do you take this information and go place a huge sports bet on the team, trusting the Anti-Grinch, or take it in stride as a weird conversation?

You're you, not a different person, still in silk pj's but now you're the captain and everyone's assuming you're going down with the ship. What do you do?

You’re driving you’re car down a lonely road in the county at night, not a soul is in sight when slowly you see another vehicle coming towards you in the gloom, it’s headlights are off and it’s swerving all across the road. As you pass by one another you see the grinch at the steering wheel hands caked in blood, a cold look in his eyes, he makes eye contact with you as you pass by, points a finger gun at you and winks menacingly. What do you?

After an intense workout at the gym, you are wiping down the weights you used. When you wipe the last plate, a genie appears and offers you an incredible power - the ability to not sweat! The catch? In order for the ability to be active, you must wear an authentic replica of Jim Carrey's Grinch suit (or hell, it could be the actual Grinch's suit) including makeup and fur. While wearing the suit your body is still able to effectively cool itself, and you suffer no ill effects that would lead to hyperthermia or heat stroke. You are not allowed to explain to anyone in public why you are wearing the suit. Do you take this awesome power?

You are walking down the street with your partner and see a yard sale happening. There is a man clearing house, getting rid of absolutely everything, including a sweet looking dog. When you question the man about the dog he grumbles and doesn't say much other than you can have her. Disturbed by his apathy and the fact that he's moving away without his dog, you bring the pooch home and fall in love with her. She's as sweet as can be and you don't know why this man would abandon her. You realize she's got a charm on her collar with a cryptic message on it and become concerned. Your partner contacts a wizard to decipher it and the wizard tells you that it's some sort of ward meant to contain powerful magical beasts. He does some arcana checks and tells you that your sweet dog transforms into an 18 foot tall dragon once every 365 days for a full 8 hours, and her next shift is in one day. You go back to her previous owner and demand an answer for his negligence and he tells you that the dog belonged to his dead wife who wasted her whole life managing the dogs condition. He won't kill the dog out of respect for his dead wife but says if you want to survive then you should kill the dog before it turns into a dragon. When you ask how his wife managed the condition, he claims that she "tied it to a tree in the forest". What do you do with the dog? (This is an actual dream that I had.)

Say you are visiting a museum of history and are perusing the exhibits when you come across a fossil one. Right there, perfectly preserved is a heartfelt message to you, from ages long ago but is signed "The Grinch." The fear that grips you is immense, how does the Grinch know something so sincere about you, do you A) go about your life wondering who is the secret Grinch that knows you or B) ignore it and try to go on living despite having a Grinch in your life that will continue to leave messages.

You awake in your bed one morning and find your self in a room with three doors. Above each door is a plaque but each one says something different. The left door says “Sayian, Dragon Ball Z” The middle door says “Chunin, Naruto” The far right one says “The last Final Fantasy you played.” Which door do you choose?

You're having lunch with your mother, quietly enjoying your time together. Suddenly your mother looks you in the eye and shifts, changes. She takes on the visage of an otherworldy horror. Green, with bulging eyes, a remarkably small nose, hair covering her new body. A distended stomach suddenly grows and the fingers elongate horribly. You're staring into the eyes of what you could only assume is the Grinch. She shudders, looks into your eyes, then says "only you can prevent what is to come". Your mother (The Grinch) shifts horribly back to herself and seems not to know what just happened. What do you do next?

You are offered the opportunity to work as the sole heavy equipment operator on a new development project. You will be paid $1M/day over the course of a year to build a city with absurdly difficult architecture. You have no training in operating heavy equipment and there is a high chance of a mishap and/or injury. However, you will not be fired no matter what. Knowing that for every slip up, the Grinch will steal Christmas forever from one family you personally know. How many days do you work on Whoville? How many slipups would you tolerate before quitting?

You actually get the opportunity to have dinner with one person of your choice living or dead at a restaurant of their choice, but their one stipulation is that you cannot under any circumstances tell anyone this dinner is happening ever. You agree to these terms and everything is fine for a few days until your boss informs you that you need to go on a three week business trip with the planned dinner exactly in the middle of it. If you bring this up to the person you are having dinner with they will think you are trying to weasel out of the dinner and will cancel. What excuse do you invent for your boss to get out of your business trip?

You walk into a bar with some of your friends looking to have a have a few beverages and unwind after a long week. The bar is mostly empty when you first arrive but after you get a table and settle in with your ice cold Hitachino people begin to enter at irregular intervals. Every one of them with a massive raven on their shoulder. After 30 minutes there are 7 people with ravens in this bar. The ravens are very well behaved, making no noise other than the occasional crunching of peanuts. It is very clear this is not a raven convention as the bird bearing patrons don't even acknowledge each other presence and if you ask your friends what's going on they tell you to stop staring and that your being weird. What do you do?

You are flying from LA to London 12+ hours, you have an economy window seat near the front of the plane. The person in the middle seat is a mother with a baby that won’t stop crying. Like from the moment they got on the plane they haven’t stopped crying and it doesn’t seem like they will. If you attempt to calm the baby the mother will snap at you. The father of the baby comes up to you and offers you his middle seat near the back. He does mention it appears there are two grinches in the window and aisle seats, he cannot tell if it is a costume or they are both the same being. They have a lot of messy snacks and appear to be spilling over slightly into the middle seat from both sides. Do you stick with the ear throbbing baby or risk the possibly messy grinches??

You are able to use a device to hop from universe to universe, both fictional universes and ones parallel to ours. But no matter where you go, or how you dress or ant changes you make to your appearance. You always have people stopping and saying things like "Hey are you "insert name here" from "insert project you worked on here." Sometimes they are fans and sometimes they aren't. But everyone recognizes you. Would you still want to be able to do it. I will say to be fair, masks and other face coverings will work as disguising your identity. Your family decides one day to go play mini golf. You arrive at your local place to find that they are running a contest for free ice cream for a year. Once you get your clubs and balls, you go to the first hole and see that everyone else on the course is a professional golfer. They all have cameras and reporters around, narrating all their moves, as if on a regular golf course. You had no idea this was happening, but they all look surprisingly serious about winning the ice cream. Since you already paid, do you stay and play as normal, or do you cut your losses and leave. Note, much like a regular tournament, everyone is silent except for the narrators, so any sort of noise you make will be heavily judged.

You are at your final interview for your dream position at a prestigious tech company. The hiring manager tells you that you would be a great fit, but she needs to bring in your would-be supervising manager to ask a few questions and give the final okay. She leaves and comes back with Danny Devito. If you acknowledge that he is in fact Danny Devito, he and the hiring manager seem confused and don't know who Danny Devito is, and introduce him as Paul. The hiring manager leaves and it's just you and Danny "Paul" Devito in the room. He askes you mundane interview questions and at the end says, "Listen Kid, I like you, but I'm embezzling the shit out of this company and if you try to rat me out again, you'll have some visitors at your home." A beam of telekinetic force erupts from you in a very visible manner and you are able to save them from falling. When you look across the room you see the Grinch giving you the finger sitting next to Elon musk and Danny DeVito who are just casually talking. After making eye contact with the Grinch he gives you a 10 second countdown before he pulls a Glock from under the table and shoots Elon musk in the head while saying "looks like drinks are on me today" then proceeds to hop onto Danny's back and ride him away like a horse immediately breaking the sound barrier, what do you guys do?

You’re out feeding a bunch of stray cats one day some fancy feast when one of the cats gives you the side eye. Turns out this cats is a deity taking a break from his heavenly duties in cat form. While they appreciate your efforts to feed the less fortunate felines, the gods are fickle and so are their tastes in canned tuna. The god feels both generous and slighted so they give you a choice. Be loved by every feline you ever come across, but food from now own will always taste foul, there is no getting used to it it’s a sliding scale to infinity and for you each meal always gets worse, seasoning will not make it better. Or food is euphoric, it will never be bad if it’s edible, and you’ll never get bored of it it’s always getting better and better, but from now on it’s on site with every cat you ever see, big or small. They’ll seem unhinged with the lengths they go to to get to you. This includes animals who act catlike and people who may genuinely identify as cats.

You are on holiday in a city you have always wanted to visit, with your favourite traveling partner. You’re finishing up a lovely but filling lunch at the top of a long steep hill overlooking the Olde Towne and can choose between walking through the forest down, probably an hour and a half on a well maintained but still forest-y path with a stomach full of vacation lunch, OR Take the cable car/cliff elevator/gondola down! It’s 45 minutes and beautifully scenic . BUT your partner has a fear of heights and sometimes gets travel sick, and it does look like it’s getting stormy. You both dressed and prepped for the walk but the weather is getting a bit heavier than anticipated. As you stand on the platform for the cable car, watching some clouds roll in, you can see that there is one car empty, which would make it easier for your partner if they do feel ill. As you walk towards it, one other passenger slips in — it seems to be someone in a green hiking jacket and pants. Or — wait. The grinch? The grinch is sitting in the far corner of the able car — the cable of which is starting to sway a bit. Hike? Or Hurl?

You’re been invited to the Boonta Eve pod race under the assumption that you’ll be sitting in the top box with Jabba the Hutt. When you get there, the security is really insistent that you need a pass to get into the box, but you were told specifically by Jabba that you didn’t need one and that you’d be fine to just walk up, but to call him if there’s any trouble. You were over 30 minutes late to the race and it’s already started, do you call Jabba to come down and tell security to let you pass, potentially causing him to miss a key moment in the race? Or do you just accept that you won’t be getting the top box and try to find a lower seat just by yourself?

You've been dating this girl for a while now. Things are going great, the holidays are right around the corner, so you both decide it's finally time to meet her parents. Upon arriving at your partner's parents' house you can see just from the yard they are serious hoarders. When you knock on the door a man in a super realistic Jim Carry Grinch costume answers the door (He could be the real Grinch you don't know). Looking around you realize none of the neighbors have holiday decorations up and all the junk inside and outside of the house appear to be stolen Christmas decorations. Your partner's mom is just a normal dressed person. Your partner is super happy and hugs their parents. Grinch dad is completely in character. (or maybe he's the real Grinch). He'srambling at the dinner table about how much he hates Christmas. Your partner and their mom are just acting like this is normal. What do you say? What do you do?

Would you rather every time you buy something and you have to bring out your huge millennial wallet and get accosted and verbally abuse by a group of middle schoolers or have a nice smaller wallet and you have to pay the Grinch a surcharge fee of $5, and if you don't want to pay it an extra who from whoville helps him when he is trying to ruin your Christmas? And you're not allowed to substitute with any other payment device, ie, your phone, smart watch, etc.

You are waiting for the bus on your way home from work. The bus is running a few minutes late, when suddenly you see a classic yellow school bus pull up to the stop. The bus door opens and you see Miss Frizzle from the hit children’s TV show “The Magic School Bus” sitting in the driver’s seat, with the rest of the cast seated throughout the bus. Miss Frizzle invites you onto the bus, telling you they’re on their way to explore the Mariana Trench. When you ask if the bus will be able to handle the deep water pressure, Miss Frizzle just chuckles and doesn’t really give you a straight answer. Do you get on the bus?

A la FHJY Gertie style, if you had to choose one person today in your real life to declare as your nemesis for life who would it be? You are elected president of the United States. You are getting the lay of the White House from your appointed Chief of Staff when he introduces you to the head of the Secret Service - one J. Carrey. You aren’t even remotely surprised to see a man in an extremely realistic Grinch outfit. But strangely your chief of staff is shocked, so is everyone else. Just then, brain matter is sprayed across the room as J. Carrey has been shot in the head. You look over and see Paul Blart, mall cop. He tells you the White House has been Grinched and you need to get out or suffer a green fate. Paul, through a combination of prat falls, whacky hijinks, and fat jokes that would have even felt dated 10 years ago gets you to the escape tunnel - only then revealing he is getting Grinched himself. He urges you to escape without him. Do you abandon your hero Paul Blart to his Christmas hating fate or do you risk infection yourself by taking him with you in hopes of finding a cure?

Hypothetically, if you were handed let’s say, the most powerful pencil in the world after you just beat George RR Martin in a writing competition, but George believed that the pencil that really belonged to JRR Tolkien was his, so he dug up Tolkien and stole his pencil just for Sarah J Maas to have already take the pencil before George so the pencil didn’t belong to either George or Tolkien, then you come along and take a different pencil from Maas, now the pencil that belonged to Tolkien then Maas is now yours some how??? So when George stole the pencil that belonged to Tolkien from his grave, even though it belonged to Maas, and tried to kill you with it! But it didn’t work… you lived to write another sentence, so you beat George and, somehow you end up with the pencil that is super powerful. What would you do next? While you’re deciding on your answer as to what to do next, please also explain how that makes sense.

The Murph Transformation Complication - Picture this, You are sitting down for the first session of campaign one, the table is set, your dice ready. You are so excited to get recording. Then something strange happens, Murph walks in to begin the campaign, he takes his seat and looks at you all. Before you, Murph has transformed into the grinch. He begins recording like nothing has happened, but seems a little grincher than normal. How would the campaign go? Do you say anything? Do you leave him to DM? Please this is a burning question in my mind. P.s. everytime he says Hardone and Beverly he seems to accidentally say ‘Tom and Jerry’ and for some reason everytime he goes to Say Moonshine he stumbles over his words and calls her ‘Fred Flintstone’ Thank you, Sincerely, James

You plug it in and are transported to the world of Mobius. IMMEDIATELY, you see a blue ball of kinetic force barreling towards a kindly old man in a red jumpsuit. He has a fun mustache. A co-worker you don't know super well invites you to coffee at a local cat cafe, claiming it'll be "Guaranteed, the cutest day of your life." When you arrive, the staff at the cat cafe stare tensely at your co-worker, who begins to show signs of being terribly allergic to cats - puffy eyes, runny nose, everything. The co-worker insists that it's fine, and to be fair, this is an incredibly cute experience - the cats are super friendly and well-socialized, and the coffee and tea is excellent, if a little overpriced. After arriving and playing with the cats, the co-worker goes to the bathroom, and one of the employees pushes an epipen into your hand and says "we can't legally use this from a liability standpoint, but you're covered, just don't let them see it coming or else they'll fight back." It's important to note that this cat cafe worker has an eye-patch on. Any questions asked of the staff regarding this person are answered with "We almost lost this place once before, we can't do it again." The co-worker comes back to the table, visibly degenerating and starts having trouble swallowing their cortado. Do you try and convince your co-worker to leave, or wait to use the epipen, and if so, do you attempt to do so stealthily, or wait until they are incapacitated?

Short and sweet. While getting up from your desk at work (to head to a big in person presentation) you spill water on your lap, specifically directly on your crotch area. It looks exactly like you pissed yourself. How do you proceed? Do you take more water and spill it on the rest of your pants so that it looks like you spilled everywhere? Do you spill coffee that way it’s clearly not pee? Do you pull a middle school moment and use a notebook to cover it? Etc You can’t cancel the meeting or you’ll be fired, and while you could theoretically skip you’re up for a big promotion and would likely not get it if you aren’t there.

Okay… hear me out. Every day from the time you wake up till the time you fall asleep, a creature of your worst nightmares/fears (please describe your assailant) hunts you. However it freezes in space when you fall asleep and knowing this, you know you’re safe when asleep, but in danger while awake. The creature always knows where you are and is as fast as you are currently moving, but keeps a minimum of a walking speed. A slow, methodical and murderous stroll. However! You can pay off the creature by SACRIFICING someone that you can get your hands on. How would you avoid it, how would it impact your day to day life. And would you make a sacrifice.

You’re on vacation at Disneyland when you are approached by a Disney cast member. They tell you that there is a new attraction that the park is offering randomly selected guests to get early access to in exchange for their feedback and you have been chosen. On this ride you are in a large chair moving through a track, Haunted Mansion style, except the only element of the ride is a man dressed in an incredibly well done Jim Carrey Grinch costume (or…who knows…could be the Grinch himself) that earnestly performs a one man/Grinch show while walking along the ride track with you.Its clear the Grinch spent a lot of time writing this but not enough time rehearsing his performance but it’s such a tragically sincere performance. At the end he says, “I told Disney I had a great ride idea. This is my last shot to get money for my wife and kids. Times are really tough, man”. You exit the ride and the cast member asks for your feedback. What do you say about the ride?

You are the world's first vampire cop (a cop who is a vampire, not a cop who tracks down vampires) in the only town you know of that accepts vampires in their society. Vampires operate according to supernatural rules as established in the original Dracula (mostly, see later). For your first case you're tasked with arresting the Grinch, who is alleged to have murdered a kindly family in Whoville in a fit of cheer-inspired rage. The Grinch is holed up in his cave and won't come up, but a judge has properly signed an arrest warrant stating that you can enter his cave to enact the arrest. Before you go in, you realize you don't know if the warrant counts as an "invitation" allowing you to enter. If it doesn't and you enter anyway, you'll disintegrate. But if you don't arrest the Grinch, you'll be kicked off the force and run out of town as a pariah with nowhere to go. What do you do?

You are recently engaged. You're fiance, The Grinch, is taking you to meet his family for the first time. After meeting his mom's, Clarnella and Rose Who, you can immediately tell that they DO NOT like you. All day they had made snide remarks and back handed compliments. A close family friend named Jon has asked you to watch their cat for the week. You know he’s well off and assume he’s going on vacation, he intends to pay you very handsomely (I don’t know how much you guys make, so just add a zero to whatever number you think is handsome) he tells you the cat has a bit of a weird eating regiment, really only enjoying Italian cuisine and lots of it. They says he needs about 4.5 lasagnas a day, he’s also prone to snacking, and making sandwiches of “comical” proportions. He also warns you he may be smarmy with other cats and will kick dogs off tables if prompted. He says everyone else has declined and needs you to watch this fat orange tabi. Would you accept?

It is high school and, what's that? We have a substitute teacher today. The classroom rumbles with anticipation when all of a sudden the door opens and your sub walks in. A green palette. A sour attitude. A small animal sidekick. That's right folks: this sub appears to be wearing a hyper detailed Shrek suit (or, perhaps, is Shrek himself) He reeks of booze and begins his lecture. Travis, the class bully, throws a ball of paper at the sub when his back is turned to write on the board. The sub (again, possibly Shrek himself) stops, remains silent for a moment, and then begins to weep. He cries about the lack of respect, how his marriage is failing, and how there are too many people in his swamp. How do you comfort him?

You've done it. You've worked hard all your life and are being awarded the highest honor possible for your education. A super-doctorate in the subject of your choosing. As you approach the stage on graduation day, your whole group of family and friends are there to celebrate you, and they make an announcement. The old dean of your school has been deposed and replaced with the vice dean, the Grinch. Photographers are waiting to take a picture of you shaking hands with the Grinch as he hands you your super-doctorate diploma. You will not receive the diploma if you don't shake the Grinch's hands, and you will have to pay back the expensive scholarship you earned to get your super-doctorate. What do you do?

She is touring the house when you come to a door at the back of the house. You go to open the door but it is locked. Your real estate agent says, “Oh that’s where John Leguizamo lives”. She says he is included with the house, no exceptions. You will not notice except when he is laughing watching youtube shorts. Do you buy the house?

A notebook falls from the sky infront if you. It’s black with the green letters reading “grinch note” On the inside cover there are instructions reading “ whoever’s name is written in the grinch note will Grinch” There are no further explanation of what “Grinch” means as a verb, but if you try to dispose of the grinch note it always shows back up to you, when you attempt to leave it even at home it somehow shows up wherever you go, it is always nearby you . Do you write someone’s name in it to find out? Or just continue to ignore it as it seems to follow you

Shadows Within

For the rest of your life, you either have to fight an Orangutan wielding a sword once every year (you get to know the date) OR you have to fight a chicken every time you get in your car. The chicken will be waiting for you in the driver's seat.

You are driving to a cabin in the Pacific Northwest woods for a lovely weekend getaway with some friends. You stop to go pee in the woods, and you see what you must assume to be the Grinch trapped under a tree. He holds up a sign that says “save me and I’ll come hangout with you and your friends, or leave me to die”. Do you take on the guilt of letting the Grinch die, no one else will know. Or do you save the Grinch and be forced to spend the weekend with him, potentially ruining this dope ass trip?

Grinch Prompt: Imagine you're back in elementary school. Your mom and dad call you into the living room. They are holding hands and there are tears in both of their eyes. Your father is in a grinch costume. They say they know this is sudden but your father got laid off at work and had to pick up shifts being the Grinch to make ends meet. Do you accept this or do you IMMEDIATELY beg your father to find work elsewhere? You know the kids at school will make fun of you for this FOR SURE.

You find yourself in a courtroom for a minor offense like a traffic violation when the judge produces from their robes a sandwich that they consume during the proceedings. A little unusual perhaps, but at some point things take a dark turn. What sandwich, or series of sandwiches, would the judge have to consume in order for their act to be outlandish enough to end up on the news? Please bear in mind in case relevant that I suggested to my family that the judge could eat two KFC double downs and that this would NOT make the news, and I was mercilessly roasted for the rest of the evening for making this suggestion. I was told "they would absolutely be talking about this on NPR."

You wake up one morning and have the talents of a violin virtuoso. You can sight read music and play any piece perfectly without practice. To everyone else, your music is immaculate; however, your music sounds like a 4th grader learning the violin to yourself. It's horribly screechy, slow, and off-beat. Do you still pursue a professional music career? Note- you are not allowed to wear noise cancelling headphones when performing.

Ps. It starts 1000 miles from you and can’t be killed. I’d love a nice human sized roach for Jake.

You win a chance to have dinner with Michelle Obama and know she would be open to something more if it goes well enough. You go to a Michelin star sushi restaurant where they prepare the sushi in front of you, her favorite. Before you eat, you go to the bathroom. In the bathroom, from one of the stalls, the sushi chef who you have seen will be preparing your food comes out and gives you a raised eyebrow and concerned look as though he just took a massive shit. He then exits the bathroom without washing his hands. You return to Michelle and confirm that this is the chef who will be preparing your sushi. He is not wearing gloves. What do you do?

You are a former children’s entertainer, who specialized in dressing as the Grinch. You had a Jim Carrey quality suit that had people believing you might even be the Grinch himself. The problem was, you got in waaaaaay too deep, to the point it required years of therapy to stop associating yourself with the Grinch. You’ve gotten clean, found a new partner, and are moving into a new place and getting ready to start your new career. The problem is, your next door neighbor is a children’s entertainer, even worse he has his own Grinch costume. It’s the biggest piece of shit costume you’ve ever seen, and he calls himself “The Grink” You still have your old costume in your closet, and it’s calling to you like the Green Goblin mask in Spiderman. Do you put back on your old costume to show The Grink was a true Grinch looks like, knowing how hard it was for you to pull yourself out last time?

You are out playing mini golf with a small group of friends, and you make a hole in one. As you go to collect your ball, a lasso shoots out of the hole and drags you in OPPA Space Jam style. As you re-orient yourself underground, you see three doors in front of you, one with Sonic, one with Jack Skelington, and Buggs Bunny at the third. They are all fighting begging you to help them because the Grinch has invaded their worlds and you are the only one who can help them stop him, but you can only pick one door. They say there is no way for you to go back to your world safely now, and you may end up stuck forever with whoever you follow, but there is a 5% chance you could make it back at some point in the future. Who do you go with, and do you fight against the Grinch or do you fight with him?

You have the opportunity to win $50,000 every year for the rest of your life, but to do so you must get a visible Grinch tattoo (at least 3 in tall) somewhere on your body every year. Once you have committed you cannot stop at any time. Do you take the opportunity?

It is Christmas Eve. You are The Grinch. You’ve been on the straight and narrow (Loving Christmas) for 20 years now. Cindy Lou invited you to the Whoville Christmas Eve social. You are loved. You can love. Life is Good. All of a sudden, your Grinch Precognitive Abilities (GPA) activate. Linda Sou Who, your goddaughter, is about to sing the Whoville’s second favorite Christmas Song Jingle Bell Rock. She is so excited for her solo as is the rest of Whoville. The roaring applause at your goddaughter’s solo causes a comically large star to plummet from the tree destroying Whoville. You can save everyone, but you’d HAVE to ruin Christmas. No one would know your pure intentions. They will assume your heart Shrunk. Do you give up your own happiness to save Whoville and Christmas? Do you selfishly cling to new found community? Have you really changed?

You're going about your day minding your business when you stumble upon an ancient oil lamp sticking out of a trash can. When you touch it, there is a poof of smoke and two genies stand before you, clearly in the midst of some sort of argument. One is red in the face screaming about how genie rules are stupid and that mortal lives aren't really worth all that much so making them fall in love or come back from the dead isn't that big of a deal, especially when he gets to do "a monkeys paw thing." The other is much calmer, and is saying that genie rules (think all the genie rules from Aladdin) are important, but that the monkeys paw thing is boring and he would rather just give someone one wish cause mortals are too greedy. They notice you watching them arguing and the angry genie begins to start going over the genie rules, when the chill genie interrupts him and says, "Hey, I think I know you." You figure out the genie is best friends with your cousin. The angry genie, fed up with the argument and being interrupted, gives you a choice. Do you choose 3 wishes from a genie who is willing to break or bend genie rules, but he's clearly having a bad day? Or do you choose one wish with all the restrictions from a chill genie who is friends with your cousin?

You find yourself walking alone late at night when a man approaches you from behind. It’s Fred Flintstone. He points a prehistoric bird shaped like a gun at you, and asks for all your valuables. If ask him why he’s doing this, the bird only replies, “It’s a living!” If you let him get away, he hops into his car with stone wheels, and miraculously speeds away using only his feet. Do you tell anyone about this encounter?

You are offered a 100 million dollar contract by the company Midas Inc. to test out a new product, Midas Juice. By mixing the juice with the beverage of your choice, every liquid that passes your lips from there out will turn into that beverage. There is not a way to reverse this process, but Midas Inc assures you that they are working on it, and they are willing to provide all the nutritional supplements you need to accommodate the change for however long it lasts. Do you take the contract? What beverage would you choose?

You see a trolly approaching and there is a lever, the way the train is going it will hit a group of 5 DMs experts in their class, best ones you have ever played a game with. On the other track is a man who is wearing a green suit that may or may not be the grinch you cannot really tell, but he looks angrily at you. Do you let the DMs get squished or do you pull the lever and run over the grinch, who may or may not haunt you forever

It's the 4th of July, and your best friend invites you to their house for a barbeque. When you arrive they offer you a hot dog, however when they hand it to you, instead of being on a normal hot dog bun, it has been jammed through the centre of a cinnamon bun. When you look around, everyone else's hot dogs are on normal buns, and when you question your host, they simply ask if you want ketchup or mustard. Do you eat the hot dog, and if so what condiments do you put on it?

An old friend from high school runs into you in the grocery store one day. They look stressed, tired. You decide to catch up over a coffee and they tell you they have been trying to keep their small business afloat, a surf school they started with a friend from college. You mention always wanting to learn to surf and see their eyes light up, and they become so animated talking about how good their friend is at surfing and how much it would mean if you signed up, and refer your friends if you enjoy it. You agree and purchase a large lesson package. On the first day you arrive at the beach and see that Diddy Kong will be your instructor. Diddy is super energetic and enthusiastic, but not the best instructor. He apologizes and tells you his cousin Funky is the real pro, but that he needs this or he will lose his house and his family will disown him. Do you attend the lessons, or do you try to get a refund from your friend?

You are trapped on a unknown island opa Lost style where you are the only survivor. The island has animal life with a thick jungle and is quite large. After a week of trying to survive the Grinch shows up as night begins and says "aloha, Ive been watching you from a far. I have a bungalow and food but you have to come right now before "it" starts" do you go with him?

You’re playing a new game with a group of friends called “Surprise Round” as a podcast segment. The show goes on normally and without anything out of the ordinary happening and you end the recording and depart. While you’re going about the rest of your day you begin to feel odd, an uneasy feeling and you keep thinking to yourself, “I made the wrong choice.” It begins to eat at you but you don’t know why. As time goes on the feeling gets worse until one day, a man in a full grinch costume, or it could be the real Grinch (you don’t know) in decrepit rags, a 5 o’clock shadow and copious pit stains comes up to you and says to you, “You made the wrong choice (your name)”. He goes on to explain that every time you make a decision about his life he’s stuck watching the outcome of the consequences and there’s one in particular in which you made the wrong choice, but it’s up to you to figure out that choice and help the Grinch because that’s where, “Everything went wrong.” He begs and pleads with you and says that only you can help him, and if you don’t he’s doomed to an eternity of watching these scenarios play out. He can’t give you the exact answer to which one ruined his life, he says that in order for it to work, you have to discover it within yourself and fix it. Do you: A: Help the Grinch, and if so what outcome do you go back and change? B: Don’t help the grinch C: Some other Jake related third thing

You and your friends are going on a hike in the mountains. Suddenly you stumble across a small lake that does not appear on any map. You all decide to take a dip in the water as it’s a pretty hot day. Once you reemerge from the surface of the water, it suddenly hits you; you are all in a new reality. This reality is unarguably 33% better than the reality you came from. However, there is a catch! In order to stay in this reality, you have to hunt down the version of you in this reality and kill them. You have one week to do so before you reappear in your original reality. The question becomes; If you choose to stay in this reality, how do you find and kill your alternative self?

DMAN

After accidentally summoning the Grinch by picking a scab off of your knee, you are given the ability to fly, but it HAS to be one of the following TWO options: 1. You have unlimited flight time, but your max flyable height is no higher than how high you can jump from your launching surface, and your max flyable speed is no faster than a full sprint. Your max flying height resets every time you land. Or 2. You have the flight capabilities of Superman (including minor protections against wind drag, and somewhat strengthened bones to allow for somewhat rougher landings), but with the caveat that once in a 24 hour period, all of your abilities would turn off for random 20-minute chunk of sequential time. There is no warning that your powers will stop, and there is no indication when the 20 minutes are over. At the end of that 20 minute window of having no powers, the 24 hour "clock" starts again, and at some point at a random time during it, it will happen again (and so on, and so forth). For both options, the act of flying does not use any stamina. Other than that, all the information that the Grinch is willing to give you is listed above, and any attempts to get more information is met with grumbling, and mutterings of "the last 10 people didn't make this much of a thing out of it". Which do you do? DO NOT READ THIS BIT OUT LOUD UNTIL AFTER EVERYONE HAS DECIDED: My friends and I have been debating this for actual years, and as far as we can tell there is a correct answer. I won't tell you which it is, though.

You have an ordinary, 9-to-5, office job which you love. The only catch is that it's notoriously difficult to climb the career ladder. Then, luck strikes, there's an opportunity for promotion coming up, and only one of your other coworkers is eligible - it just happens to be Sebulba. The Monday morning after receiving this news, as you walk to your car, you see Sebulba coming out of your garage. When confronting him, he just acts defensive, replies in Huttese, and gets in his pod to race to work, but you do see him rubbing his legs together conspiratorially. You check your car over, but see nothing wrong with it. If you don't drive off now, you're going to be late for work. What do you do?

You are married to an incredible woman, and you are the ultimate wife guy. You both have a highly successful ttrpg podcast that you made with your best friends. You are recording a session in which you are the dm when your loving wife decides to put on a Grinch bucket hat in the middle of a tender moment between your best friend and an NPC. Do you divorce your wife immediately or do you wait until the session is over?

You are on trial after being falsely accused of a serious crime that, if found guilty, would land you in prison for 15 years. During jury selection your lawyer confidently says that they picked the best lineup possible with one exception. They point to the far end of the jury box where, lo and behold, sits The Grinch who grins mischievously at you without breaking eye contact. Your lawyer assures you that you only need a majority vote and that the rest of the jury is currently leaning in your favor. They tell you that calling for a new jury will remove The Grinch, but will be a much less favorable group overall. What do you do?

You get a notice that your driver’s license is due for renewal, and you must go in to the DMV to do it. You take a number and patiently wait your turn to be called, which takes about 45 minutes. When your number is about to be called, you look to the kiosk that just opened up and see that the DMV worker is wearing an impeccable Jim Carey grinch costume, or hell, maybe it’s the Grinch himself. The Grinch makes eye contact with you, then hits a button to call the next number, skipping you. The next person then approaches the kiosk, and begins their request as if nothing is unusual. If you approach the kiosk, the Grinch politely says “I’m sorry, but you must wait your turn” and the gives you a devilish wink. What do you do?

Its the weekend, you have no plans and are ready to enjoy some leisure time. Your best friend calls to tell you they are hosting a party at their place which you and friends are invited to! “Awesome Ill be there!” You say. “Great” your friend says, “this will be a great opportunity for you to meet my new boyfriend!” You go to the party and enjoy some appetizers. Suddenly, you hear rumbling down the street and your friend says excitedly “oh good he is here!” Trying to not seem shady you go to try and sneak a peak while they go and greet him outside. While slinking towards the window you hear “YAAAA BADABADOOoo!” A shutter goes down your spine. He looks and sounds exactly like Fred Flinstone. He is driving a vehicle made of stone which you wonder how he managed to drive here. It does not appear to be a cosplay nor does he break character. when chatting with your friend they say “so what do you think?” Knowing from the tv show the kind of father and husband Fred Flinstone is…..what would you say to your best friend?

You are planning a Naddpod live tour, and have just been told about a huge opportunity  - Matt Mercer has specifically requested to come along as a guest player and/or DM, while also promoting the tour across all of Critical Role's channels. The only catch is that in his rider he is insisting on bringing a cup of dip-spit onto the stage. Mercer has no history on screen dipping or other uses of dip spit, but if pressed about his intentions will only say "I'm not here to tread carefully".  Do you let Mercer and his Dip Spit be a centerpiece of your next tour?

You, your partner and/or your children move into the neighborhood of your dreams. The houses are reasonably priced, there's little to no crime, it's close to everywhere you would want to do business. The neighbors all seem very friendly, some even offering to help you unpack and the head of the HOA invites you all over to a Welcome Party this weekend. When you go to the party the head of the HOA introduces you to their husband who bears an unmistakable resemblance to a certain emerald figure. While out of place visually, the Grinch seems just as friendly as everyone else you've met so far and is a wonderful host. At some point during the party you get thirsty and ask for water or your preferred drink. The moment you ask everyone at the party laughs uproariously. It seems like it's in good fun, but through his fading laughs the Grinch tells you, "We keep it Grinch around here," before handing you a Christmas themed bottle of Mountain Dew. The longer you stay in the neighborhood the more you realize that anyone you see drinking is drinking Mountain Dew exclusively. If you press the issue and ask for anything else to drink the Grinch or anyone else in the neighborhood will oblige, but suddenly become very cold. They're never hostile unless previously provoked in the encounter, but you get the feeling that whatever social standing you had with these people drops to neutral at best, tolerant at worst, the moment you decided to do anything, but the Dew. Can you see yourself and your family living in this neighborhood or will you you have to flee to less dewy streets?

You are taking your niece and nephew out for a day of family fun at a local pool. As you are laying out your towels to enjoy the sun, you hear a voice behind you yelling “Cannonball!” You turn around to see a green projectile flying towards the water, sending a wave splashing over a group of small children standing next to the side of the pool. As the children begin to cry, you watch as a figure emerges from the water. As he shakes his fur dry, droplets glittering in the summer sun, you realize it is a man in an impeccable Jim Carrey Grinch costume. Or maybe it is the Grinch himself? His behavior is certainly Grinch-like. You watch as the Grinch returns to the diving board again and again, always aiming to splash nearby children. Many children are crying, but some seem to be enjoying it, and splash him back, to the Grinch’s annoyance. Eventually, the Grinch sees you watching him, as you are reapplying your sunscreen. He sees that you are struggling to apply it to your back, and he comes up to you and offers to get your back for you. Do you allow the Grinch to apply sunscreen to your back? Bonus question: Do you return the favor?

You’ve been given the gift of free first class travel to anywhere, whenever you want. The only catch is your first trip must be to outer space. It is exceptionally safe aside from one aspect: there is an 88% chance you will turn into an Alf. Weird little furry body, propensity for eating cats, shitty sense of humor, et al. The scientists insist the change, should it happen, may be temporary and only last up to a couple years max. Do you take the deal?

You go to buy a pair of sneakers and the saleperson says “I have just the pair for you.” They bring out red running shoes and offer them to you at a steep discount. When you put them on, you are incredibly fast, and feel like you could run forever. However, when you take them off you also have a craving for chili dogs and a gnawing sensation in the pit of your stomach urging that you’ve gotta go fast. The longer you are out of the sneakers the more intense the hunger for speed grows, and you find yourself wearing more and more golden rings and calling people eggheads. You could be the fastest person on the planet, but at what cost. Do you keep them?

You are in a salon at the reception desk waiting for your hair appointment. Nothing crazy, just a little trim. Before you are seated you are given a consent form stating that you are transferring ownership of your excess hair to the salon. If you ask any questions, they simply state "this is just how salons work." They lead you to the washing bowl, and you notice the shampoo they are using smells unusually savory. As you are getting your hair cut, you notice someone sweeping up all the clients hair into what looks like a punch bowl. Midway through the haircut, your stylist excuses themself for a moment as they are feeling peckish. When they return, you notice they are holding a little cup with a spoon. When they set it on the counter, you realize its full of tiny shavings of hair. If you ask about it, they simply say they wash the hair shavings again in the back, so it's okay. You look around and notice all of the stylists, including some of the clients all have these little cups. Your stylist offers you one and says it is full of keratin and good for your hair and nails. They also mention that your hair is really dry and could use some help. If you try to say no, she will say that if you don't eat any your are breaching the bylines of your contract and your haircut will be terminated halfway through. Do you agree to munch down on some follicles to get your keratin levels up to speed or do you leave with your haircut unfinished?

You're invited to an all-inclusive timeshare yacht vacation, you've checked it out and the only catch seems to be listening to a two-hour presentation. After that presentation is finished, you are free to continue with your vacation aboard the very lavish accommodations. You are free to schedule this presentation at any time during your 5-day stay. You arrive at the yacht and find nothing amiss, you enjoy yourself for the first day. On the second, you begin to wonder. The presentations seem to be done in batches every morning, for those that signed up for the timeslot. You decided to put it off until later in the vacation. Tomorrow, in fact. But upon your leisurely stroll that morning, you witnessed something that was irksome. The room where the presentation is given was filling up, just past the time to begin. But you saw a person approach, you assume a human, garbed in a strange costume. Green felt of poor quality, with certain frays in the material, and over that some sort of red robe with a large black belt. You realize what costume it is immediately, that of the Grinch dressed as Santa Claus. You're struck by how unprofessional it looks, dirty and worn, poorly fitting. It gives you cause to wait and watch a moment. The grinch claus enters the presentation room and you hear the door lock behind them. Everything is silent. You set a timer and retire for two hours to shuffleboard, to return when the meeting is supposed to be done. The doors unlock at that time, and slowly vacationers filter out. The sight of them disturbs you. Some of them are crying. A few are soaking wet as if buckets of water were dumped on their heads. All of them seem defeated, shocked, but relieved to be done with the ordeal. When you ask any one of them what happened, they simply shake their heads and refuse to answer any further than, "Man, that Grinch is a funny guy" with a somber tone. Do you stay for your turn in the presentation tomorrow or do you seek to escape the terms of your agreement in some way?

You are visited by the most attractive person you've ever seen. They can see into the future and tell you your only chance at happiness is building a relationship with them as life partners but they are asexual and all forms of physical intimacy are off the table forever. If you decline you'll be slangin' dong for the rest of your days, but you'll also experience constant heartbreak and loneliness forever. So, do you choose a fulfilling yet sexless marriage or a life filled with sexual adventures and encounters devoid of any emotional connection at all?

Grinchless Prompt: You're playing smash bros  and you're hit with a NEW CHALLENGER APPORACHING! screen after playing a game against a CPU. you're confused cause you dont think you met and requirement to unlock anyone. You go to the character select screen but something seems off. You expected a lovable gaming icon, maybe even a stupid joke your friend modded onto your switch like the Grinch or Gex. But it looked...realistic. humanoid. You quickly reboot the game and see a new character on the select screen. one of your fellow podcastees. whoever it is, you click select to play as them to test them out on the battlefield but find they're pretty weak and can't really do anything that special. It's then you notice the random CPU you chose to fight against is none other than Sonic The Hedgehog, who proceeds to speedily kick your ass. All 3 of your stock run out and the character is removed from the select screen. Your co-host disappears the following afternoon. Do you have the guts to say that Sonic the hedgehog beat him in smash and caused him to disappear when there's no proof or do you think something unrelated happened to them and that you bringing this up would only make you look like a fool if they showed up somewhere else or never showed up again.

You are sitting alone in your living room watching reruns of Frasier, eating some of your favorite dessert. Your dog/cat/friendly snake are resting their head on your lap--life is very good in this moment. There's a knock at the door. It's a little late for that -- think like 8:30pm, so not quite bed-time, but you were starting to think about it -- certainly unusual for you to be receiving a guest. Begrudgingly you get up and go to the door. When you open it, you see a man, disheveled and out of breath. He seems to have been in an accident or fight or something as his clothes are torn and dirty and there's a fair amount of blood on them. He has a wild, desperate look in his eyes. Before you can ask him what happened, he cuts you off and desperately asks you to let him inside so he can use your phone to call for help as something awful has happened. Just then, someone else comes running up to to your house, and stops about 10 feet behind the man. They shout for you to stop! They say: "Don't let them in! They are Nosferatu! A blood-sucker! Vampire!" This obviously catches your attention, but what draws your eye more is that the person is dressed in an immaculate Jim Carrey style Grinch costume that is so accurate it looks as if there's a good chance he might just be the Grinch himself. Also, he is wearing Wesley Snipes' Blade style sunglasses, a long black leather trench coat, is wielding some kind of sawed-off shotgun, and has a bandolier of what appears to be stakes across his chest. He shouts: "Get down! I need a clear shot!" and raises his weapon. After you hear this individual's plea, you do notice that the first man's clothes do seem to have a lot of blood on them, but you can't see any visible scratches or bruises. Furthermore, the man does seem to be a bit pale. Then again, the other guy might just be the actual Grinch? Who do you believe? This man who may or may not be a vampire, or someone who may or may not be the Grinch? Do you let him inside? Or let him potentially be killed by the Grinch himself? What do you do?

You are a scientist working in a laboratory developing new technologies. While at work you get an amazing idea for an invention in a completely unrelated area than your company does work. They have no practical application for your new invention, so you begin working on it in your free time at home. After multiple years of hard work, you finish your invention, patent it, and release it to the general public. It is a massive success and although you do not make a lot of money from it, you do gain fame in the general public the likes of which have not been seen for inventors since Thomas Eddison and Nikola Tesla. One day you get called into a meeting at your work and they say they have evidence that you worked on your invention at your lunch break using company machinery. They demand that they be given full control of the patent. You want to fight this and take the matter to the courts, but mysteriously, every attorney you contact says they have a conflict of interest. They all give you a referral to the same attorney who lives far on the outskirts of your city. You have no phone number, just a physical address. When you show up to their office, it is empty with a sign “Gone Grinching.” Just as you are about to leave, a man in an impeccable Jim Carrey grinch costume, or hell maybe the real grinch himself, comes running up to you and says that your company is after him too and that he can help you. He seems to have detailed knowledge of the inner workings of your employer and already knows about their attempt to take your patent. At the end of the meeting stands up and says, “if you want to grinch fast, grinch alone. If you want to grinch far, grinch together” with a big smile on his face. He asks you to sign over your patent to him so that your employer can’t try to take it. Do you sign away your patent to the grinch?

Your wife is going into labor and you are on your way to the hospital. Your wife is having a hard time and is insisting you hurry. She begins to hyperventilate and appears to pass out. You are going what you believe is 20 miles over the speed limit at night on a rural New York road. Suddenly you see blue lights flashing, you are being pulled over. After pulling over, you see the officer's flashlight bobbing toward your vehicle and you try to calm yourself and assist your wife as you prepare to explain yourself to the patrolman, hoping he can help. Then he's there: Sonic the Hedgehog in full police uniform. "Do you have any idea how fast you were going?" You begin to stutter out an answer when Sonic interrupts you having noticed the situation. "You're too slow. You'll need to send her with me. I can get her there at the speed of sound." Your wife has a debilitating phobia of Sonic the Hedgehog. If she were to wake up, she may have a visceral negative reaction, but she does need to get to the hospital as soon as possible. What do you do?

You are part of a highly competitive amateur softball league. Your team has comical nicknames for all players, coordinated matching t-shirts, the whole nine yards. Your team has made it to the league finals, and you are the last up to bat. Bases are loaded, tied at the bottom of the ninth. As you’re winding up for the pitch, the umpire behind you whispers “If you hit that ball, it sets off a chain reaction where you break your leg in six weeks. I know this for sure and I’m not joking.” However, your teammates are watching you closely as you’re at bat, and you know they’ll chew you out at the craft brewery after the game if you don't hit. Do you swing?

You are about to go to bed at night when just outside your bedroom door you hear someone whisper yelling “Hey!” from inside the bathroom. Curious and a little frightened, you go inside the bathroom to see what it is. You continue to hear the voice calling out to you and it seems like the sound is coming from the medicine cabinet. You open it up and see a tiny version of The Grinch is dancing inside your medicine cabinet and holding a medicine bottle over his head. He tells you that the bottle he is holding contains 10 magic pills that when you take one will make you five years younger, but six inches shorter. Do you take the pills from the dancing Grinch, and how many do you actually consume?

Your ex shows up with a beautiful redheaded woman to your friends party. You are over them and in a healthy relationship. Upon getting to know the new gf, you become suspicious that she is Kim possible. She introduces herself as Kim, and seems extremely fit, more so than most people. She wears a black turtleneck and you frequently hear beeps followed by her saying "I need to go to the bathroom." She returns five to ten minutes later each time wiping away sweat. You aren't sure ir they are a fan or the real kim come to life. No one else seems to notice or they just humor you. You decide to follow her as she sneaks out and discover her meeting a hairy green man in a red suit who you think might be the grinch. You cant determine the nature of their relationship from this meeting. Your partner asks where you've been when you return to the party, as Kim sneaks gracefully back in. What do you do?

You get a call from your bank stating you have been randomly given $100,000, but they say it was a mistake and you can’t keep it all. You can either give all of it to a random person that you don’t know or split it 50/50 with someone you absolutely despise, what do you do?

Dear Council of Startled Scholars I ask of you a question this day. Lets say your significant other wants to go to some live event you've never heard of, everytime they explain it they give a vague answer and there's nothing about it online. Not knowing what the show is about you still buy tickets. When you get there the theater fills up quickly except for 2 front row seats. Your partner sits in one and the other looks to be the only seat left open in the whole theater, but written on the back of the seat are the words "Splash Zone" your seat is clearly the only one marked off being in the "Splash Zone". Nobody will switch with you or even acknowledge that your seat says splash zone, would you sit in the splash zone or would you leave. Also the Grinch is there he’s not involved its just a coincidence he also came for the show. Ps. You know who would be great to have on 8-bit book club, Jake or someone Jake adjacent.

You're walking home at night down a deserted street, when a shadowy figure in a dirty trenchcoat comes out of an alley just ahead and begins walking towards you. As you get closer, you realize that it's The Grinch, although he looks like he's seen better days. He stops in front of you and asks if you have any spare change. Suddenly, a shimmering portal, crackling with energy, appears in the air next to you and another Grinch steps out, though this one looks much older. He has grey hairs mixed in with the green, only one eye and a cybernetic arm. He immediately pulls out a shotgun and shoots the first Grinch dead, before looking around and saying "we got lucky, we need to leave now before more of them arrive." He extends his hand to you and motions to the portal, saying "Come with me if you want to save Christmas." Do you go with him?

Would you rather live full time in a hobbit house where everything is approx. 6 inches too short for you to be comfortable (but not too short that it poses a constant danger of hitting your head), or have your best and only friend be a crow (but the crow is allowed to have other friends and - very pointedly - you are not the crow’s best friend)?

You and your partner have just bought your dream home, in the perfect location. The first few weeks in the home are idealic as you and you partner enjoy the new place. However, as the weather gets colder, you start hearing strange noises from the attic. It somehow sounds... grinchly? You hire an exterminator to have a look around. He is only in the attic a few seconds before scrambling down with a shocked look. "Well" he says, " it appears a man in an impeccable Jim Carry grinch costume, or hell maybe even The Grinch himself is living in your attic". The exterminator promises to solve your problem and proceeds to place a man sized rat trap in the attic (with a Christmas present where the cheese goes). Sure enough, that night you hear a loud snap, followed by a muffled yell and a brief struggle. The exterminator arrives the next day to pick up The Grinch, but after baging up the body he yells "Dang! This grinch had a litter of 3 grinchlets". You rush to the attic and sure enough three small green humanoid beings are huddled in the corner of the attic with confused expressions. Before you can check if the adult grinch is real or a costume the exterminator bags them up and just keeps saying "it's better if you don't know". Do you ask the exterminator to set more traps for the grinchlets? The grinchlets will surely return and ruin your Christmas x 3 if they're allowed to grow up.

You're at a live show, about an hour before the doors open. You're in the green room with all your rider related things, a well done steak, oreo cookies, you name it, you have it. The rest of the members of the podcast are out doing things to prepare for the live show, while you're by yourself in the green room. Suddenly the door bursts open, and in comes a harried looking assistant. They tell you, "There's no time to explain, the yeerks are coming!" and tells you that you need to touch a floating cube to take on their animorph powers and save their race from the alien Yeerks. To prove it, they touch the finch in the green room and turn into a finch ala animorphs style right in front of you. Do you take on the responsibility, knowing that you are leaving your podcast hosts to run the show without you? Or do you let this assistant's alien race die? Additional notes: You don't know if your adventure will be concluded in time for the live show to start. When you ask anyone else at the show if they knew this assistant, they look confused and say they don't know that assistant. There is no footage of the assistant entering your room. Additional additional proposal: When proving to you that the assistant CAN morph, you see their body start to elongate and grow with green fur. They've turned into the Grinch, and say "You can too."

You are getting ready to move, and have been touring various apartments in the area in order to make a decision. There's one apartment well within your price range that is also in a nice location (close to work/family/whatever else you may be looking for), and is honestly your number one pick of the choices you've looked at. However, during your tour of the property, you noticed a figure in the window of the apartment across from the one you were looking at. You realized it was an incredibly gaunt, sickly looking 6 foot tall Cat in the Hat (height not including the hat). The guide notices you looking at it, and says "Oh! That's just Zoots the Cat! He'll be your neighbor if you move in here, which is honestly another bonus. Everyone loves him." While you were certain it was a statue, the way the guide talks makes you feel like maybe your impression was wrong. Sure enough, when you look that way again later, Zoots is gone. You're hesitant to ask too many questions about Zoots to the guide, but you also don't find any mentions of him in reviews on the apartment complex. Do you move in to the apartment?

You and your significant other have won a vacation at the romantic destination of your dreams. The prize includes all of your meals, drinks, and activities, as well as a large suite at the resort. The vacation is a week long and you don't have to pay for anything. You and your partner are picked up from your home in a private limo and go through airport security without a hitch. You board the plane early and get settled in your seats. Just before the cabin door is about to close to boarding, you hear a light commotion and see a flash of blue as Sonic the Hedgehog and Sally Acorn take the two seats in front of you. There's some grumbling as they boarded so late, but the two sit quietly and politely for the duration of the flight and you soon forget they were there. As you're waiting for your limo to the hotel, Sonic and Sally roll their bags up near you and make polite small talk. The two are also going on a romantic getaway and are very excited about some of the resort offerings. You learn you'll be staying at the same resort, and when the limo pulls up the driver indicates they are taking both couples to the hotel. Upon arrival, it becomes clear to you that you and your significant other will be sharing a suite with Sonic and Sally. The suite is very large- with a kitchen, living room, two full bathrooms, and two bedrooms. There's even a private pool and hot tub connected to the suite. This is by far the nicest hotel room you've ever stayed in. Sonic and Sally are accepting of the shared suite and head to the room. You confirm with the front desk that there are no other accommodations available for you. What do you do?

On your 38th birthday you receive a mysterious package on your doorstep. The return address is from a distant relative that you haven’t spoken to in many years. Assuming it’s a birthday present, you open the package, and inside you find a hand written note and one of the Chaos Emeralds of Sonic the Hedgehog lore. The note is scrawled in messy, hurried handwriting and it reads: “keep it safe, don’t let him get them all.” Finding this strange, you close the door but moments later, Sonic shows up pounding wildly. He’s frantic and asking for the Emerald. He tells you your relative told him that they sent it to you for safe keeping. Sonic warns that it cannot fall into the hands of Dr. Ivo Robotnic, and offers to take it from you because he can keep it safe. Do you give it to Sonic, or is he the one your relative was warning you about?

Uh oh, you're being sued! Sega has decided that NADDPOD's portrayal of Sonic is "kind of mean" and they're trying to drain you for millions. They have a corporate lawyer with a good track record BUT the facts are on your side. You are provided two options for a lawyer. The first: a man who looks exactly like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (it is not The Rock himself), he has all the charm of The Rock, but his suit is four sizes too large. His sleeves hang over his hands and his pant legs trail on the ground, but when you ask him why it looks like that, he gets aggressively defensive and says, "This is how my suits fit." Your second option: a man in a hyper-realistic Grinch costume. Hell, it might even be the Grinch himself. He acts exactly like the Grinch, and when you ask him if he is the Grinch, he just laughs and says, "Great question." Both lawyers are equally informed of the case and are both confident they will win. The jury does not know who The Rock or the Grinch are, though you see one jury member is wearing a "I Hate Christmas" t-shirt. Who are you choosing as your lawyer? And remember: the facts are on your side.

Say you were studying the migration patterns of a small group of Galapagos Island sea turtles and how they are affected by the yellow breasted cream bird mating season habits. While 3 weeks into this study, you come across an interesting piece of information, the yellow breasted cream birds are circling around a group of turtles disguised as the Grinch. Which group would you help?

It’s the opening night of your brand new show called, “Birdlesque” I burlesque show that’s performed entirely by birds in front of a live audience. You’re seated with your friends and family in the front row excited to see the outcome of months, if not years of dreams and hard work. The curtain opens and the music begins to play when all of a sudden the lead bird, a chatty parrot who’s supposed to fly out and land on a perch and recite some opening lines to kick off the show misses his queue. Without a second to react, a man in a full grinch costume, or perhaps…no, the actual grinch himself? Falls with a loud Jim Carey-esque yell falls from the top of the stage flapping his arms and lands on top of the perch crushing it, causing him to lose his balance and land on his back. He pops up and you see the Grinch is in a full parrot costume and addresses the audience, “Ladies and Gentlemen of Whoville, tonight’s special show will be brought to you by yours truly.” Before he glances at you and winks. The audience absolutely erupts in cheer, they absolutely love the show. If left to his own devices the Grinch will perform the entirety of the Birdlesque show on his own as if he’d been practicing for months. If the Grinch completes the show, based on the audiences reaction you assume they will absolutely love it. Do you allow the Grinch to play out the show and if not what do you do?

You’re at the movie theater watching the Phantom Menace. You’ve brought a friend who has never seen a Star Wars movie before and is really excited to experience it for the first time on the big screen. The theater is empty except for the row in front of you. The Grinch or possibly just a man in a Jim Carrey grinch costume, has brought his human girlfriend and children to the theater. He has absolutely no theater etiquette, loudly talking over the film, spilling popcorn, and will scream any time Jar Jar Binks is on screen. You might politely suggest he calm down, but he very aggressively tells you to mind your own business he’s trying to enjoy a night out with his girlfriend and her kids. What do you do?

One morning while taking a shit you suddenly have a vision. You see a gigantic alien fleet and what appears to be the alien overlord speaks to you. The aliens are bored and want some entertainment. You have two days afterwards every person in the world will have a vision telling them that if they don’t kill you in the next three days the aliens will destroy earth. Everyone gets your name and vision of what you look like now. The aliens tell you that the real challenge is for you to be alive five days from now otherwise everyone will die. If you tell anyone this your head will explode so the challenge is failed automatically. They have chosen you cause you are the most average person alive. You snap out of your vision, look at your arm and see a countdown 119:59:59. What do you do? I ended up talking about this scenario on the first date with my now boyfriend and we discussed it in length, so it is proven to be an effective flirting approach.

You and your friends are at a music festival. The line-up is fantastic, some of your all time favorites are taking the stage, and at the end of each set the artist teases that at the end of the night a special guest is going to perform. Everyone is going crazy trying to figure out who this person is. Your friends argue that it's going to be this person or the other, some people in the crowd swear it's going to be a joke performer, others swear it's going to be an A-List singer. It gets to be that time if the night, the last artist you know will perform is performing with the biggest crowd all day gathered to watch. At the end of the set, the artist (lets say it's The Killers) announce that they have a very special last guest that they know the crowd has been anticipating greatly. Out comes the one, the only, the Grinch. The crowd LOOSES their minds, so much so that it is as if the real Grinch was on stage. But wait? Can it be? No, that's impossible, the grinch is a fictional character. But when the Grinch takes the guitar and the mic and starts singing, everyone in the crowd knows every word of his beautiful, tearful, ballads. Voice of an angel. Your friends are all singing along, tears in their eyes, and if you ask them about it they will get really defensive and pompous like "what the hell do you mean you don't know the grinch? they made a documentary about his life?? we watch it every christmas?!" The grinches last song of the night is "Welcome Christmas", aka Dahoo Dores. Are you singing along ?

You meet an old god in the woods. Tall and mossy with horns. It speaks in your mind, seems kindly, and wants to learn more about the modern world. More specifically the stories of the modern world. Film and television fascinate the god, these are storytelling mediums that are new to it. You eventually show the god various television shows. The god uses these shows as a way to learn about the world and our storytellers, the actual story and characters dont really stick with it. Until you get to the early 2000 cgi show "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius". the god becomes obsessed and watches the film and its tv show over and over again. You leave the god to itself to watch the show. After a few days you return to see the god has moved onto watch something else, but its appearance has forever changed to have the huge forehead and hair swoop of Jimmy Neutron. Its mental voice and speaking manner is forever reminiscent of jimmy now, and it refers to you as either Sheen, Carl, or Goddard. Nothing else has or will ever affect the god as much as Jimmy Neutron. Do you abandon this god?

You've been raised an orphan. Never knew your parents. Bullied tremendously when you were in the orphanage by the other students due to your unnatural size. You're one day visiting another city. In this new city, you catch a glimpse of a woman. You have a run in with her and she runs away. It is soon revealed that this woman is your missing mother. Before you have a chance to reconnect with her, she is murdered by a famous, very popular man involved in city government. You eventually track him down and defeat him in single combat. Looking down on him, he offers to suck your d*ck so that you don't kill him. What do you do?

You're at the wedding of a very close friend that you have known since childhood, but you have never met their fiance. As the wedding begins, you see your friend's fiance is walking down the aisle in a full Jim Carrey Grinch costume or possibly your friends fiance is the actual grinch. Your friend has never mentioned that their fiance is the grinch though, and looks a little bit horrified as the grinch walks down the aisle. Everyone else seems to think this is totally normal, but your friend is clearly growing more and more distressed. Is it nerves or the grinch costume? You can't tell. Do you object to the wedding or say anything?

You’re at a wedding sitting through the best man speech and you not only hear a huge fart smack dab in the middle of the speech, but you also pinpoint the perpetrator immediately: a man who starts smiling upon release who is quickly chastised and smacked on the arm by his girlfriend. You’re not a lip reader and can’t 100% confirm that they’re arguing about his alleged fart, but you’re QUITE sure. Nobody else seems to have noticed the fart. Do you spend the evening telling everyone about this hilariously timed fart and pointing out the stranger that you KNOW (think) did it? Or do you keep it to yourself? Is a wedding too sacred of a day to make about fart-based humor? What doo you doo? PS this did happen to me this weekend and I did have quite a few drinks and go about telling everyone about the fart and pointing out the farter, but I’m having my regrets.

You are adventuring in a remote location when you come across a mysterious bartender tending what seems to be a makeshift tiki bar. They greet you and explain that they serve 1 drink, called "The Mean Green Traveling Machine". They explain this drink will give you the capacity to teleport (with your clothes/all personal items, including a purse or backpack but not bigger items like a suitcase) anywhere within 1000 miles of your current location. You may take 1 person with you if you are holding hands, but no more than 1. The tradeoff for this power is that anytime you are in the sunlight, in the place of getting a sunburn, you begin to grow green fuzz a la The Grinch. Similar to a sunburn, this makes your skin feel sensitive and in pain for a few days before disgustingly shedding off of you. The green hair you grow/shed in the face of sun exposure is not lessened by sunblock, and would genetically be identifiable as your own hair. The CDC and other public health organizations would almost certainly attempt to capture and study you were they to see this happen or find evidence of it, so you may have to face being on the run/becoming a legendary cryptid. Do you drink The Mean Green Traveling Machine?

You are hosting a summer party for a large group of people. On the invitation you specifically mention that there will be a watermelon eating contest with a cash prize for the winner. Several of your coworkers have expressed excitement for the competition, and it’s been the talk of the office for weeks. However, when you go to buy the melons you find that every single one of them is covered with a thick layer of mossy green hair. The hair appears to be growing out of the watermelon rind, is slightly damp to the touch, but has no odor. You ask an employee what the deal is with these melons and they respond, “oh yeah, it’s like promoting the Grinch or something, I don’t know”. You are assured that the inside is a completely normal watermelon, but that they’re slightly harder to cut through, quote, “because of all the grinch hair”. As far as you know, there are no upcoming Grinch movies, and it’s currently the middle of summer. You go to several more grocery stores but find the same thing at each. Do you purchase the Hairy Grinch Melons, or disappoint your party guests by canceling the big watermelon eating contest?

Just as you're getting ready for an anniversary dinner at your favourite restaurant, a Genie with a problematic obsession with devil's bargains appears before you with a once-in-a-lifetime offer. For the rest of your life, you and up to 3 lucky guests can dine, for free, at any restaurant in the world, drinks included: the Genie will always pick up the tab. However, from now onwards, *you* can only ever dine at any restaurant once: if you ever try to double dip and go back to a restaurant, everything you eat or drink there will turn to ash in your mouth, and the Genie will refuse to pay for it. Do you accept the Genie's offer? PS: chain restaurants count as the same restaurant for the Genie's twisted purposes, and ordering takeaway counts as "dining" at the restaurant you ordered from.

There is a runaway trolley barreling down the railway tracks. Ahead, on the tracks, there is a stranger tied up and unable to move. The trolley is headed straight for them. You are standing some distance off in the train yard, next to a lever. If you pull this lever, the trolley will switch to a different set of tracks. However, you notice that there is another person you know in real life tied up on the sidetrack. Before you can process this ethical dilemma, someone who is dressed exactly like Jim Carey’s The Grinch appears on the sidetrack. They proceed to lean down and whisper something to the person you know. It looks like they are talking…about you? And giggling or something? You can’t be certain, but it seems they know each other and maybe are just playing an elaborate prank on you. The Grinch then proceeds to also lay down on the sidetrack and yell out “If you let me live, I will kill you for real” Do you: A. Do nothing, and let the trolley continue on the main track towards a random person or B. Pull the level, diverting the trolley onto the person you know and The Grinch.

Good morning to everyone except Jart, the bailiff. My hypothetical is as follows. You are playing a pickup basketball game in New York City, when suddenly Adam Sandler walks into the court in his traditional baggy ensemble. He has waves of purple energy coming off of him and you find yourself suddenly unconscious. When you wake up, you are in a Crystal Cavern surrounded by potions, arcane technology, and of course, Adam Sandler. In the Waterboy voice, Adam reveals to you he is a full blown werewolf, and his time to hunt is near. He says that he will make you his prey, but you have the choice in what prey you become. Adam is going to turn you into a Were-hybrid with a prey animal of your choice and then chase you across New York City during the full moon. You must either escape Adam during his hunt, or kill Werewolf Sandler for your freedom. The rules are such. You’re hybrid animal must be a mammal, no larger than a deer, and cannot be a carnivore only. What animal do you choose to hybridize with, and do you fight or flee Adam.

You’ve just flown into a tiny town. It’s very late, pouring rain, and you don’t know anyone there. Your accommodations are 2 miles away down a very fast road, so you could walk on it but it’d be dangerous. There are no taxis. You call for an Uber, and see it’s the only ride-share car in the area. When you get in the car you see that the driver is so clearly 16 years old, and there’s a grown woman in the front passenger. The teen says, “don’t worry, my mom’s here!” and shows you their learners permit. The mom is reading a book and not paying attention other than to refuse to drive. The teen and mom will not let you drive their car. Do you get into the car?

You are on a long flight with your significant other on a well-deserved vacation to the Bahamas. You look out the window to see the Grinch, standing on the plane's wing, opa William Shatner in the Twilight Zone style. However, unlike the creature from the Twilight Zone, the Grinch is not tearing up the wing. Instead, he just stands there, hands on his hips, looking rather curmudgeonly at the lack of impressive clouds. He seems to be in no danger of being blown off the wing, either. When he sees you notice him, he holds up a whiteboard that, in blue dry-erase marker reads, "Don't worry about me, I'm just Grinchin' around until we get to the Bahamas (then all bets are off)." He doesn't seem malicious at all, just annoyed. When you alert your partner to the Grinch's presence, they look out on the wing and see nothing. You aren't sure if you're hallucinating, if he got blown off the wing, or if he just found a great hiding spot. Do you alert any of the plane's staff to the Grinch's hopefully non-malicous presence or just ride this out until you reach the Bahamas to see what happens?

You are remodeling your home (which you own) after penny pinching for 10 years. You've meticulously designed and procured the materials you need to make the home of your dreams, having placed a significant amount of money down to do so. You've shopped around for a good contractor to install everything and despite your best efforts you've only found 2 companies in your price range: 1. Grinch Industries. The foreman on this job is Jim Carrey's Grinch or someone in an impeccable Grinch costume. Their work is good but their vibes are suspicious (muttering audibly about how your Christmases are probably great because you can afford this place and this renovation) and you feel like you're now a target for future Christmas shenanigans forever. 2. Flintstones Development Incorporated. This group has various animals in that will have good puns lined up but your main point of contact is Fred Flinstone who simply won't shut up about his home life and how Wilma and Barney seem to have "a thing going on". He also has your contact info and you get the feeling he may want to couch surf at your place in the future because of problems at home. Waiting for another contractor to save you isn't an option as this is the busy season and you simply cannot wait any longer or you lose the money you've invested in this project already. PS: a baby in a bjorn or a backpack counts as your 1 person and you cannot finesse your way into taking another PPS: the bartender looks like an average college student, seems nervous, and will say in a slightly embarrassed tone that they are incapable of making any other drink for you if you ask, as this is their first day on the job. while they are preparing The Mean Green Traveling Machine they seem extremely unskilled in the area of bartending and they break several bottles and glasses trying to do fancy shit before giving up and making the drink extremely slowly and carefully. by the time they are handing you the drink, you are unsure whether anything they've told you is true based on their lack of skill in this area, but they and their bar will disappear from existence upon you accepting or denying the drink (proving they have at least some magical ability)

Your close friend, relative or loved one gets into an accident and has to go to the hospital. You go to the hospital and the doctors are whispering to one another. One calm-looking doctor comes up to you and asks for you to step into a room with her and a small group of doctors. They tell you that the person who’s injured has critical injuries and you’re the only one who can save them. They tell you that they’d have to do a procedure, that’s rarely done but has a high success rate, that you have to participate in. It requires you to transfer all of your blood to the critically injured person and you’d be injected with green blood that would slowly turn you into the Grinch. You’ll loose all personality traits and memories of your current self and fully become the Grinch. They said that this is the only way they’d survive. What do you do?

You're walking down the street when an adult Virginia Possum scrambles out of an alleyway dragging a suitcase. It hides behind a nearby car. Moments later, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson walks out of the same alleyway, points at you and demands to know where the possum went. He tells you that he's after an extremely dangerous genetically modified marsupial that stole the nuclear launch button and intends to erase California from the map. If you snitch on the possum, The Rock is guaranteed to catch it, and it'll be returned to whatever facility it just escaped, you don't know what will happen to it there, but whatever it is, it's bad enough to make it wish for nuclear vengeance. The possum looks like a completely normal, smooth-brained creature, but for all you know, it COULD be a genetically modified nuclear marsupial that will destroy the West Coast, just as The Rock claims, and it's starting to chew on the suitcase lock. Will you aid The People's Champion in his pursuit? Time's running out.

You're listening to one of your favorite podcasts. It starts off mostly normal but they keep bringing up the grinch unprompted. Every episode they start to mention the grinch more and more. You are unsure it they believe the grinch is real or not. One episode they start teasing that they will have a special guest join them later that month and STRONGLY imply that it will be the grinch. When the episode airs it is clear to you that their special guest "the grinch" is one of the hosts doing a very bad grinch impression. No one else seems to notice this but you and everyone you talk to about it is extremely excited and baffled that they were able to "get the grinch." If you point it out to anyone they say "IDK I think that's just what the grinch sounds like." And seem disinterested in continuing the conversation. The "grinch" continues to be on every episode of the podcast moving forward as an additonal host, nothing else changes. Do you continue to listen to the show?

You're give three choices (Kingdom Hearts style) between three types of wallets: skinny, millennial large, and jumbo shoulder satchel. Each has a unique ability, the skinny allows to summon any amount of cash but only in raw materials (gold, platinum, silver etc) and has a limit of 3 times per calendar year. The millennial allows you to teleport anywhere in the world with $100,000 included with 20 charges per year for free (there and back) and will convert any money you take with you to currency of that place, and are granted full citizenship during your stay as long as you want, but can only have that feature once per three years. The satchel allows you to receive any item you wish (regardless of size and cost) so long as it exist in the world, with 30 charges per two years. Which do you choose and what would you do with your power?

You are getting ready to leave on an international tour with your spouse and family and will be gone approximately 6 weeks so none of your friends or trusted circle can pet sit for you. A pet sitter that comes wildly and highly recommended from those you trust arrives a few days prior to meet with you and learn the routine of your pets. You open the door to discover them in a full grinch suit and an open, unbuttoned hawaiian shirt (and nothing else). They see the look on your face and in a business monotone voice "the animals like it and yes it stays on the entire time I pet sit" and does not address the garb again, and behaves as the utmost professional during your tour. It does in fact seem to pawsitively affect the animals (Bowie, harriet and dingo all especially have seem to be transfixed by vacation grinch). You leave in just a few days which will make arranging a new sitter difficult, but that means allowing this grinch unfettered access to your home for 6 weeks. What do you do

Disaster! You were all set to host a "chill friend hang" at your modest studio apartment with a new group of friends, one of whom you've been crushing hard on. Unfortunately, a too-tall bacon burger from pub trivia last night has, at the last minute, rendered your only toilet completely unusable. This friend hang is a big deal; you've baked a peach pie, your crush's favorite. Do you: 1. Lie, say you're sick, call the whole thing off. 2. Partially come clean, tell your arriving friends that your toilet is out of order but they can use your neighbor Sasha's toilet, who has extended an open invitation to you for just such scenarios (sasha is creepily interested in you, and will remember this) 3. Fully come clean, tell your friends you clogged your toilet with a stinker, reveal your identity as the wizard of portals and ask that they kindly ignore the stench and do their business into the glowing magical window hovering just beneath your toilet seat (your enemies will know your identity and come for you, but maybe your crush will be impressed by your powers) 4. Days before the world cup you receive a call telling you that the US National team just had an injury to their third-choice goalie and they need you to fill the position. You know for a fact that this is real and whenever you ask why you're the replacement chosen you're just told "idk all of our scout reports had you as the next best option". You are assured that that chances of you ever playing are practically none and that they just need you to fill out the squad. You travel to join the team and you all make a fantastic run through the tournament, but the first-choice goalie gets injured in the semifinal. The night before the final you see the second-choice goalie being handed a wad of money from on opposing player from tomorrow's final. If you try to bring it up with the goalie, they just aggressively tell you they "don't know what you're talking about" and to drop the issue. Do you bring this up to anyone knowing that this goalie being caught means you'll now have to be starting goalkeeper in a World Cup final or do you say nothing and let the other goalie play out the game?

You’re heading to your lawyer’s office to get an important consultation for a lawsuit. The lawsuit is very, very important, and your future depends on it. As soon as you walk in, the secretary greets you as normal and tells you that your lawyer is talking to a client right now, but will be with you shortly. When it’s time to meet, you walk in and see your lawyer is a possum, oppa Paw-Paw style. He is extremely well dressed and groomed, and motions for you to sit down and go over the case with him. As you talk, you can tell he’s extremely intelligent and knows the ins and outs of your case, but has chewed some of the important documents and has to take a break 15 minutes in for “zoomies”. Do you move forward with this lawyer or do you find someone else?

You are diagnosed with a mysterious and dangerous disease and require hospitalization. The doctor comes by on rounds, and while discussing your case with you they rip a mondo butt trumpet. It smells absolutely diabolical. They then grin and say “Sorry, I’m just a lil stinker, teehee” and leave. The following day the doctor comes back on rounds and again just completely blasts ass while making eye contact with you and giggling before leaving the room. You speak with a hospital administrator and tell them the situation, then ask if you can have another doctor. They tell you, “This is the first I’m hearing of this sort of behavior from them. That doctor is the world’s leading specialist in your disease. There are other specialists we could transfer you to, but they aren’t as good as your current doctor.” Other than the prodigious flatulence your doctor has been completely competent and on top of your case. People have died from your disease. This doctor has had patients die, but at a lower rate than the next best doctor has. Do you insist on changing your doctor, knowing they’ll be pumping out beef gas every day they see you and giggling like a child afterwards, or do you weather the storm?

You are at a nice restaurant with your significant other for a black-tie dinner. The mood has been icy since on your drive to the restaurant your significant other told you that they want you to be more assertive and be less of a doormat, but you think your kindness and patience are virtues. This is not the first time this discussion has occurred. Between the soup and entree courses, a waiter you have not seen in who is dressed as the cat in the hat comes out to serve another table. The cat in the hat trips on your SO’s chair leg and spills food all over your table and both your and your SO’s clothes. From somewhere else in the restaurant you hear an angry voice shout “seriously? AGAIN?”. The waiter in the Cat in the Hat costume starts weeping uncontrollably as they attempt to clean up the massive spill, muttering that they really can’t lose this job. However, their efforts at cleaning are terrible and they only manage to spread mess around the table, knock over wine glasses and break a few more plates. Over this tableau of pitiful shame, your SO is making pointed eye contact with you, it’s clear they want you to step up and be assertive in this moment. What do you do?

I pitched this last time but I wanted to refine it a bit: You arrive home from the store one day and notice your pet (or a pet that you lived with in the past that is currently alive for this scenario) convulsing. Concerned, you turn your attention to it and witness it undergo a Sailor Moon style transformation sequence emerging as the hottest person you’ve ever seen. The newly hot pet starts flirting with you. If you have a partner, they will have witnessed the same event and send a discrete text saying “Look, I get it. Do whatever you want with them.” (Note: Emily and Murph’s scenarios take place in separate timelines.) You notice that, even in this hot person state, the pet is still convulsing a bit as if unstable. Do you flirt back? How far will you take this?

You're on a date with Sonic the Hedgehog. It's your third date and you guys have great chemistry. This is your first time going on a restaurant date, however, and so far it's going great. The waiter comes by with your orders. Your food looks great, but Sonic looks abashed. He explains with charming self depreciation that he's allergic to cilantro, and apologizes for not bringing it up earlier. The waiter is charmed by his humility and promises to fix the issue. The second time time the waiter comes, Sonic blushes. It's adorable and frankly kind of hot--that is, until he starts talking. Stuttering, Sonic explains he can only eat foods that are blue. He's even more chagrined, but this time the waiter is not charmed. He does, however, promise to fix the issue. It's been an hour and the waiter has yet to return, though you see him serving other customers. You suggest to Sonic that you should leave--possibly with a generous tip for all their trouble. Sonic reaches out to hold your hand. He looks you dead in the eyes and says "You can leave if you want, I understand. But I'm so sick of chili dogs. I need this." If you press him further, he just keeps repeating "you don't understand, I need this." What do you do?

(shorten as you see fit, if you'd like 😁) It's the holiday season and you find a very cute and fuzzy creature (ala Gremlins) on the street in need of a home. It's sweet and seems grateful to be warm in your home. You know not to feed or give it water after midnight so everything's fine! You go to bed without a worry. You're deep in sleep when suddenly you wake up, startled, to the sound of something falling. You look over at the clock-it's midnight. The clock chime must have woken you! You nestle down and are almost back asleep when a scuffling noise catches your attention. You sit up and look for your new creature thinking it wants out of your room, but notice it's not there, just some green fur left behind on its bed. Green? The last you checked it had brown fur... But must be a trick of the light. Getting out of bed and open the door to your room, leaving to get a glass of water and you stop. 'Weird,' you think. 'The door was shut when I went to sleep.' But you shake your head, ignoring the unease that's building in your gut. Water, you just need some water! You walk out of your room and stop, shocked. The Grinch is in your living room, shoving your Christmas tree up the chimney. He makes direct eye contact with you and you realize he has the same eyes are your little furry friend who you've come to love. There's regret in those eyes now, but there's also resolve. He charges at you, ready to attack. What do you do?

You need to change quickly so you accept the shirt. After you change in the store, you notice that the employee is standing in front of you, a look of dark relief on their face and a rucksack slung over their shoulder. "I'm finally free", they say. After a lot of hard work you are finally hired onto the team that NASA is assembling for the first manned mission to Mars, and you spend the next five years training for this mission. On the day of takeoff your mission commander brings you to your assembled team, except one of the vital team members is missing and has instead been replaced with the Grinch. It isn’t a man in a Grinch suit - you know this is the real Jim Carey Grinch. He isn’t wearing a real space suit but instead appears to be cosplaying at Victor from the end of the movie Despicable Me, and keeps pressing random buttons on the command deck with seemingly no idea as to what’s going on. His only response to your questions are “I am going to steal the moon”. You ask if he is a trained astronaut and your commander shrugs, saying “I guess it’s like the Big Bird thing, corporate said he has to go” and leaves. It will take 8 months of travel to make it to Mars, and once there you and your team will spend a year there attempting to make a civilization. If your crew messes up a single thing you are at risk of dying in one of the most excruciating ways possible in the dead of space. Do you still launch?

- Serious version One night after falling asleep in your bed you wake up in a white void with a deity who has come to ask for your help. They explain that the world they come from is in peril and they used divination magic to find the person most likely to succeed in saving their world. In their vision, you were wielding incredible magical abilities never before seen in a world where magic is fairly rare. The god also assures you that even if you died during the journey, they could bring you back safely to your world. However, they caution, the journey will be full of hardship, pain, loss, and a general lack of the comforts you are used to. If you accept, you will likely be gone for several years, simply MIA from your world, and if you succeed you will come back but the experience may have changed you forever. You must decide now as the deity is using an enormous amount of power to connect your two worlds. Do you accept your call to the hero's journey? - Silly version One night after the four of you fall asleep in your beds you all wake up in a white void with a formless deity. The god explains that you are not dead, and are invited to a fantasy world where they've created a campaign for you. The campaign will last several years but no time will pass in the real world. If one of you dies, you become a ghost and spectate the rest of the campaign. You get to fully customize the appearance of the person you play as. You get a range of points to spend in mental and physical attributes, and you get to select many abilities, spell, and proficiencies that you unlock as you progress the campaign. After creating your characters the god explains that there are two more important caveats before you begin. One, you will not remember anything of this conversation in the white void until after the campaign is over. You will appear in the fantasy world not knowing all of the character creation you did, not knowing where you are or what happens if you die. And two, you must take on an additional party member. At this point, The Grinch materializes out of thin air, his arms are crossed and he looks annoyed to be there. The god explains that this is his nephew and because of his young age he will get a handicap where he revives after a few minutes if he dies and he won't feel pain. You can't be sure if it's an impeccable costume but The Grinch looks exactly like Jim Carrey's portrayal of the character. If you try to talk to him now he just flips you off while not looking directly at you. The Grinch builds his character, he doesn't change his appearance, puts all his points into strength, and picks barbarian adjacent abilities. After he's done he looks extremely jacked. Do you join this campaign?

You are having a very relaxing night with your partner and a small group of friends sitting around and listening to music. While you are in control of the aux, your partner requests that you play “hallelujah” but 30 seconds into the song, one of the people there (he was brought by another of your friends) says that he knows a better cover by an artist he just discovered. As he queues up the song and it begins playing you are nearly certain that he is the one singing this cover of “hallelujah” and it is not professionally recorded audio nor does it sound good. If pressed on this, he gets extremely defensive and refuses to admit that he made the cover. Nobody else in the group, including your partner, has spoken up to agree with you at all. Throughout the song, this guy keeps quietly whispering to you, asking what you think of it and will take any answer, positive or negative, extremely personally. If you respond positively to the music, he says he has more of it, and will try to sell you a CD at an unreasonable price and become despondent if you refuse. You think this may be his only source of income. How far are you willing to push the group (and your partner) to agree with you? Will you buy his CD? Will this cause a rift between you and your partner? If certain questions are asked, here are some follow-up answers: - this is clearly not a bit or prank. The singing is earnest - you can’t tell if nobody in the group agrees with you or if they don’t want to make a big deal about it -Your partner is the grinch, but refuses to talk about their past - this is your first time meeting this guy, your friend has never brought him before but he has acted normally until this

It’s a lovely summer evening, your outside on your front lawn, enjoying the nice breeze and the setting Sun. Your kids are playing, having a truly incredible time. When suddenly, from down the road, come 30-50 feral hogs. The 30-50 feral hogs see your small children playing in the lawn, and are taken over with a bloodlust that you can only describe, as feral. You could try to quickly rush your children inside the house, but there’s no guarantee that would help, it’s 30-50 feral hogs after all. One of the things your podcast is known for is for discussing what to do in hypothetical situations. When you arrive at the studio, your friend says “hey man, just so you know, we have a special guest this week”. When you get into the studio, you see that the special guest is a man in a super convincing Grinch suit. For all you know, it could be the real Grinch, who knows. It’s your job on the pod to come up with and read the hypothetical questions. You read aloud the first question, which is a crazy hypothetical scenario involving a Grinch. After you read it out loud, the room is silent. The Grinch looks like he’s pondering something. Eventually, the Grinch says, “nah, don’t like that one. Next.” You go ahead and read your next hypothetical, which also has a silly scenario involving the Grinch, to which the Grinch stands up and says “oh, yeah, I get it, you’re a real fucking cool guy you know that?” And storms off. It is summer and you and your partner are going to your local mattress store to shop for a brand new mattress. At the door there is a life-sized mannequin of the Grinch to which the owner quickly chimes in and says "Oh, don't mind him, he's just shy". As you are shopping you notice the Grinch mannequin follow you through the store, but you also catch glimpses of the owner clearly moving the statue to each location. Your partner notices the mannequin but is more focused on shopping to question it. After 30 minutes, you and your partner find the PERFECT mattress, same-day free delivery, 50% off, brand new. The only stipulation is "All sales are handled by the Grinch" and the owner motions to the Grinch mannequin now standing at the cashier stand. When you go to pay for the mattress the Grinch mannequin speaks extremely softly so that only you can hear "Please, you have to free me, we don't have much time." When you try looking back to the owner, who is having small talk with your partner, the Grinch mannequin pleads with you "Please, I don't know who else I can trust" and slides you a ceremonial knife. Do you take the knife and free this soul trapped in the Grinch mannequin knowing it will surely ruin your chances of taking home the perfect mattress or do you force the Grinch mannequin to go through with the sale ensuring that you will have the perfect nights sleep every night 100%. Some extra information - Freeing the Grinch will cause a HUGE commotion. The owner will know IMMEDIATELY that you have done this and will not sell you the mattress - The mattress is absolutely perfect in every way. After a grueling process of searching for specialists with open appointments you finally get in with a clinic that has availability in a month, which is the best you are able to find. Fast forward to your appointment. You get checked-in and are told that you will be seen by Dr. Binks. The nurse starting the visit tells you that Dr. Binks can be “eccentric” but that he is the best on their team. A short while later someone who bears a sticking resemblance to Jar Jar Binks enters the room and says,”mesa Dr. Binks, mesa your doctor and will take great care of you.” He is overall professional and seems to be a good clinician, but does frequently slip in Jar Jar Binks phrases during the visit like “mesa listen to your heart and lungs now” and is a bit clumsy. Knowing that finding a new doctor may take months, do you finish the visit? If so, do you return to Dr. Binks as your regular provider?

You're in a room with Delores Umbridge, jarjar Binks, and someone in an impeccable Grinch costume ( it may even be the Grinch himself) you had a gun with two bullets in it, but you've already shot jarjar twice.. (meesa bleeding out). You decide you're going to try and take out Delores with your bare hands (she can't use magic) but the Grinch is making a very convincing argument about how her heart has grown 3 sizes this day. Only two people can leave the room. What do you do?

To clarify: your power is to create magical doorways, which moving beings and objects can travel through. Teleporting the stationary massive turd clogging your drain away is beyond your domain, you cannot, and SHOULD not attempt such a feat.

You find a weird old lamp and when you rub it, a genie pops out. However, the genie looks just like the Grinch. The Grinch Genie tells you that he can grant you three wishes but he only grants negative wishes. So, for example, he can't grant you infinite wealth, but he can grant your enemy infinite poverty. Do you take him up on his wishes and what would you wish for.

WOULD YOU RATHER: Have to explain the tragedy of Darth Plagueis every time you discuss business with a new person? OR Have to discuss this podcasts' obsession with the Grinch with your parents?

you are on a solo camping trip semi far away from home, and there is no cell service; this doesn’t become relevant until much later, when you are walking and hear a noise nearby. you go to check it out and see Danny DeVito’s “The Lorax” in the clearing, yes, the little orange man. he sees you, and you actually begin a conversation with him. you have a lovely chat, so lovely, in fact, that he asks to accompany you on your hike. you let him, and you spend the rest of your day with him, hiking, setting up camp, you even share a meal. at one point, you ask to take a picture with him, commemorating your great evening, and he respectfully asks you not to take one, and in fact, not tell anyone at all, as it would “ruin our time together”. he seems very disappointed at the prospect. at the end of the night, he tells you he has to go, and he grabs his ass and ascends into the sky. you mourn the loss of his company, who wouldn’t? during your evening, do you try to snap a picture / call someone / make his presence known anyway, even after his specific instructions not to? people may not believe you otherwise, but you would be betraying his trust. (thanks guys, you’re the best! my name is anna, my boyfriend and i share this account, and we love everything you do!)

You’re playing WoW classic with your partner. Another player, playing as a gnome, is following you. The gnome, who is level 60, while you are level 15, starts chatting up your partner, offering them great armor and weapons and other presents and keeps commenting “wow, you’re so beautiful” to them. You are both playing sexy nightelves, but he only addresses them. You tell your partner “let’s go somewhere else, this guy is being weird” but your partner seems genuinely flattered and accepts the gnome’s request to form a group, saying “he can really help us out, we’re not very good just the two of us”. Do you keep playing?

You’re walking around beautiful downtown San Diego on a lovely day trip with your spouse. Suddenly, Tony “The Birdman” Hawk rolls up to you on a skateboard and tells you that he is hosting a new reality television show called “Hawk’s Leaving the Nest”, pointing at a hidden camera crew nearby. You have to sign an appearance release form and liability waiver to continue, because the show takes place at his private offices vert ramp. If you do, you are blindfolded, tied up by rad teen skateboarders wearing hawk costumes, and taken somewhere. When you are unblinded, you are standing at the top of a vert ramp in front of a live studio audience. Tony Hawk announces that if you, a random pedestrian with presumably no skateboarding skills, drop into the ramp, you will win his entire skateboarding company and media empire. If you eat shit, you get a signed skateboard, $10,000, and your attempt will still be aired on TV. If you back out fully, the crowd boos, and Tony Hawk, descending from the ceiling in a full 900 degree rotation, wearing a Willy Wonka outfit, says “I thought you could be rad, but now, you’re making me sad.” Do you drop in?

You are about to go visit your family on the other side of town, leaving your partner at home so they can have a nice afternoon to themselves. You get about 10 minutes from the house and realize you forgot your phone at home. You turn around to get it, and when you walk in the front door, you shout "just me getting my phone!" But you don't hear a response. You walk into the kitchen to peer through the window overlooking your nice suburban, fenced-in yard, and you see someone clipping your hedges, dressed in an impeccable Grinch costume, to the point where you wonder if it might even be the Grinch himself. But the height and posture seem to perfectly match your partner's description, and you can even see that they haven't yet put on the shoes/feet prosthetics, and you are almost certain the feet could be your partner's feet. They completely have their back turned to you, trimming away at the scraggly hedges. You decide to send a text to your partner - "Forgot something at the house, if you hear someone come in, it's just me." A few seconds later, you see the costumed person in the yard reach into a hidden pocket and pull out the phone. As they read the text, you hear them audibly yell out "no, no, no" and they start ripping off green fur and prosthetics. What do you do?

You are on a road trip with a close friend when your car breaks down at the side of a hot desert road. You call AAA and they tell you it will be at least two to three hours before they can send a mechanic to help you. Luckily, your friend says that their “Uncle Seb is really good with cars,” and that he only lives about 15 minutes away. About 15 minutes later, “Uncle Seb” arrives and you see that he is about 3 and a half feet tall with tan leathery skin, walks on his hands, and reaches out to shake your hand with disturbingly dextrous feet. Either it’s the most advanced animatronic puppet to ever exist, or it’s the real Sebulba from Phantom Menace. If you bring up Star Wars or acknowledge the fact that he is an alien, both he and your friend get very serious looks on their faces and ask you to “please respect our family’s privacy”. Sebluba pops your hood and spends about 5 minutes tinkering with your engine, during which you THINK you see him surreptitiously remove something from his pocket and do something to your engine. When he returns, he smirks and says “There, good as new” before snickering and getting back into his truck and driving away quickly. Do you trust Sebulba to fix your car, or wait two to three more hours for another mechanic? Your friend is confident that their uncle fixed the problem, and you get the sense that they would probably be annoyed or offended if you suggested waiting for a mechanic from AAA.

You are in a crowded shopping mall and have taken a break between stores. As you sit at the food court deciding between Sbarro or a place called the Potato Corner a baby Grinch comes up and takes your hand. You can't tell if it is a real baby Grinch or a toddler in extremely convincing Grinch makeup. The baby Grinch looks hungrily at your reusable glass water bottle and begins to cry. You look around for a parent Grinch or anyone with a camera but everyone around you just tells you how cute your baby is. Do you accept responsibility for the baby Grinch and if so, what do you feed it?

Its your first day at a new job and you're really nervous because you're not the spry 37 year old you used to be. In the job interview process you remember the interviewer kept shoehorning in the word "ants" after every question. It mightve seemed odd at the time but now that you're thinking about it you wonder if it was intentional. Once you start the job you realize everyone you work with is doing it too. They dont do it with eachother just to you and when you ask them why; they dont know what youre talking about. Odds are equally likely that either you're an anteater, theyre just messing with you, or they suspect you of being an anteater but you truly dont know which.

You walk into what you believe to be the bathroom at Arby's but when you enter the doorway you find yourself in a haunting great hall decorated with Necrotic fashioning's and what's this? Stolen Christmas presents? You are in the hall of the Grinch Lich, or the Glich. The Glinch offers you the wonderous dice of Roast Beast. With these dice, you may roll a D20 on checks, or a D12,8,6 etc on attacks and add the values to your roles at the cost of violent and unavoidable, taco bell like shits equal to the value of the roll. If you rolled a 12 on the D12 in a tight fight, you would in the next 24 hours take 12 violent, explosive, possibly bloody dumps all while singing "where are you Christmas" The choice to use the dice is always yours, you do not need to roll them on every attack or check, but when you do, the contract is enforced.

He pulls off to the side of the road and you see The Rock standing next to Rocky Maivia" The Rocks first debute Character." They are waiting eagerly for a fight. You and your spouse have been invited to a wedding. The couple getting married are very close friends of your spouse, but only a passing acquaintance of yourself. They are not bad people, you just don't get along well, much to the disappointment of your spouse (this may have caused tension between yourself and your spouse in the past). On the day of the wedding, events that are within your control have made it so you and your spouse are now running late (for example, maybe you slept through your alarm, or took longer getting ready than expected. The wedding venue is a multi-hour drive away, and your spouse, who is visibly upset and frustrated, insists on driving to try to "make up time." As you are nearly at the venue, with only a few minutes before the ceremony begins, you notice a man standing on the side of the street wearing an impeccable grinch costume, or hell, it could be the grinch himself. He is holding a handmade sign that says "don't attend the wedding... or else. turn around and leave, NOW." As you read the sign, he makes pointed eye contact with you and shakes his head. You get a foreboding sense that something terrible will happen at the wedding, potentially at the hands of this grinch. Do you confront your spouse about your vision and/or attempt to avoid attending the wedding? (Consider: You do not have a lot of time to argue your case as the ceremony is literally about to start. Your spouse is already upset about how the day is going, and may suspect you are trying to avoid the event of people you don't get along with. It is unclear what exactly will happen at the wedding, other than something bad.)

You get an email from Headgum HQ that they are signing new talent to the network, and they'll be present at the company holiday party the next weekend. The energy from the email implies that this new talent is a big get for the network, and since they're sort of a recluse, the party is a way to welcome them in style. You show up, excited to meet the new podcaster, when you see that the new hire is dressed as the Grinch, in an impeccable Jim Carrey costume - or hell, for all you know, it could be the actual Grinch; the costume is just that good. I cannot be less clear about these two points: everyone else in the world thinks this is normal, and your partner is immediately smitten. Every one of the Grinch's jokes puts them in a fit of laughter that you can only dream of one day achieving, and they keep touching the Grinch's arm, saying "I love your fur". He's so funny that some people start joking that NADDPOD would be funnier if they replaced you with the Grinch. Though it starts as gentle ribbing, it quickly gets out of hand and you can sense that upper management is seriously considering replacing you with the Grinch. There is even a new Headgum web series title "Grinch and Amir" set to release on YouTube next week, the news of which has given Headgum a million more subscribers. With your marriages and jobs on the line, you know that there is only one option for you: to "pinch" the Grinch. You know the Grinch will only be accessible to you tonight at the holiday party, and company-wide speeches have just started and everyone is distracted. Again, the Grinch costume is VERY convincing, but you do not even know if it is a costume at all. You do not have time to think. What do you do?

Short and simple, but a scenario that we've discussed many times at work - Fuck, Marry, Kill 1. your friends 2. your co-workers 3. everyone else (and yes, I mean EVERYONE else). Additional context: - "Marry" in this case means you marry them but you never get to fuck them. "Fuck" means you only get to fuck them once. Anyone you fuck will be dressed as the Grinch. "Kill" is pretty self-explanatory - What about a friend who's also a colleague? You'll have to figure that one out yourselves but I think you need to put them in one category Have fun!!!

You and some friends and family are visiting a mall during the holiday season and see that they have a Christmas display. There are some elves, Santa taking pictures with friends, and curiously enough, a man in the worst Jim Carrey costume you’ve ever seen. All the zippers are visible, you can clearly see the person in the costumes eyes, it all looks fake. You turn to mention this to a friend but before you can speak your friend says “Dude, that’s the actual Grinch” you ask some questions but it becomes clear that all your friends, and even the other people in the mall, seem convinced that this is Jim Carrey’s Grinch come to life. What do you do?

You win a free tasting menu at one of the world’s top restaurants (let’s say, number 6) for you and your partner. You go and it’s truly one of the greatest meals you’ve ever had. You end up talking with the chef, who is charming and personable. Over a late glass of wine he invites you to tour the kitchen. However, as he ends the tour, he confides that the real secret to his success is in the next room… you open the door and it’s a bath tub full of sauce. Sauce that you are sure was in multiple dishes. Do you question the chef and do you tell anyone after?!

You have the ability to force everyone in the world to learn one piece of trivia/ “fun fact” AND make them share your opinion about it. What trivial knowledge are you sharing with the world to change it the most? NOTE: it has to be trivial/light/fun for the fact. Examples- Trivia: cows have best friends Opinion: that’s why we shouldn’t eat cows. Outcome: no more beef production Trivia: “You” was originally second person plural, while “thou” was second person singular Opinion: we should go back to using thou Outcome: Thou can tell me what the outcome is!

Like in the movie yesterday there’s an eclipse or whatever and something is erased from existence, but you can remember it and choose what it is, what do you choose? It can’t be the beetles but it can be the actual grinch or just a very realistic grinch suit. Bonus question what if it was all four of you, and it was the concept of candles (I work at a candle company)

You are at a theatrical re-release of The Phantom Menace. Your seat happens to be right next to Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. He says he’s saving a seat for his girlfriend, Taylor, but she still isn’t there when the title crawl about the trade embargo starts rolling. You end up having to go to the bathroom shamefully early into the movie and go out to the lobby, and right as you enter the bathroom, you see two people coming out of the same handicapped stall. It’s Taylor Swift and Sebulba. Taylor leaves very quickly as Sebulba grabs the front of your shirt with his feet, pushes you against the wall, and snarls that “you didn’t see anything here,” before also leaving. When you get back to the theater, Taylor and Travis are sitting next to each other watching the movie in silence, while Sebulba is nowhere to be seen, although you notice Taylor has a pretty intense reaction to some of the podracing scenes later in the movie. Do you say anything about this to anybody, ever?

The Murph Transformation Complication - Picture this, You are sitting down for the first session of campaign one, the table is set, your dice ready. You are so excited to get recording. Then something strange happens, Murph walks in to begin the campaign, he takes his seat and looks at you all. Before you, Murph has transformed into the grinch. He begins recording like nothing has happened, but seems a little grinchier than normal. How would the campaign go? Do you say anything? Do you leave him to DM? Please this is a burning question in my mind. P.s. everytime he says Hardone and Beverly he seems to accidentally say 'Tom and Jerry' and for some reason everytime he goes to Say Moonshine he stumbles over his words and calls her 'Fred Flintstone' Thank you, Sincerely, James

It's a dark and stormy night, and you've finally settled into bed after a long day. The patter of rain pelting your windows and distant rumbles of thunder lull you to the brink of sleep. Light snoring from your dog adds to the comforting background noise, but just as oblivion is about to overtake you, a series of thumps from under the bed startle you awake. Normally, you would assume that it's just your clumsy old dog trying to hide from the thunder, but you look over to confirm that he is soundly asleep at the foot of your bed. Just as your brain starts to conjure up the worst possible images of what monster might be under your bed, the scratchy but unmistakable voice of underappreciated actor Stanley Tucci rises from below, whispering that in order to save your own life, you need to crawl under your bed RIGHT NOW. Do you follow the instructions, or do you ignore the advice of criminally underrated thespian Stanley Tucci?

Upon opening the door, your spouse is sitting on the couch holding a ventriloquist dummy. You are a wealthy spice merchant, known far and wide throughout the land for your prosperous business ventures and lucrative trade deals. However, your empire is founded on a bed of lies: you have had to bribe, blackmail, slit throats, and adulter spices to get where you are, and all of your attempts to go clean have only resulted in you getting dragged deeper into crime. The only light in your life is your 39 year old son, Cinnamon. He is cheerful, young, carefree, and vibrant. He has always been there for you when nobody else was, and practically worships the ground you walk on. However, after an old business partner and close friend, a man with yellow eyes who exclusively wears a green bodysuit or possibly is covered in green fur, has had enough, he threatens that he is going to go to the authorities about your corruption. You know that learning about your true past will wreck your son, dropping him deep into despair and rapidly aging him by decades. Do you silence your former friend, the Grinch, to preserve your son’s perception of you?

You’re on a tour at a vineyard. Wine’s not typically your thing, but you’re trying to be open to new experiences. The tour was great. The setting was beautiful; the guide was knowledgeable; honestly, you’re starting to think it’s crazy you’ve never done this before. The last stop is at the tasting room where you get to try a flight of three different wines: one white, one red, and one blue. The last one seems weird, but no one else reacts and so you assume it’s normal. The guide walks you through the tasting. They explain the aromatics, the mouth feel, the tasting notes, etc. But that is only for the first two. For the last wine, the blue one, the guide leaves and a disheveled looking middle-aged man in a filthy Sonic costume walks behind the bar. This isn’t the real Sonic, it’s clearly a man in a dirty costume. He walks over to you and only you, no other patrons. He looks you in the eyes and says one thing, “Daddy needs his go-go juice,” and hands you your glass. No one else at the vineyard reacts at all. Do you take the drink?

Greetings, two crew! My scenario is thus. It's the holiday season. In fact, it is Christmas Eve. You're at home, perhaps doing last-minute present wrapping or meal prep. You're just about to turn in for the night, when down your chimney tumbles who you can only assume to be The Grinch. Unfortunately, he lands at a bad angle and sprawls out of your fireplace, dead. Max, the ever faithful dog, whimsically belays down the chimney but upon finding his master stone cold, is distraught. He makes a beeline straight for you and it is clear that he has chosen you as his new owner and master. Do you follow your new canine-given calling and become The Grinch himself? Or do you take that hound to the pound and continue your life as normal?

You're a valet working in a large country manor. The area you live in is rife with crime and corruption. Life isn't easy, but your job as a rich man's valet is as cushy as a commoner's life gets. It's midday. The Master is late, and you, as his humble valet, have no choice but to check up on him. However as you walk into the manor you hear several loud explosions. The double doors to the drawing room are flung open. as you approach, you clearly see the following scene. The Master's body lies on the ground, facedown in a pool of his own blood. His corpse is riddled with what looks like large shotgun wounds, fired point-blank. Standing above the corpse is a large, Friesian horse with a glossy black coat and mane. He is about 16 hands high to the withers, and there are remnants of gunpowder smoke rising from his hooves. The horse turns as you approach and fixes you with his glassy horse stare. "You've seen too much." the black stallion speaks in a quiet baritone. "But even if you tell people what you saw here, who will believe you?" With those parting words, the horse rears up and charges out of the house through the open patio door. The following hours are a bit of a blur. Somebody else must have found the crime scene after you, as the sherriff soon pulls up to the manor in his carriage. One by one, the servants are called out to the front of the manor to testify. As far as you know, you were the only one to witness the Black Stallion. The sherriff stares impatiently at you as he waits for you to recount the events of the day. Do you tell him the truth of what you saw?

If you could regrow your limbs piccolo style, but the process is uncontrollable and the most painful thing in your life, would you take it? The regrowth starts a few moments after severing. Painkillers still work as normal, but might not completely dull the pain, and you are unlikely to have them on hand. The pain lasts for the time it takes to regrow (under a second), but it could immobilize you for hours, if not days.

It's a normal day in the 'Tudio when Murph gets up and excuses himself to use the bathroom. After being gone for a concerning amount of time, he returns in a period accurate 1970s US Navy officer's dress whites, with a high and tight haircut that has clearly been hastily bleached, and dyed gray. He now insists on being called "Admiral Murphy". When asked about it, he simply says "What's with the third degree? I just thought I'd try out a new look. I thought it would be alright with you guys, but clearly you have a problem with experimentation." Roll perception (All roll with +4. Murph, pretend you're a cat, or something.): DC 10 Murph's eyes are a slightly darker DC 15 Murph sounds a bit more Jersey DC 20 Distant muffled speech is audible The muffled speech will be impossible to miss if anyone enters the bathroom Murph came from, but entry will be strongly discouraged by Admiral Murphy. The source of the noise is a bound and gagged Murph, hidden in the bathroom. If asked, both insist they are the real Brian Murphy. But only Admiral Murphy has specific knowledge of Murph's life only he would know. Restrained Murphy claims his lack of knowledge is temporary, and was caused by head trauma from Admiral Murphy when he struck him on the head with the toilet tank lid. But past that, neither Murph is at all hostile, or mean spirited. Do you try to figure out who the real Murph is, or are you guys cool with suddenly having two Murphs? And if you decide to get to the bottom of it, what do you do with the impostor?

While home for the holidays, your dad asks to speak with you about something important. He sits you down in his study, locks the door, and pours you a glass of whiskey. Your mind is racing. This isn’t like your dad at all. Is he cheating? Are your parents getting divorced? Is someone sick? Just as your nerves are getting to a breaking point where you have to blurt something out to break the silence, he says, “I have to come clean.” He proceeds to tell you that his “career” was actually a front. For years he has been the head of an illegal spice trading organization. Over decades, he has used every trick, scheme, or dirty deed in the book to stay ahead of competitors and the ever-reaching, long arm of the law, but he’s finally been backed into a corner. He has to disappear, and this will be the last time you ever see him unless you can clear his name and defeat his enemies. You hear a pounding at the door, and your dad bolts up, swings a pack onto his back, and grabs a large gold disc. He breaks the disc, and you see swirling energy surround and engulf him. A bright light blinds you for a moment, and when you can see again, your dad is gone. Instead, you see four translucent specters: Pharashtu (Occult), Goz’rag (Primal), Lenaire (Divine), and Abbathis (Arcane). Each is offering you power to fulfill your dad’s quest in exchange for becoming their champion on this plane. What do you do?

"Faster!" you yell as the bank tellers fills up your bags with small bills. Your boss said this bank robbery had to be quick, you know you have a few minutes to be in and out before the cops come and you are caught. The alarm starts to blare and you feel calm; this is your 3rd bank robbery and they haven't caught you yet and this ain't gonna be any different. Your boss told you that the promising new getaway driver was gonna be there in 1 minute, and that this time they would be on time and waiting out front. As you make your way out of the bank right on time, laden with loot, you look around for the car, there are no vehicles except for one parked conspicuously by the curb. But wait, it’s not just any vehicle – it’s a stone-age car made entirely of rocks, wood, and a giant cloth roof. And sitting in the front seat is your getaway driver dressed in a impeccable John Goodman 1994 live action Fred Flintsone costume, or hell, for all you know, it could be the actual Fred Flintstone (The costume is that good). He gives you a big thumbs-up and shouts, "Yabba dabba doo! Hop in, pal!" You freeze. The bank alarm keeps blaring and you have to make a choice. Do you get into a prehistoric foot-powered car with Fred, or do you take your chances on foot?

You are in a locally owned, discount book shop. Perusing through the stacks you find what appears to be an ancient grimoire. As you start to investigate a green furred hand tries to steal the book. The Grinch or someone in a Grinch costume, you can't be sure, warns you that “This book is too powerful for you”. He is adamant about this. When pressed the Grinch* only gives general ill omens in response to any question. The owner, who happens to be a tight grandma, comes to your aid. She shoo’s the Grinch* away with a skill gained only from raising a child into a future parent. The owner explains that the Grinch*, who she references as “That green man”, has been doing this for years. She is evasive about the book, stating only “It was donated by an old friend”. Do you purchase this book? Can you? In mockery of the lime oracle?

Your best friend, somebody you have known since high-school and stayed very close with through college has just returned after having moved away to another country 3 years ago. They have returned with their new partner who you have had time to meet and you think is wonderful. They have decided to elope in a very small ceremony, with one of your mutual long term friends officiating. Your partner is a pastry chef, so, overjoyed for your friend you declare that you will take care of the cake for the reception that you have all agreed will be held in a place with deep mutual significance. The day of the event has arrived, your partner has created the MOST extravagantly beautiful confectionery concoction of a cake that you have ever seen them produce and you are in your car driving carefully with it in your passenger seat; the ceremony is in 4 hours. Along the way, a sudden violent tickle strikes your soft pallet and before you know what has happened you SNEEZE powerfully All Over The Cake. You panic and pull over to check it, and after near forensically fastidious inspection you find no visible proof of what has happened. What do you do?

Choose Your Own Adventure! You and your significant other are on a well deserved vacation, and due to circumstances beyond your control, have found yourselves antiquing in the non-colonial section of Williamsburg. While there you come upon a thrift store run by a heavy-set short blonde haired man in a brown suit. He introduces himself as Bernard and informs you that the wonders of the ages have passed through his humble shop and that any one of a number of fabulous treasures reside therein. Observing the wares a number of items leap out at you; *a old fashioned refridgerator with cool handle, *a old timey record player that still sounds great, and *a shiny polished bowling ball in your prefered color and pattern. All are reasonably priced and well within your travel budget but Bernard warns that too much of a good thing can result in a bad time. Pick which if any items you choose to purchase and see the reveal below the break. *STOP READING UNTIL YOUR CHOICE IS MADE* ********************************************************************************* *Picking the fridge: You find that the fridge while always chill and frosty, has a tendency to get very cold very quickly, but thaws almost instantly. One day your pet goes missing and you can't find them. For weeks afterwords you search but can find no sign of them. Despondent you open your fride, only to find tucked at the very back your pet frozen in ice. Removing them you thaw them off and find them no worse for ware. It appears that this fridge is actually a perfect cryogenic chamber. Experimentation reveals it to be a perfect cryogenic stasis chamber, but trying to reproduce the technology could take decades. What do you do with this amazing discovery? *Picking the record player: Placing your favorite vinyl record on the player you find yourself swept up in its symphonic melodies. This might just be the best cleanest sound you have ever heard. You find yourself moved by the music and when playing music on it for your friends, family and houseguest find they have a similar reaction. It appears that whatever music is played on the record transports the listener (metaphorically) to make them emphatically feel whatever is played on it. Thrash metal can make people intensely angry while sad songs can bring people to tears. Playing audio recordings can make people overwhelmingly engaged in whatever they hear to the point that they lose track of everything else. It appears that you have a latent mind-control device with the right setup. What do you do with the device as its nuance and effectivness will only grow the more you experiment? *Picking the bowling ball: Deciding to take part in the local bowling night, you find that you are always hitting strikes every time. After playing your tenth perfect game you realize that you have the capability of going pro and becoming a professional bowler, perhaps the best bowler whoever lived, and that you will be way more popular than anyone trying to monetize razor scooting, with sweet bowling trickshots that have never been seen before. What do you do with this talent? *Picking the fridge and the record player: You are bopping around the kitchen, listening to some old timey tunes as you wiggle your finger and dance around. As your prepare a delicious meal, you find that you are running out of counter space and so place the record player on top of the fridge. It warbles and bobbles for a moment, before continuing to play. You continue to dance and cook only to pause as a chill runs down your spine. The Fridge and the record player appear to have merged in some form of lego-transformers esc. combination, creating a snow machine in the middle of your kitchen! Your meal might be ruined if you don't act fast, but it looks like you've got a noise-making instant snowday maker right in your home! What in the world are you going to do? *Picking the fridge and Bowling Ball: You are tired and bleary eyed after a long day of work and a late grocery run. You haggardly carry your bags from the car to your vintage fridge, practically pouring the contents inside in your delirium. Towards the end you hear a load thunk as you unload everything inside but shake it off, shut the fridge and go to sleep. The next morning you awaken to find that you had accidentally dropped your favorite bowling ball, in there, having mistaken it for groceries as you carried them in. The ball has cracked open in the cold of the fridge, revealing a near-bowling ball sized diamond within. You have acquired what is perhaps the largest diamond in the world! What do you do? *Picking the Record Player and Bowling Ball: You find yourself grooving to some tunes as you play another great game of bowling with your friends. The record player bops steadily in the background as you have a fantastic day out. Your game is interrupted however as a man with dark hair and an orange suit with black spots comes up to you and insists that the ball is his and that you should give it back to him for absolutely nothing. He has no evidence but is emphatic about the fact that you will get nothing from returning it to him. What do you do? *Picking all three: Your vision blurs and distorts as you wheel out your purchases. As you step outside you find the handcart you were wheeling the fridge out on has turned into a miniature triceritops. The record player sqwaks in your ear asking what the hold up is, and the bowling ball falls to the ground as heavy as a granite rock. You find yourself back in time in the land of the Flintstones. Turning back around, you find the shop filled with modern appliances as Bernard shapeshifts into the green floating form of the Great Gazoo. He says "Looks like a good choice to me" before winking and vanishing out of existence.

She turns around and despite the clothes and the hair, her face is the Grinch. You stumble back, shocked. She greets you. It's her voice, Murph. It's her, but it's not. You look around and see your framed wedding photos. Her face is the Grinch. She asks you what's wrong. You run to the photo album, tearing through page after page. Grinch. You win a trip on a week long cruise circling from Florida to the Caribbean. As you board, you glance and see what appears to be someone wearing a hyper realistic, Jim Carrey style Grinch costume, or hell, it might be the real Grinch, it's just that good. They are decked out in vacation gear over the suit, and it is nowhere near Christmas. The cruise largely passes without event, and you only catch the occasional glance at the Grinch, usually on the deck or near, but not in, the pool. On the evening of the second to last day of the cruise, you run into the Grinch after leaving a bingo night which you know he won at least once. He corners you and begins intensely trying to sell you what appears to be his room key, trying to get you to take it "as a last act of kindness." He refuses to elaborate on anything if you press him, and simply states "I won't be able to enjoy it tomorrow, and I figure someone should." You notice the room key is for the equivalent of a penthouse suite on a cruise. Do you take the key and stay your last day on the cruise in luxury, do you reject the Grinch and hope he doesn't remember you, or do you try and press the Grinch to understand why exactly he is doing all of this, and if so, how.

It’s your birthday and you are about to enjoy a romantic night in with your partner at home. Candles are lit throughout the room and soft music is playing. Your favourite meal is served. As you sit down table you hear someone at the front door and your partner happily says “Oh! Right on time, I wanted to do something special for your birthday. Pour yourself some wine, I’ll be right back” They return from the front door with a children’s birthday clown in tow and shout “surprise! Happy birthday babe” and sit down with you as the clown, who seems to be incredibly uncomfortable performing at a clearly romantic two person dinner, goes into their routine. It’s fine but nothing special. Your partner is laughing along happily the whole time. If you try and stop the show and ask what the hell is happening, your partner gets hurt and embarrassed but ushers the clown out and returns, quiet and apologising “for being so stupid”. If you sit through the show eventually the clown slows down before stopping and saying to your partner “this is bizarre. What the hell is going on‽ Did you really think this was a good idea for an intimate dinner?” At this point your partner also gets upset and embarrassed. When the clown leaves, how long do you spend comforting your partner before asking them why they thought that was something you would have wanted? There is no amount of time you can wait where your partner won’t be hurt by you questioning them.

It's Christmas Day in Whoville, and you're enjoying a lovely feast with your family, and the Grinch. After he inexplicably saved Christmas, it only seemed right to invite him to enjoy the day. But then it hits you like age 40 hit Cinnamon. The Grinch's originally terrible demeanor changing to sudden and exuberant support of Christmas could be explained by microcardia, and then a cardiac event during the period of exertion trying to push the sleigh. As the greatest cardiac surgeon Whoville has ever seen, you feel obligated to help this strange furry green man. You rush the Grinch to Whoville memorial hospital for an emergency series of tests where your worst fears are confirmed. Without a heart transplant within 48 hours, the Grinch will die. The odds of finding a matching donor heart within this time period are astronomically low. You tell your wife, the hospital's Chief of Medicine, the grim news. To which she responds, "If it were me, I would want to know. But the odds of saving him are so low, and he's finally truly happy. Maybe it's best to let him go with a smile on his face." While you're considering whether or not to let the Grinch die happy and ignorant, you hear a comically loud "WHOOPSIE DAISY" from outside. Almost immediately after, you see a furry green man with accents of grey swing to his death from a string of Christmas lights he seemed to be attempting to steal from the hospital. ID found on the body is that of one Damien Grunch, the Grinch's father. Testing concludes that the Grinch's father is indeed a match for a heart transplant, and had a healthy heart. One problem: He wasn't an organ donor. Do you steal his father's heart, saving the Grinch, but returning him to his Grinchy self? Or do you let the Grinch pass, unaware he ever could have survived, but still knowing true joy?

You press further, and they tell you it’s where they were attached to their conjoined twin, the Grinch. Them and the Grinch were successfully separated as infants, and they grew up healthy with no issues. You are given a first class ticket for you and a few friends and/or family, plus an all-expenses paid vacation to the destination. You board the airplane and are seated with your companion(s). Because you are in first class you're seated first, but you don't notice anyone else lining up for the flight. As your ticket is checked the person gives you a worried, almost pitiful look, but doesn't say anything. After you're seated with your bags stowed you notice a planes worth of Oompa-Loompas start to board. Each one of them gives you a dirty, disgusted, or downright hateful glance, but doesn't say anything. If you try and address them they ignore you. You notice that none of them are allowed to sit in first-class and get the sense that you might be the reason. As you're sitting there you can feel them staring at you. You know that if you get up and leave you'll miss out on this opportunity. If you ask your companion about it they don't think it's weird and are really insistent that you go. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity and they think you're being paranoid if you say you want to get off. The flight crew will serve you but refuse to address the Oompa-Loompas. They act possibly overly nice and still give you those worried glances and pitiful looks. Do you stay on the plane.

You go into a small town local restaurant. A couple other families are present and spread around the room. A teenage boy comes over and introduces himself as your waiter. He is generally polite and does his best to be helpful with questions about the menu (but like most teenagers does not know anything about most of the items). When you are ready to order, he asks “so what can I NOT get you today?” When you check to make sure you heard him right he says, “yeah. Umm, it’s Tuesday. We take what you order and the kitchen makes you something else from the menu.” If pressed, he will claim it has been this way as long as he has worked here and seems genuinely confused uncomfortable with the questioning. The other groups are too far away to question without getting up or yelling, and he appears to be the only waiter. Do you demand to talk to a manager, question another group, or just order something? And if you do order, what is your ordering strategy?

You are flying from Los Angeles to Japan by yourself for work related reasons. The flight is very late at night, and the airport is eerily empty when you get there to go through security. The lights of the airport are dark, and in the shadows you swear you can see the shape of of a shadowy figure flitting through pockets of darkness. Every time you see him you feel a deep sense of dread in your stomach. You board the plane and it is practically empty except the crew and a shadowy figure in the very last seat. The plane takes off and flies for two hours, before suddenly you hit major turbulence and the plane goes down. Miraculously, you land uninjured on a deserted island, and the entire crew has died in the crash. The man in the back seat has disappeared, and you cannot find his body. The first night spent on the island you think you hear rustling from the forest and see glowing red eyes. You manage to fall asleep and dream of Fred Flintstone standing over you with glowing red eyes saying “I can save you, take my hand” and as he reaches his hand out you awake with a start. You don’t hear the rustling or see the red eyes again until night falls, but you swear you can hear a faint call of “Yabba Dabba Doo” in the night. Do you search for Fred, believing he will save you, or do you think he is more danger than he claims?

You MUST take a specific 17 hour flight to get home due to a family emergency. There are only 2 middle seats left. Seat one: you are stuck between Fred Flintstone and Sonic the Hedgehog. Seat two: you are stuck between Scrappy Doo and Jared Leto. All of them want to chat, and constantly tell overly personal stories - they speak loudly during the boarding process, so you know what you’re in for. Which seat do you take?

One morning, out for a jog, you come across a circle of mushrooms in the concrete that wasn’t there the morning before. At that moment, a dog comes running for you at full speed. It has a leash trailing behind it, leading you to believe it has escaped its owner. Sure enough, there’s someone behind it yelling, “Georgie, heel! George!” Paying its owner no mind, the dog literally hops into your arms. You realize you’ve stepped into the circle of mushrooms in all of the confusion. As soon as the dog is in your arms and you’re within the mushroom circle, the dog transforms into an androgynous being with no facial features or identifying features of any kind. The owner turns out to be a fairy, and you have interrupted a complex fox hunt ritual by rescuing what used to be a dog. As punishment for interrupting the ritual, the fairy curses you to keep the androgynous being named Georgie. You find that no matter where you go, Georgie will follow. No matter how fast you run, Georgie will catch up. When you go to work, Georgie is there. When you go to sleep, Georgie is there. Georgie does not appear to eat, sleep, or speak. He’s just there, at all times. The fairy appears before you in a dream and tells you that you can be free of Georgie if you return Georgie to the park and through the circle of mushrooms from whence it came. However, you know that should you return Georgie to the fairy, the fox hunt will continue, and in all likelihood, Georgie will die. Do you return Georgie to mushroom circle, or do you keep your weird new friend?

You are offered a 3 year contract for a TV show and a 500'000$ yearly salary by a major television studio. The show can be anything you desire, on two conditions: 1. You have to be the host of said TV show with at least 5 minutes of continuous screen time in each episode. 2. You have to be visibly wearing nothing but a wooden barrel with suspenders at all times during the show, as well as any and all publicity content and interviews for those 3 years. Would you sign the contract?

You die, as discussed in the last Short Rest, and wake up on the shores of a lake of a fire. You know it’s Hell. Charon the ferryman is there, resting on his punt, his rictus grin near-splitting his face in twain. You hear the screams of the damned - but above it all you hear the cry of ‘Wilma!’ Fred Flintstone emerges from a cave mouth, walks across the ash towards you, stoops, picks up a rock-themed newspaper that the paper boy has just delivered, gives you a friendly nod, and says ‘Oh, how ya doin’ neighbour? Welcome to Hell!’ He and Barney show you around. Hell is Bedrock. A screen-accurate Bedrock, somehow wedged into a Dante-esque hellscape. Fred’s not here because he’s sinned, he just lives here. He’s simply your neighbour. It seems everyone in Bedrock just lives here. They’re unaware they’re cartoons: they seem to think they’re regular living creatures that inhabit this place, living out daily Hanna Barbera hijinks. Fred explains to you that he’s heard of another Hell, which is down a tunnel on the far side of the lake of fire. This Hell is something the ‘big guy’ (he doesn’t specify what that means) calls ‘Hell Classic.’ Sometimes new neighbours choose to go there when the Bedrock shenanigans get to be ‘too much.’ Only caveat is, no-one ever comes back from Hell Classic. What do you do? Remain Fred Flintstone’s neighbour for all eternity, or risk whatever exists beyond the portal in Hell Classic? Bear in mind, there’s no explicit torture in Bedrock, but every single day plays out like the cartoon. The inhabitants seem to love it. But they, unlike you, were born for Bedrock. The decision is yours.

You are going for a walk along the beach when out of the tides emerges Poseidon (who looks suspiciously like a green furry misanthrope, but with a trident) and reveals you are his child and Hecate is your mother (they had a summer fling, don't ask) He offers you a boon as your birthright, that will allow you to transform into a creature of the water, but Hecate will curse this gift so that you can only transform on a full moon, and it is these creatures: a weresalmon, wereplankton or weregoblinshark. What do you choose?

You wake up one day, everything is normal until someone asks how you are doing, only for you to realize that you can only respond with “ it’s a livin” Fred flinstone style. Later in the day you have to text you’re S/O and realize you have to start off the conversation with “ do I make you horny baby” Austin powers style. Any form of excitement is replaced with you loudly screaming “ shagadelic” also Austin powers style

You are at the mall with your partner to get some holiday shopping done. As you traverse the crowded hallways, an old man pulls you into a mall ally, and hands you a pristine bucket hat. He says, “only you can Carrey this burden,” and then disappears. Naturally, you put the bucket hat on and try to find your partner. As you walk through the mall, people move out of your way and give you appreciative glances. A gen z looking teen says “watch out for Mr. Small wallet” and daps you up. You find your partner, and they tell you you’re glowing. They’ve never been more attracted to you. Hell, even your father calls you on the phone, and tells you he’s proud of you. You walking on air. This may be the greatest day of your life; however, as you go to check yourself out in this new bucket hat, a green face is staring back. When you take the hat off, you turn back to normal. The second the hat is back on it’s as if you put on an impeccable Jim Carrey Grinch costume. You feel your arms and they're furry. You take the hat off and ask your partner why they didn’t tell you looked like the Grinch. They stare you dead in the eye and say, “I don’t who that is, but is everything okay? You don’t seem like yourself.” They are noticeably less into you. The next day, people don’t seem interested in you. No one special reaches out. The world seems a little duller. Do you ever put the hat back on?

You work at a thrift store, while you are processing incoming items you come across a strange book. You flip through it and find it to be filled with strange symbols and esoteric instructions. On a whim you wave your hands and repeat some words and the book glows as a small item levitates 2 inches off the ground! You’ve found a real life spell book! You quickly buy it before it can go on the shelves and take it home to study. Working diligently it takes you 6 months to master the simple levitation spell and by your estimates it might take you over 50 years to master the whole book if you devote yourself fully to it. As you lament your decades without magic you remember a ritual in the back of the book. You can send the book back precisely 20 years into your past and bind your soul to the book as a familiar spirit. You gain an innate understanding of magic and remember your life perfectly but you are magically bound to never reveal your identity. You can become invisible and intangible but can never be further than 20 feet away from the book. Do you send the book back in time and become your younger self’s magical mentor or do you remain in the present?

You're walking through the woods, it's dark out and you're a little lost. All of a sudden a small black cat walks up to you and is actively trying to get you to follow it. You notice it's wearing a collar that has ancient runes inscribed on it. Something feels ominous and off. Do you follow the cat? Is it leading you to your doom?

Oh no I'm late! Well, hopefully I can share next time, but I'll add here just in case anyway: You're at your wedding day right before the big kiss, holding hands with your beloved, beautiful vows have been shared, and the Officiant finally gets to the "You may now kiss the bride" part. You have a lovely kiss, friends and family celebrate, but right after the kiss you see the Officiant says "Up top!" and holds up their hand to you for a high-five. As this happens, for whatever reason, your phone in your pocket starts playing loud, off-putting sex noises. Moans, aggressive grunts, yelps, everything. You try to lower the volume, which doesn't work, but shut off your phone entirely as fast as you can given the shock. Things, understandably, feel awkward. Some members of the audience are doing their best to ignore what just happened, some can't make eye contact, some legitimately look disappointed. After a few beats sitting in this moment, the Officiant, also looking uncomfortable, looks back to you with a still confused but serious look as they wordlessly raise their arm back up for another attempt at a high-five with you. Do you try to offer any excuse to the audience and do you high-five the Officiant?

Been awhile since I messaged about it, but would love to hear some more Twilight Sanctorum episodes. If there is a tier for that, I'll upgrade in a heart beat

Youre about to meet your partners family for the first time. This is a serious relationship and think they may be the one for you. Your partner has talked about their family before, including their little brother, who they have described as eccentric but deep down a really good person if you put in the work to know him. As you get to the door, your partner says “I want to give you a second to prepare yourself, my brother is the grinch. The actual grinch” and then proceeds to knock. You are then greeted by your partners parents, who are normal looking middle age people. As you walk in, you then get your first look at Him, the little brother. The grinch. Throughout the night he is stand-off ish and rude in grinchly fashion, even going so far as to take the bottle of white wine you brought and pour it on you so it looks like you pissed yourself (PS, I’ve never seen the grinch so my only frame of reference is you talking about him on the show, is that something he would do?). At one point during the night, he pulls you in close and whispers in a voice only you can hear and says “you gotta help me, they won’t let me take the suit off”. When you bring this up to your partner later they get stone faced and say “mind your own business. Families can be complicated”. They refuse to answer any further questions and start to look at you suspiciously. If you look at family photos, all of them feature the grinch (the same size he is now, even when your partner is younger). However, the “grinch”, who has been acting grinchly again since whispering in your ear, keeps making panicked eye contact with you and seems to be asking for help. How far will you go to figure out the truth. How willing are you to free “the grinch” if it really is a costume and he has honestly been an asshole to you all night.

You recieve a phone call stating that you've won the lottery. At first, you don't believe it, but you did buy a ticket and as they continue speaking to you, it all starts to click that it's real, you've won a major jackpot and your life is about to change forever. You go down to the official office where they give you information on taxes and how you can actually obtain the money and everything's going great. After signing the dotted line and being told the money will appear in your account after a few weeks. You do a quick photoshoot with the CEO of the lottery company, who appears to be in a very lifelike Grinch costume, weird. Six weeks later, the money has not appeared in your account, how do you proceed?

The house next to yours has a neighbor you've always hated. They always glare at you whenever you run into each other, and spit at you and call you a "scoundrel and a curr". One day, however, you come home to see your neighbor standing in their front yard, dressed head to toe as Sasuke from the hit anime Naruto. They are staring forlornly into the middle distance and holding the watering hose, and don't seem to notice you. You can tell at a glance they've been crying. You think it's strange but decide to leave them to their business, but that night at 11 pm they come knocking at your door, still in the cosplay. You see through the peephole that they are sobbing, and holding a lifesize cardboard cut out of Caldwell. They ask to come inside to talk. Do you let them in?

You are invited to play wheel of fortune, broadcasted on public television at prime time and with the possibility to win a lot of money. It's a good thing, too, because Crash Bandicoot has been showing up at your door every time you go outside and water your plants or leave the house. Crash has told you that he won't stop unless you pay him a million dollars -- and that's exactly what you could win on this game show! But when you get to the set, the staff tell you that the usual host had to leave but called in a substitute. When you get to the stage, you see that the substitute game show host is a man in the grinch costume -- or hell, maybe it's the Grinch himself. You are performing really well, but every time the cameras are off for an ad break, the Grinch approaches and grumbles at you that you better not win because he really needs the money. The tone is threatening. Do you try to win?

You wake up one morning and are visited by a spirit. It tells you it can give you one of three superpowers ( super strength, super speed, or flight)! You can only pick one of the powers but each one comes with a catch. If you choose strength you have to always wear the donkey Kong tie and can never take it off. And each romantic encounter must start by you singing “ Heeyyyo look out down below here he come banana slamma!” And then preceding to only call your partner “dude” or “little buddy”. If you take the speed your hair all over your body will turn permanently blue. And you must always have a pair of sneakers on at all times that you can never take off. Also any time you have a romantic encounter with your partner you must always reference how fast you are! If you you choose the flight you grow a tail and you must always have your hair spiked two feet tall in bleach blonde spikes. also anytime you get “romantic” with you partner you must always comment on both of your “power levels” all the time. Which of any of these powers would you except!
