Wyl

OH MY GOD i have wanted short rests for these eps ever since they came out and now my hot boy summer dreams have come true, smack dab in the middle of the fall. its a grinch night miracle

Cook

Thank yuuuu

ForestFawnStudio

SAME!!! I always wanted to hear their commentary on these episodes because the original hbs short rests were so funny too!!

James Jaskolka

Anyone have any idea why this might not play for me? Or why I can’t get the RSS feed to work for apple??

Jake Alcott

I feel like part two was very Medford-esque

Hedge

I just relistened to this one earlier in the week, so this is perfect!

Hunter Gerth

These were legendary episodes

Kellyd

Emily's reveals this episode of what could have been make it clear: she is not the hard ass troll DM, she is merely the best at appropriately reacting to the Hot Boys' insane moves lmao

InternetEthan

I listen to so much dnd content, I love so much of what NadPod and other networks put out. Hot Boy Summer is in a league of its own. Can’t wait for more!

Ben Kullerd

Oh man, I'm so pumped for this! (Were there ever Short Rests for the OG Mavrus Chronicles? I need more sidebars and pretentious beers in my life.)

Tim

I can’t believe Murph forgot about his future interactions with the stickers! So excited to listen to the next short rests

Jbird723

The first arc of the HBS Mavrus chronicles did have short rests but they didn’t do short rests for this blazing babe saga until now

Ellie P

The Mavrus Chronicles make me laugh more than any podcast I’ve ever listened to, so glad these are being revisited, so glad for more short rests. Please make more, we need a ski lodge moment and shadoween

GhostToken

I listened to these at work, and I really struggled to keep it together

Natural Dragon

Pure speculation here but since Zac was on dungeon court recently and releasing hot boy summer. I really hope it’s setting us up for the next chapter of the most toxic best friends ever!! I hope it’s a ski weekend over winter break.

Shel B Kennas fav SG is welly’s number one felly

omg yes please go back and listen to the SR's for the original mavrus arc. PS if you havent, there's a mixed bag of them talking about their characters for it and did you know mac and hungry dave were gonna be named other things? Tread was essentially out of the box ready during that session 0!

Shel B Kennas fav SG is welly’s number one felly

honestly they're at their funniest when reacting to the consequences of their actions and discovering all the fun things she had planned for them if they had just been good HBS' but they didnt. Frankly as cool as everything was she had planned, im so obsessed with how much they made out of the stupid choices like the mega bike and vegetable tent. Hot boys are primo when they're whining

Shel B Kennas fav SG is welly’s number one felly

Dungeon Docent DMily and the HBS crew-- thanks for returning to such a fun side(bar) quest. I legitimately cannot wait to hear their reactions to the totally inert stickers. :) Is it possible to insert old Caldwell “rolling with the….” Like yall did for his first pat leave

Brett Harris

It’s so funny listening to them talk about not remembering any of the details when I’ve listened to it at least 10 times and have every line memorized and still laugh.

wizard wearing a poodle skirt

FWIW I would do literally anything for a Mixed Bag of just Jake as Tred doing a faithful cover of Screaming Infidelities

Cody Zimmer

Omg, you had the jobs on the short rest! Thank you for asking Murph!

Cody Zimmer

And thank you for looking up the notes Emily.

Plopp

I missed that there even was a sequel campaign, so this is a great and welcome surprise

Kenzi Perkins

Ive needed the short rest for these for 2 years!

Kenzi Perkins

If you weren’t able to afford the payment (no shame and not bullying, I’m regularly having to wait a week extra sometimes) it won’t play. I usually have to delete and redownload the RSS feed 2 times a year too. Maybe close the app fully? I’m trying to think of all options

ACK

This is great! Does Emily have any ideas as to future HBS arcs, or is that still to come/under wraps?

Young Hemlock

The hardest I've ever laughed at DND was hot boy summer. Was so fun to re-listen!

Ursa

i love the bon frere group dynamic so much, it scratches the same part of my brain that reeeally off the rails short rests get to! ps i'll have you! all!! know!!!!! blink-182 has new music that's actually pretty good therefore i call recency & they get a Get Out Of Old Free card

Li I

Yeah, i think that they are the cast of Girls and Mavrus is trying to pull a Shoshana and leave, but he’s Hannah and I guess Mac is Marnie? so he can’t.

Sam

Just putting it out there that I would not be the slightest bit mad if we had a month of dnd court. Just sayinnnn thanks love yall

Roo

This is fantastic! thanks so much for posting these and doing a short rest for it! If you're looking for other stuff to replay over the next several weeks, might I suggest the Solstice one-shot that Emily did as a Mixed Bag yeears ago. I recently discovered it in the Mixed Bag feed and I absolutely LOVED it!

Adam!!!!!

no spoilers for the people who haven't heard the other 2 parts yet but the stickers were so fucking funny when they came back up later

D Cord

Love listening to this. Hot boy summer is legitimately some of my favorite media of all time, I absolutely need more.

The Soft Owlet

"We can't just do D&D Court and 8-Bit Book Club for a month" Yes. Yes you can. Give the people the Axford cut.

Marissa Clopton

Caldwell, I wish you, Suze, and the fam all the best with you new babe. My wife and I also had a preemie this year, and I know nothing can make it better until it’s better. Know that you’re part of this huge community of preemie families who will do anything they can to lift you up and support you. Hope today is a good day.

Vaelyhn

You guys should do an Animorphs 8-bit book club series until Caldwell returns. Do it! Don't be cowards!

Hamerin

If we were judging by looks Caldwell looks the most like a dentist.

Atlantis Thermostat

Favorite Lines: "But arent you glad you brought that sand?" -Mavrus "Nip Harder!" -Mac (the Jersey accent really sells it lmao)

Travis Dreelin

"Should I bring my own sand?" "Yeah, you should probably bring a couple."

SkipperMars

Fantastic all around. Loved every second. Hats off to Pastford

SkipperMars

No they made the right decision. Don’t second guess them. I need regular DnD content or there will be trouble.

charlie garcia

Wish Zac would join the podcast full-time

Cass DeMarco

OMG YES SHORT REST FOR THESE

Emily Wines

running wild beyond the witchlight in a bit and this gave me so many fun ideassssss

dryptid

i agree with murph, at 50:07 of Part 2, jake going "Okay, I come out of invisibility, "So to recap: since we've been here we've been covered in shit, sprayed with seltzer, Mac got a hug, and we talked to my dad. Why is this an interesting party place for us to fucking go?" I lost my shittt so fucking funny in Tread's voice

Heckin Good

It would need someone to do another pass on the audio though. It just constantly jumps from dead quiet to deafening.

James (plz make more trinyvale eps)

Yeah, it took me a bit to realize that she’s only punishing them for their own stupidity lol. At first it was a bit jarring to me how much she constantly punished them lol

Alex Cartwright

Murph, after listening to this for the upteenth time, I think it makes sense that Mac doesn't work for his parents. Mac is constantly rebuking his brewing lineage in the first arc, and forging his own way, so it tracks that he would opt out of a job at the family brewery and try to do his own thing. And of course it didn't work out yet, so he is picking up shifts at the Piggy Wiggly now. Awesome chacter development :)

Murf'nLurph

A tea is a "natural upper" but caffeinated beer isn't? 😂
