Jake brings your questions (and a bunch of terrible puns) to the 2 Crew for a chat about Campaign 3 and beyond. Thanks to everyone who submitted!

Jake Alcott

Next campaign takes place in Medford, MA?!

Adam Kepper

Thank you guys so much for the wonderful campaign! I really look forward to these chats. I can't wait for the future

Jesse Dunlap

New campaign in a dystopian future America.

wick

Happy Hoglidays!

heavy harry

Ooooo I love a hogliday hearthside

Kellyd

Caldwell never failing to remind everyone why AI is pure evil makes me feel so seen. AI is destroying not only the physical world but also society and if you use it you fucking suck!!

Leomund's Tiny Nut

There is something undeniably sexy about "HerMittens"

Clever Innuendo

Snowflake Hermit sounds like an obscure class that Emily would play.

timweather

“He stands alone, Godsmack style” is going into my lexicon

Evan Cordero

Out past Murphiew is phenomenal

Jonathan

The only song balnor plays is wonderwall

Mac

I know I'm never gonna change your mind, and also this is absolutely not the time or place to have this discussion, but there are net goods/positives to keep AI around and help people. AI is simply a tool, but if you wield it poorly you'll get less than favorable results and may end up hurting others' hard work in the process. Though I also understand that I'm making a "guns don't kill people, people kill people" argument when I'm really not trying to. Do what you will.

Miguel

How about Jingle Cald "the" Wells?

Kellyd

"Net" goods has simply not proven itself to be true. Some standalone goods, yep. Net goods - nope.

Miz_erable

I loved everything you've done! I really hope that future series play with other systems, as you go for shorter series.

CamSmall

Lin Manuel Miranda recently wrote a musical of The Warriors.

Bloop bloop

Oof, I felt this like a gut punch 😭

Xanian Jamfalcon

When Jake said "I'll just use a quarter" it made my teeth shiver.

Deena Shirkool

Jake saying “that’s how they built the Taj Mahal” was an excellent point and Out Past Murphew should have taken another tiny L imo

Ben Daly

Realising at the end why what you said is a terrible take and then still saying it is so wild to me, you had the chance to not post it which makes me realise you didn't understand your terrible point at all

xatlern

Omg running an oops all bards campaign that starts with a traveling theater troupe has been a dream of mine for years. Seeing Emily's take on that would be amazing.

Josh Kumar

Dawg I’m trying to figure out what this means because I know it can’t be a “Jingle All The Way” reference.

Fridge

some AI is good, generative AI, especially in Art, tends to be especially not that tho

Ian Hudson

Jingle Cauld the Wells

Ryley D

Love you guys!!! Also Flake Burwitz, had me dying

Claytron

So, 8-bit book club, hell maybe even Jank as a first time guest, should watch The Warriors

Shel B Kennas fav SG is welly’s number one felly

Re: the theatre troupe and gossip rag regret… I’d love a theatre group that travels to different regions that’s actually a cover for them both seeding rumors and gathering gossip, like information brokers.

casey eats pizza

Listen to the episode and can't tell if the title is a typo or one of Jake's puns

colby

fake fur mitts

Emz

Hoping for new settings but also fingers crossed for things in Eldermourne. I loved the style of it!!

Aaron Bowyer

Might I recommend: “All I Want for Christmas is Hugh”

Felix

A session 0, that's so exciting

Ryan Higgins

Thanks for the run. Catch your breath, and get ready to do it again

Maggie Schaller

Totally crazy to hear about the Warriors in this! Lin Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis just released a mixed tape based off The Warriors in November, with a gender-switch for the Warriors. Features a lot of the Hamilton cast, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and a ton more. They are likely working on the stage production now, but the album is cool, so you should listen to it if you can!

Mortimer Lunch

Murph bringing the big grinch energy today - gotta take so many Ls this go around. SNOW JAKE HER-MITTS FTW!

Takowowo

Re: Cyberpunk and The Warriors. Have you ever thought of running the cyberpunk red ttrpg? Also if you want an insane version of the Warriors I suggest checking out High and Low the Movie franchise on Netflix. It's.... it's insane

ak

now THIS

ak

absolutely stayed up past my murphew listening to this 😌 when remembering bits that had me laid out, I’m now realizing that in my mind I combined the little fae wild gang at the bar with the surprise round question about what to do when challenged by a motorcycle gang (not in your hometown) bahahaha

jawnster

Can we please have an Air Gear style warriors ezry cyberpunk? This is the best idea I've heard in a while

Pedro De Oliveira

Would be sick to see the 2 crew in a different setting than high fantasy! (Maybe with the cyberpunk system??)

Jarod With

Jake Effect Snowitz was RIGHT there, guys.

jawnster

Cambridge lol

KingHalt

Knowing how S tier the puns are it has to be a pun. Especially since it's Champagne instead of Campaign

Jake Alcott

The wild, high fantasy land of Cambridge, Mass. they could get Sam Reich to guest as the mayor

ACK

Re Mac, it's true that there are some useful, and genuinely generative applications for "AI", mainly recognising patterns in very large/complex datasets. This has uses in the sciences, both "hard" and "soft" (people may have heard the example of genetics before). However, the current expansion of "AI" IS a net negative given the devastating environmental costs, to say nothing of social ones. Even the positives are double edged, given the same capabilities will be and are being used by dodgy outfits, e.g. racist and otherwise oppressive police forces (see "predictive policing" in Bristol in the UK context). Even if this expansion facilitates some useful stuff, the benefits skew toward the rich (both in terms of individuals and countries), while the costs skew toward the poor (likewise). So I'd say it's inherently evil beyond any utilitarian measure, we don't have a right to sacrifice people over their heads. To be clear, my ire here is directed at the big corporate/government actors pushing "AI", and informed evangelists. Not, for example, people watching random videos with "AI" content on YouTube (although feeling how I do it's not something I do).

Kali Berg

I’m so glad you addressed the AI fireplace scourge on youtube this year

Ryan

Welp can’t wait until campaign 4.

Eric

I swear murph just loves everything that I love. The Warriors is one of my favorite movies. Cyberpunk was also one of my favorite games. Please do that idea murph!

Dru Thomas

I love the idea of shorter stories

Kiwa

Watched The Warriors the night before listening to this and I immediately wanted to steal the ideas for a campaign/arc

Jake de Medeiros

I wish that instead of throwaway damage/gags, characters faced more social consequences for their dumb jokes. In frostwind, when Hardwon insulted the frost dwarf government at the bar, they kicked the party out, which led to them going to the wedding with less information, which led to one of the best moments in the history of the podcast. When sol insulted that fire giant guard and just got punched, I was disappointed that there was no social consequences. C3 had a lot of moments where the characters were absolute *assholes*, which was super funny, but I just with the NPC’s had a bit more backbone instead of just ignoring it.

Ilana Galpert

i wonder if we'll get some twilight sanctorum dice in the future...

Transfemmes4murph

“thats how they built the Taj Mahal” is the wildest defence for your bs

Pat S

Murph and Lin Manuel Miranda on the same creative page. Literal Warriors bway show coming from LMM.

Adrian

Oh I would love more adventures in different systems and settings!

Genaro Morales

What is Caldwell's first nickname? Calling zine? I'm so confused

polyglottal cracker

One of my favorite things is when they're workshopping a pun and I come up with a great one that I keep screaming at the podcast and then Caldwell later comes up with it. It's the best form of validation. (In this case it was the "Brrwitz" one)

Nicole Jordan

Omg I was so hopeful about a Xunark x Callie moment but the Young Stag x Callie has is awesome

Nicole Jordan

The new years song is Auld Lang Syne :) I only know this from the Unsleeping City because Siobhan I think sings it haha

Tonks

Anyone else wanna start of 2025 with the Trinyvale Triplets? I think we need that

Henry Giles

Murph put out a charcuterie board of tiny L’s for the haters to snack on this episode

Jbird723

Love “the warriors” idea Murph has

Briar Bertolin

MOONFALL REFERENCE FROM CALDWELL THE MOON IS A MEGASTRUCTURE

Ryz

I really hope that someday as a prank Emily leaves every d20 she owns on a 1, In inconspicuous places around her home. Just to see how many it takes Murph to find and fix before he realizes it’s a set up.

Cody Zimmer

Hey Murph, was the large scale combat at the green knight castle the same mechanics you had madefor the Hexblood large scale battle? The one they never ended up using because they went all rogue and assassinated the king instead. I just happened to listen to the hexblood episodes between the green knight castle siege and this one and I gotta know now.

Lee

am hoping so hard for the hotboy skie trip and/or more twilight sanctorum.

Dave 3D Art

Gotta say, would love to see a Cyberpunk Red session from you folk. There's even baked in support to fantasy it up via the Elflines Online material.

Adam!!!!!

you could say he's jaking his dm debut

Adam!!!!!

they'll be filled with ball bearings and peanuts

Thermovore

LOVE the idea of new mini campaigns and seeing new/exiting material. Into the shift, but praying that we get non-5e content. I’m so oversaturated on this system

Ryan Nolan

The 2 Crew could play a Root: The Roleplaying Game Campaign based on the boardgame Root: A Game of Woodland Might and Right. You get to be cute little woodland animal vagabonds doing adventures in a dangerous Woodland beset by factional conflict. Simple rules and rolling with a lot of player flexibility. Cat or possum character!

nandrusin

In regards to one of the last questions, I thought C3 had the PERFECT balance of throwbacks and new stuff. Lots of C1 references, but it in no way overshadowed C3. And C1 stuff tied in in unique ways to C3 that were unexpected.

John Tirella

Just saw Caldwell yelling "Olaf dies in frozen 2" out of a car window

Amelia Granato

can’t emphasize enough how hype i would be to see the two crew play with the cyberpunk red system and/or make a mini-campaign with heavy cyberpunk themes. my partner and i are obsessed with it and want to learn the system/run games, so it would be both entertainment and education 🤣 can’t wait for you to chip in, chooms!!!

Dani

Lol. Love that Warriors the musical is a thing now.

Ben

On the topic of Emily mentioning the want to do a Cyberpunk style campaign, there is a TTRPG called Cyberpunk Red that is based on the Cyberpunk games in that there are different type of edgerunners you can be. I know that that game has a lot of fun mechanics that could probably be pulled from if you were to do a Cyberpunk type adventure

Kathryn G.

bring back the crick tshirt 💔💔

Laura !

emily loves john wick so much i wonder if she got to see monkey man !! my favorite action flick of the last several years

Caitlin Littleton

That's why I always do the Calcifer yule log lol

sabertruth19

Is Jingle Caldbells just too far from the actual name? Also love Snowflake Brrrwitz. Sleighbell Manner/Manor?

Christian Waters

Check out Notability on iPad for note taking. I use it for work and personal note taking and journaling but you’re able to upload pdf’s and images really easily and edit them in the app. Seems like a solution for wanting the convenience of iPad note taking while getting to physically write on a character sheet potentially?

Noah Jeans

WARRIORS IS A MUSICAL. Lin Manuel Maranda released a concept album with a bunch of big names like literally a few months ago. Please listen to it it’s amazing 🥺

Austin C Bell

Came here to say this!! Murph needs to listen!

Evan McDaniel

You guys could use the cyberpunk red system, but set in Ezry

Bryce Peterson

So happy they gave us a non-zero chance of Twilight Sanctorum coming back. Genuinely excited for whatever comes next (including Skaldova).

Aria

Catching up right now and had to come here to make sure someone had commented about the Warriors musical!! So worth a listen

Nathan W

Thank you so much I downloaded the patreon app just to figure out what the hell he was saying

Alexis

Me perking my ears up for Caldwell to pop in knowing how he feels 😂 It’s Dec 2025 and I hope Emily and Murph aren’t watching those obvious AI ones now. But lately I’ve been running into ambiance playlists that are so rife with AI music too that it’s hard to avoid them now :/ I spend too much time scanning the description/ comments for AI mentions

Kellyd

I default to lofi girl now, the creator has been super vocal about being anti-ai and I haven't found others that i can feel confident about!!
