Cas

this is PERFECT timing with the ROTS rerelease !!

Scrumblina Brumblina

I always appreciate the surprise late night Mixed Bags. Thanks for all the great content.

Cas

oh view crew how i’ve missed you

Jake de Medeiros

I know they like to shake up the mixed bag every month… but it would be a CRIME not to do a revenge of the sith mixed bag next month while it’s still in the public eye. That or an m&m’s taste test part two, even though we already know Emily is a pro. Jake didn’t get the right peanut m&m’s so it really does have to be re-done.

Connor Brady

These movies are still the same trash they were a couple decades ago

Hammy

No way. I just finished watching this for the first time in at least 10 years. I didn’t like it

ksm11

I just know Murph is going to lose his mind at some point and I'm here for it.

Quest For Quests

Caldwell being censored while talking about acolyte took me out I just wasnt expecting a beep

Ian Mcilwean

Those Novels people have referred regarding the prequels were not EU material. They're basically George's entire script turned into a book cause he cut so much stuff in fact they cover exactly what you guys are talking about because it was cut.

Beau R.

It makes me sad when Emily says she isn’t smart enough to understand something. The scene with the lights just going over their faces was artistically interesting in concept but the execution wasn’t the best. As a Star Wars kid growing up I always liked 2 the least under 1 mainly cause the cg on the clones kinda made my head hurt.

sawnnyM

Star wars jedi survivor lightsaber stances! The heavy stance in that is what Emily is looking for. That's some HEFT

Max

"im gonna say it, there's too many waterfalls" im crying

Robert Zorzi

Omg such silly and infuriating views. So funny to listen to you guys 😂

Sami

Murph is so valid for using the Weird Al song to remember details about the prequels

wizard wearing a poodle skirt

wow, this ‘sode really has it all: star wars prequel trilogy discussion, stitch, “tread so carefully”, sebulba mentioned, a quiz, and yet another L for murph’s blood pressure ❤️

Sam

Thanks, Disney!

Verdigree

Anakin doesn't turn into Darth Vader only because of what happened to his mom, the Jedi and the entire Galactic Republic are deeply corrupt and decaying, leading to a process of rising authoritarianism and facism that slowly created the Empire, George Lucas is not a subtle man in his tragically accurate critique and prediction of a democracy prosecuting a pointless forever war, the villian Nute Gunray for example, that name, is based firstly on Newt Gingrich, and secondly Gunray, Ray Gun, Reagan Little Anakin asks the Jedi if Qui-Gon and Padmé came to Tatooine to free the slaves, they didn't, and only took Anikin because they could use him, and left his mother behind for their own selfish purposes. The Republic had no interest in caring for those people and neglected the disenfranchised within its territory for centuries

Mitchellguy101

Thank you sooo fucking much Disney Visa Card 🙏🏽

Proopypants

What a delight to wake up to. I'm only partway thru, awaiting Emily's Sebulba Take for this one xxx

JumpTrash

i genuinely wouldnt mind them literally just reviewing all the star wars movies. i'd love to hear their takes on the original trilogy and some of the newer movies like solo and rogue one

Bob C

I'm sorry, but is 'Sifon Dias'(not looking up that name on principles) just a chopped and screwed version of Sidius?

Verdigree

Unfortunately, Count Dooku's fight had to be changed, though Christopher Lee had well over half a century of stage combat experience, by the time of this movie, how he phrased it was he just didn't have the knees for it anymore, and the scene had to be changed to get his stunt double

Verdigree

So, our old pal Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas was on the Jedi Council and the best guy they had at seeing the future. When he told them something they didn't want to hear, that a war would devastate the galaxy, they refused to believe it and kicked them off the council, so he went off and ordered a clone army from aliens of really dubious morality to fight the war, but was killed by Palpatine, who modified the blueprint for the clones a little

Eli the Gamer Guy

They need to watch the Clones Wars Animated series

Lorelei and Kyra Newly Weds

You guys should 100% watch the Clone Wars animated series... Preferably both if possible

David Tatarczuk

The original 2003 one in the style of samurai Jack. They would love it It also explains the beginning of Episode 3 so some would consider it a necessary viewing lol

Lindsey

I ran here to shout the same thing into the void! Anakin is 1000% better developed in the animated series. The whole story honestly.

Kellyd

Wait I don't know enough about Star Wars to understand why they bleeped part of what Caldwell said around 20 mins

Eli the Gamer Guy

They should watch both. The Faloni ones are dark af

Azn

I think its crazy that they got one of the most famous fencing actors, gave him a special built fencing lightsaber, and didn't have him fight like a fencing match. It should have been like the opening scene of The Duellists

Colby Greer

I saw RotS in theaters last night, and I kinda get the heft thing🤣

Torie Berke

Hello, what did they bleep during the Acolyte convo?

Amelia Campbell

I saw attack of the clones in theaters when i was 12 so this feels like listening to a discussion of a dream i once had 😅😅

Amelia Campbell

Same! Some sort of spoiler that I want to know, but won't understand

Cumbia Zookeeper

Around the *survivors* a perimeter create. It's also the most uncomfortably delivered Yoda line.

Mitch M

I love these guys and maybe I’m just a fan boy incel but I truly truly cannot believe their hate for episodes 1 and 2. There’s enough in both movies to make them watchable and fun

thiswayjose

THEY BLEEPED A SPOILER IN A MIXED BAG?!?! ARE THINGS NOT SACRED ANYMORE?!?!

Josh Rindt

The Obi-Wan subplut of this movie would have been so much better if Sifo-Dyas ended up being an alias of Qui-Gonn's

Benjamin Hake

UNPRECEDENTED! NADDPOD'S FIRST CENSOR! P.S. Olaf dies in Frozen 2

Brendan McD

I thought Qui Gonn was responsible for the clones this entire time

Ryan

I need to rewatch it! Such a good series to binge haha.

Kellyd

They've also bleeped a spoiler for a Ryan Reynolds movie!

Izzy

Please watch the tv show

Hammy

How can you cast Samuel L. Jackson in this movie and make him the most boring motherfucker in the galaxy?

Shane C

242 area code is the Bahamas so it’s objectively cool

Alan

Emily asked something about media re different lightsaber forms, and it reminded me about this rad clip of a discussion Sam Witwer (actor who played Maul) had about a scene in the show Rebels- a really quick fight full of chess-like decisions on what form to use: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uNh6wcC-l18 Spoilers for the show Star Wars Rebels and probably clone wars (and the fate of Darth Maul, which I get may be confusing) Also sorry to get serious and nerdy

David Tatarczuk

They are both amazing And yes that one is dark AF The original they could do in an afternoon though. Easier on them

Cheese of the Lake

Ok but now you guys need to watch the clone wars tv show and I feel like it really fleshes out Anakin’s character and turn to darkness

Brock

i always forget that the crew and i are not the same age and then they slam me back into reality with some boomer take on the prequels

Ryanne Wallace

The amount of chronically online references murph is making lately is so funny.

Billy Peake

Millennial take. Boomers are less likely to have an opinion on the prequels at all.

Billy Peake

There are some great episodes, but I think fans kind of forget how much of a slog Clone Wars can be. For every great episode, there’s an absolutely terrible JarJar or C3P0 and R2D2 episode.

Colby Greer

On yalls point about the prequels vs sequels, my brother once summed it up perfectly "the prequels are what happens when good ideas are executed poorly, and the sequels are when bad ideas are executed well"

Cheese of the Lake

Oh absolutely! I feel like there’s should be a list somewhere of all the “plot” episodes and it cuts it down significantly. There is a lot of filler and “I learned something today” episodes.

chlo!

emily would love the new Cal Kestis game. whole saber wielding form that’s just about HEFT

Borgar

just saw the re-release of RoTS in theaters last night, can't wait to hear Emily's thoughts on it

Jorde

Justice for phantom menace this is crazy

Hannah G.

Oh my god, first bleep in NADDPOD history. They finally talked about something new enough to be legitimately concerned about spoilers

Lia

Never Let Me Go is a book about the ethics around how clones are viewed

Hannah G.

Something about a character in a recent Star Wars show called The Acolyte

joel

the Watto defense is vintage Em and I'm so glad she's finally seeing these movies

FlanMan

Um, can't focus anymore, Murph said Chicken Jockey. We need A Minecraft Movie mixed bag, yesterday!

RoleforThat

Maybe I'm misremembering, but isn't it implied that Darth Sidious used the dead Jedi as a cover for ordering the clone army, and that's why Jango Fett was both the basis for the clones and he was working for the seperatists at the same time?

Elizabeth Gunn, sickly but cruel

It took my millenial ass a second to get here: my wife and I were both in love with Ewan McGregor in a very real teen way and this movie took something from us that we never got back. On some level, this movie marked the end of my childhood and the beginning of nostalgia. I saw it in theatres and maybe...walked out? idk, i've erased it from my memory.

Hannah S

em is 100% correct, the watto recognition scene was moving

Hannah S

i also always thought that sifo-dyas was a moniker for him too

Reid

242-555-VISA

John EldenRing

I was sitting in the episode 3 anniversary showing at my theatre thinking, wonder what naddpod will think

Jess

Would love you guys to do this for LOTR lol

Lizzy French

Gosh I would LOVE Emily specifically to watch some of the Clone Wars animated show, they spend way more time on each of the planets and I totally think she would vibe with it. I didn't really Iike star wars until I watched that show tbh, might be too good for a mixed bag though lol

Ilana Galpert

Han Solo and Leia might not be as romantic a pairing as you remember. It's a lot of Han Solo saying "you totally love me" and Leia saying "we're in the middle of a rebellion can you please pay attention" and then "I love you" "I know" and they kiss. Not my idea of swoon worthy tbh. Anakin is not the only sex pest in Star Wars...

Scotty Beverages

We gotta get Emily on the George Lucas Talk Show!

Ian Hanson

The crew should watch space balls

Alexis Rausch

To add the perspective of someone who was a small child when these were coming out, my dad decided to only show me the prequels to get my reaction when Anakin turns into Darth Vader. However, this backfired, since I was not old enough to understand any of the political issues or Anakin's emotional motivations, and was really only enjoying JarJar being goofy and all the pretty locations. I do remember being bored with the Dooku fight though - once the fight leaves the coliseum, I always checked out.

Beau R.

And the lightsaber customization, the beautiful locals and a pretty powerful story

TayJulia

Actor Topher Grace cut all three prequels together in to one 85 minute film as a fun way to learn film editing. It’s supposed to be a quality but succinct presentation of Anakin’s fall to the dark side. It’s not available for public viewing, but if I was I bet it would make great a mixed bag episode.

Nicole Jordan

When Emily said “got into it” with Star Wars fan at a party I was expecting to hear about a fight but it sounds like they just had a normal conversation where the other person infodumped haha

Hammy

Yeah but at least they had some charisma and charm and chemistry. That goes a long way

ACK

YES, YEEEEEES!

Bryce Peterson

“Everything about this movie is a little bit off” is a perfect thesis statement for AotC

AnonymousDM

Came to the comments to say this too!

Hammy

Like Jake, I also found it weird that Owen introduced his ‘girlfriend’ A word that seems incongruous with Star Wars

ACK

"Telling your Dad you're in love" Obi-Wan has fully been covering for him for years at this point imo...

Takowowo

Yess I was thinking about how good animated Obi Wan is and then just how crazy they get with the lightsaber fights. Just all the things that were "off" in movies were really polished up in the show. I think the worst part of the show is early Ahsoka but even that feels like it pays off. It makes me so excited for anything tied to the animated series

Wojtek

Tickles me greatly that Murph and I calculated Anakin's age the exact same way. Edit: also this whole episode makes me desperately need a mixed bag about the genuinely excellent Clone Wars show

Brock

you know what i meant

Doctor Ransom

Legit thought that Sebulba pause was the podcast audio cutting out.

Sam Collie

As an unabashed AotC enjoyer (my fav star wars movie) i appreciated them seeing the good!

Emz

My mother has a Darth Vader credit card and lemme tell you it's funny everytime

Bryce Peterson

Genuinely surprised when I heard that. Talk about a perfect pairing.

Kali Reginek

There are books about Padme and her handmaidens! Queens Shadow & Queens Peril

Murf'nLurph

Why would it be in Qui-Gon Jins character to make a secret illegal clone army behind the back of the Jedi council? Sure, he was a maverick, but he wasn't a traitor.

Ilana Galpert

That's true. anakin and padme are definitely a worse pairing

Del

This was my favorite movie for years. I know it’s not a good movie technically, but I liked the action sequences and would just let the starwarsness of it all wash over me. The thing is I’ve seen this movie like 7 times and every time after it finished I’d have to go to Wikipedia and try to understand the plot because it just makes so little sense!

Brett Miller

And a third, Queen’s Hope to make it a trilogy!

Kali Reginek

That’s the one I was forgetting!!

James Andrade

Please watch some of the Clone Wars show! Maybe the last season?

Henry F McCormack

This is outrageous! It's unfair! How can Murph get the most questions right and not be the Clone Captain!

Bec

If you pick one star wars novel to read, let it be revenge of the sith by Matthew Stover! It's an incredibly written book in its own right, and it adds the necessary context to make the story actually... good. Plus, it reads like a Greek tragedy.

CaptainKaysno

I already have the re-release pre ordered. Can't wait for it!

aiyana graham art

only seen a single star wars movie I think and it's one of the recent ones; I have 0 intent of ever watching any but it's very fun to listen to these

Hannah Williams

Desperately want to hear her reaction to the boglings and the other really cool creatures!

Glenn D AKA Mcdoogins

KOTOR does have different stances damn I love those games best exu lore in Star Wars!

chlo!

she would LOVE boglings

poppy marten

THE SAND COMMENT IS SO IMPORTANT, I ALSO HATE SAND FOR THE VERY REASONS HE SO ELOQUENTLY LAYS OHY AND I HAVE RARELY FELT SO REPRESENTED IN FILM

poppy marten

also i hope you can see how passionate i am about star wars things based on my block capitals 😂😂😂

poppy marten

woah, watto is NOT a bug, murph! wild comment from you!! 😂

poppy marten

“putting his son in a situation where he has to *shoot a priest*” is such a wild framing 😂

Robin

Maybe someone else has said this by now by Emily needs to read the Coruscant Nights books, literally cyberpunk noir on Coruscant.

A.J.

i can't believe this is the first time naddpod has ever actually censored something instead of spoiling it lol. this is so novel. so wild. it's akin to, i don't know, killing olaf in frozen 2

CDs nutz

So I took a Star Wars class in college and the reason the writing is so bad for the prequel trilogy is because George a Lucas actually wrote it entirely himself, which he has openly admitted writing isn’t his strong suit. Where as in the original trilogy he had Lawerence Kasdan and Francis Ford Coppola editing and helping with the writing & story direction. The reason why the Force Awakens has that humor and original trilogy feel to it is bc they brought back Lawerence Kasdan to write the screenplay. The global impact of Star Wars was immediate and completely took over Lucas’ career & low key made him become a recluse and only would work on Star Wars stuff. People legit made the Jedi order into a world religion, that is still one of the largest spread religious organization outside of the main 5. I think he felt the pressure of love for of this world and to try and get his vision out he crumbled inward instead of using all of his help from the first round. Coppola has said that it saddens him that Star Wars took over Lucas’ life to the point he stopped doing all other projects. Spielberg was another one of their buddies who also had a hand in influencing Lucas in the original trilogy (Kasdan wrote Raiders of Lost Arc). They were all originally experimental directors coming up together and while his peers and friends careers soared he was left behind crushing under the weight of Star Wars and what it meant to so many people. P.S. Emily you would have loved my minor program. I got to take some of the wildest and best classes bc the point of the program was to be able to critically think and synthesis about any subject - Star Wars, Cryptozoology, Wicthes & Bitches, Zen Buddhism, Propaganda & You - to name a few.

Boofoe Dibeppo

“She can fix him” mentally. Sounds like what going on. But idk it’s been awhile since I’ve seen the movie

Cole Brustad

You guys simply MUST check out the series "what if the prequels were good?" Series by Belated Media on YouTube. I think you'd love it, you could do a full mix bag about it after Revenge of the Sith, lol

John the Spaceship

Talking about Boba Fett’s dad forcing his son to shoot a priest is the hardest I’ve laughed in a while

John the Spaceship

Also, although this has been done to absolute death by tons of people, my idea about the prequels is that they basically should have started at the Jedi Academy with Anakin being recruited and trained. Make pretty much the whole first movie about Anakin’s training and upbringing among the Jedi. This solves the problem of the Jedi having basically no identity in the prequels, like you don’t really get a sense of who they are. You see Anakin being trained, meeting comrades, and meeting/being mentored by Obi-Wan. And there are maybe some rumblings about political unrest— like our villain for the first movie could be some separatist amongst the Jedi who is secretly in league with Palpatine. The movie ends with Anakin defeating this separatist or whatever (maybe first after being tempted to join them) and becoming Obi-wan’s apprentice. Scrap the whole Naboo story, and off to the Clone Wars without all this weird baggage.

Gilligan Froggert

HUGE PLUS ONE, this is one of my fav youtube “mini series” and made me more of a star wars fan!

Garrett Durham

The problem is Hayden did the directors vision perfectly. It was just a bad vision

Jason Petti

Emily had some incredibly intuitive takes in this one tbh. The Machete Order of watching the movies (IV, V, II, III, VI) is based around moving the Vader reveal to be a bigger deal. Basically IV and V are the story of Luke, which ends with the big reveal, then you go back to II and III to see how Anakin got there, then you watch VI to see how they come together Additionally, yes lightsaber forms (or stances) are a huge part of the extended (and possibly canon? I forget) universe, to the point that Anakin is a master of the offensive stance, Obi Wan is the master of the defensive stance, Yoda's is about mobility, Mace Windu's is about using the dark side of your opponent against them.

Blue Bee

Jake referring to the Kaminoans as "the sexy aliens" is one of the biggest truth nukes he's ever dropped

Fox

G for Genonenus

Holden Spencer

I just wanna say this, and attack me if you must, but Attack of the Clones and Phantom Menace are my 2 favorite Star Wars movies. I think episode 4-6 are boring as hell, and episode 3 is too traumatic for a rewatch. These 2 are fun and playful in a way that spoke to me as a 6/8 year old at the time

Kitty

oh gang if you're like "why would you tell your dad about your crush in an elevator" y'all need to watch the Satine episodes of Clone Wars, you'll lose your minds with everything that Obi-Wan simply *does not say*

Lexi H

I’m gonna be so real. I watched it last night and the bad romance dialogue never even crossed my mind bc I was so fascinated with the sexual chemistry between padme and anakin. And that’s on me watching this movie for the first time time when I was like 9 and it awakening something in me

Keigan Z

I laugh Everytime the A to J ranking system comes up and there is no remembrance of which is higher. My guess at this point is it was at one point a 1-10 scale since J is the 10th letter of the alphabet and that has been lost with time?

The Wizard Snoop

If y'all want some mixed bag fodder, the Clone Wars 2D cartoon from Genndy Tartakovsky could be a fun option before Episode 3. the vibes are immaculate, and Caldwell can go off on the animation

KingHalt

I need them to watch all of The Clone Wars. I know it won't happen, but I need it

Lexi H

The way my jaw DROPPED at the censoring

LeafPockets

I'm just curious -- in that watch order, you just toss out Episode I? lol

Jason Petti

SPOILERS FOR STAR WARS BELOW PLZ DO NO PROCEED IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN I-VI Yeah! Here's the whole write-up (https://www.rodhilton.com/2011/11/11/the-star-wars-saga-suggested-viewing-order/), and honestly I recommend you go through it because it's a super entertaining read (assuming you like Star Wars, which, you asked, so I assume you are haha) even if you have no intent of watching in that order! I'll give you the creator of the order's words that directly address his answer to that question though, because I don't think I can summarize it better than the guy who came up with the idea haha "The reason to skip Episode I isn’t that it’s bad, it’s that it’s irrelevant. If you accept my suggestion that Star Wars, the saga, is really about Luke’s journey and his decision to accept his hero’s burden by saving not only the galaxy from the Empire, but his father from the dark side as well, then you’ll find that everything that happens in Episode I is a distraction from that story. Seriously, think about it for a minute. Name as many things as you can that happen in Episode I and actually help flesh out the story in any subsequent episode. I can only think of one thing, which I’ll mention later. Every character established in Episode I is either killed or removed before it ends (Darth Maul, Qui-Gon, Chancellor Valorum), unimportant (Nute Gunray, Watto), or established better in a later episode (Mace Windu, Darth Sidious). Does it ever matter that Palpatine had an apprentice before Count Dooku? Nope, Darth Maul is killed by the end of Episode I and never referenced again. You may as well just start with the assumption that Dooku was the only apprentice. Does it ever matter that Obi-Wan was being trained by Qui-Gon? Nope, Obi-Wan is well into training Anakin at the start of Episode II, Qui-Gon is completely irrelevant. Search your feelings, you know it to be true! Episode I doesn’t matter at all. You can start the prequels with Episode II and miss absolutely nothing. The opening crawl of Episode II establishes everything you need to know about the prequels: a bunch of systems want to leave the Republic, they are led by Count Dooku, and Senator Amidala is a senator who is going to vote on whether the Republic is going to create an army. Natalie Portman is called Senator Amidala twice in the first 4 minutes of the movie, so there’s no question of who’s who." Also in that he references the one thing that *doesn't* work well in his order so I'll post that too so you get the full idea :) "The weakest part of this order is when Anakin returns to Tatooine. We don’t know his mother is a slave, and we don’t know he built C-3P0. When he has visions of his mother dying and returns, Watto says he sold her. That’s not something you expect to hear about a Jedi’s mother, so it’s a bit jarring. When Anakin goes to the Lars moisture farm, Threepio calls him “the maker” and they act like they know each other, but it’s not stated outright that Anakin created Threepio. This definitely draws attention to the fact that one of the films was skipped. This is the one, singular thing made genuinely more confusing by skipping Episode I."

Teo R

242 shoutout Wisconsin! And ooo an actual censor? I should watch the acolyte…

BigLoaf

Don’t know if this was mentioned before, but with the Sifo-Dyas talk - it was originally meant to be Sido-Dyas, a pseudonym for Sidious, and the Jedi would talk & not know anyone by that name. But Lucas decided to move on from that in a later draft, and saw a typo that spelled Sifo-Dyas, and instead decided to write in the “dead Jedi Master” bit instead. Which is probably why nobody knew who tf that was, because nobody told Lucas no lol

Tim Nelson

I might have missed something, but btw, pretty sure the “little ponytails” from this and Ep 1 are called Padawan Braids, just marks them

Emma Robinson

DELIGHTED at how many people are requesting a full watch of the Clone Wars animated series.

Taylor Manes

i’m losing my mind over emily misquoting that line as “i killed the men, and the women, and the children.” somehow phrased more awkwardly than the actual line in this incredibly awkward script. emily is a national treasure.

Nikolaus Cox

Regarding fighting stances in Jedi battles - every main Jedi in ‘The Clone Wars’ fights differently. Annakin fights purely offensively and Obi Wan fights exclusively defensively - a little clue to their underlying personalities. Yoda uses the force to move in a way that makes no sense for his physique and proportions as an indication that his connection to the Force is deeper than other Jedi. Dooku fights in a fencing stance - this is to remind us that he is an old Jedi knight, once chivalric and tied up in the courtly rituals of swordsmanship and sparring, who has fallen out of love with the Jedi Order (he is never a Sith, simply a force-sensitive man who believes in there being another Way than the Jedi Way). So actually all the characters had a huge amount of thought put into their unique fighting styles which I feel is entirely overshadowed by horrendous dialogue and an over-reliance on special effects. It does come across better, happily, in The Clone Wars TV show.

alyssa

Am I crazy or is there not a whole theory that anakin mind controlled her and that’s how all this really happened?

Liam Harvey

The whole real life telling of Sifo Dyas beho d the scenes is as weird and convaluted as the in universe. But yes. New character is name dropped in the film and the issue is never resolved in the theatrical films as it was a topic that got casually discarded during the development of episode 3.

cx

The quiz at the end of this strongly reminds me of one of the first ever episodes of um actually back before dropout where murph gets very intense about a star wars question about endor and emily who has not seen them at that point (?) deadpans “oh my god, babe, so hot for you rn” and now we’re here with Emily’s strong Star Wars opinions

dryptid

right when we hit the sifo-dyas confusion, i knew i was rockin with fake fans ✊😔

slingomaboga

to feed jake’s ewan crush im humbly requesting a moulin rouge watch

ZZYZZXX

I had to rejoin the Patreon when I saw that they covered attack of the clones and revenge of the Sith

Claire Keogh

I don't understand what was censored 😭

Kelley

"MACE HIM." Yeah 😂

J. Gro

Ewan McGregor is the correct celebrity crush.

Maia

Hate to say it, but i feel like rereleasing a book just for slight continuities’ sake seems like terminal stage capitalism right there

Maia

As a huge grrm and asoiaf fan. Unrelated

Wade Jellings

It's criminal that Caldwell's C-Span joke got buried

Elizabeth Gunn, sickly but cruel

You four cast charm on me, that is simply the only way I would enjoy listening to anyone discuss Attack of the Clones. In bitter disgust seething under a thin layer of clear magical compulsion, Elizabeth

Fxd Gear Queer

You guys need to watch Ani: a Parody by Starkid. It's an 80s sports movie where a washed up Darth Vader gets back jnto Podracing and teaches Tarkin how to flirt. The also make you feel sad for JarJar. It's magical!

Michael Graham Abernathy

I will offer on incredibly tepid defense of the line delivery in Attack of the Clones, which was that EVERY SINGLE LINE of dialogue had to be ADRed in. To oversimplify, the new cameras they were using required generators that were loud enough at certain frequencies that they could not be filtered out in post production without affecting the recorded dialogue, so the actors had to come in months later to ADR every single line of dialogue. Lol

Stig

I would argue that buying an army for the war Palpatine & Co are secretly creating is not a Qui-Gon move tho, ya?

Spades Pendragon

Never seen any star wars, love these mixed bags regardless. I feel like I'm learning something

John the Spaceship

When I watched these in theaters as a kid, I assumed “Sifo Dyas” was an alias for Palpatine, since it sort of sounds like “Sidious”.
