things like dabbing and planking won't come back because of the "cringe" factor associated with it. but those trends will come back in various ways in different forms, the mannequin challenge was an evolution of planking, and 67 is the new 69/420. it's all the same basic idea under different names

Idk about carnivals/fairs, but I know when I went to a friend's Quinceañera in 2016 they had goldfish as the centerpieces for all the tables. I ended up taking the one from my table home and trying my hand at aquarium care for a bit before I decided it wasn't for me

When my cousin and I were 6 & 8 respectively won 4 tiny ugly brown fish. They lived 8 years and out grew two fish tanks. They turned into beautiful white speckled koi as they aged. SIP(swim in peace) they died during a be power outage in the winter.

Guys I’m an evolutionary biologist, and I’m sorry to not be chill - I promise I usually am - but I have to push back at the claim that dire wolves have been cloned or de-extincted by Colossal Biosciences. Colossal science just genetically engineered some wolves pubs to be big and white, which is not the same thing. There is no evolutionary or ecological continuity between dire wolves and those pups. It is in my opinion highly unethical and spreads misinformation that we can just bring species back if they go extinct. We can’t.

I regret to inform you that not only are people purchasing labubus, they are also giving them BBLs 😔 Also I haven't verified this bc I WON'T be buying one, but their gambling is also gross bc apparently you can virtually open the blind box immediately after purchase so you can keep buying any buying till you get what you want

I do want to say that whole Dire Wolf thing was fully misinformation they didn't recreate direwolves they created something completely different using gene editing it's still impressive but they lied in order to get more attention

Labubus are like dark patterns toys, they are bad for you if you have bad fomo, and the site is designed to make you waste maximum money and are bad for the environment. The moment you buy a surprise box it tell you what you got so you know to buy another if it not the one you want. I maybe wrong but i think there an option to cancel the shipping so the duplicate labubu doesn't ship to you if you already have it and don't want it but you still payed for it, these are going to be in landfill in like 2 to 5 years.

The wildest weird thing just happened and it’s so unimpressive, but I work as an engineer that designs heavy duty carts for manufacturing environments, and my boss randomly was messaging us about designing carts with a 2,500 weight capacity and he specifically said to imagine a car on the cart “a Mazda Miata weighs roughly 2500 lbs” and then not 20 minutes later Jake mentions it
