Gotta say, been in a relationship with a lifelong vegetarian for 9 years now. For my birthday, I get a ribeye every year and then go to the movies. Got unlucky this past year and the steak was overcooked multiple times and we had to make our movie so I didn’t get my birthday steak. As a joke, my partner said that he’d make me a steak. Reader: he did buy a 3 pack of ribeyes (for insurance) and did research on how to cook a steak. I like mine medium rare. His first try was medium (which is crazy because he’s literally never cooked meat). He did oversalt it though because he knew I liked salt (I have POTS so I crave it) so I just made another one. I have been informed this is going to be an annual tradition. I guess he’s only gonna cook meat once a year now

When I was like 8 I threw up once a month randomly. I was at a sleepover and started to feel bad but we were such loud kids that the mom literally locked her door and shoved pillows against the door. I had thrown up in the kitchen sink (because what are the bathroom rules) and everyone was asleep and I was BANGING on the mom’s door at like 3 am. She very begrudgingly opened the door and then felt bad and called my mom who very begrudgingly picked me up

I wonder if these days kids just have their phone to look at when they’re up early at sleepovers. It’s always funny to look back at times in your life when having nothing to do meant, like, staring at the wall. Anyway I had the curse/blessing of always being louder than i meant to be, so eventually a grown up would show up and give me food.

You guys joke, coincidentally though, whilst moving through my vinyasa yesterday, not once but twice did my gnarly razor of a big toe, swipe me, causing a 1cm sq loss of skin to my wrist and opposite foot. Literally the same day my wife called my toes "disgusting" and "could kill". The nail in question, slightly overgrown yet harderned and sharp as a steel edge. Since cut, and lesson learned

I rarely notice my nails need clipping unless I'm away from home and don't have anything handy to trim them, and then it drives me crazy until I finally get home, at which point I forget for another day or so. So yeah, I've taken to stuffing some nail clippers into all my travel bags.

@Murph: Off topic, but I’d love to see you do a one-shot episode for the duck crew of them fighting the monster that they had to run away from, after falling into that grave trap. The crew is the level they were at the end of C3, but that monster had also gotten stronger for revenge. Imagining them walk into an area that becomes a bloodborne boss style fight is funny to me 😂

Sleepovers are the best! There was something magical about realizing my friends existed outside of school AND they came over to sleep in my space. I hope Jake and Caldwell get hype about being a safe space where their kids and friends can get together and yell in the basement. 🙌😂 My daughter is 6 and we're rocking sleepovers, I love it! And yeah, Jake, you do gotta make them dinner and breakfast. It's payback for all the times you did it to your mom 😂

I might be a bit late to this, but on the topic of vampires and cooking food, Dracula literally cooks all the food for Jonathan Harker when he is a "guest" at Dracula's castle. Bram Stoker does a really good job making it a horror, but it is canon that Dracula scurried around cooking and cleaning after Harker as he had no human servants to do that job lol. If I remember correctly, Harker did not have any complaints about the food lol.
