All this talk of tubing and popping the tube around 18:00 reminds me of when I was tubing with my siblings (so there were three of us on the tube together while my uncle pulled us along), and we steered the tube so it was outside of the wake, while my uncle drove by the dock the rest of my family was at. Unfortunately, while my uncle had good intentions (wanted to bring us close for a photo-op), the tube ended up crashing into the dock instead. Fortunately, I saw us rapidly approaching the dock and let go before we hit. My siblings were a little less quick to react, and one went under the dock with the tube, and the other got launched up onto the dock. In hindsight, I suspect that had I not let go, my face would've gone straight into the dock and this probably wouldn't be just a fun story to share. Needless to say, the tube was also destroyed
