Pendergreens’ Sick Ibanez

A full bladder takes about 21 seconds to empty Itd take ~4114.3 full bladders/ day to keep strahd unformed

2026-09-05 07:00 In the original yelling of Dracula, the vampire is unable to cross bodies of water, the only reason he's able to get on a boat is that he hires people to fill the boat with dirt and they load his coffin into the boat on top of the dirt, à la Davy Jones in a bucket of water, then he sleeps through the entire voyage to England.

slop eater

she babu on my frik till I return somehow

Miranda G

Aw man we wanted to lead an army of the peasantry against Strahd SO BAD, but the dm won in the end and got us to raid Ravenloft alone u_______u

Tobin

I need the Bon Freres to be at that haunted house

Tim G

Dude a fucking KORN MAZE!

Ellie P

Running water also does acid damage to vampires!!

Conner Delgado

the “i’m gonna babu frick” might just be the most horrific naddpod audio since the dip spit incident

Fernathan

Nu Metal Strahd is just Lestat from the 2002 Queen of the Damned movie lol

Grimma Lynx

Thanks so much for reading my submission! And yall were right, my party only could make their army work by spending the entire campaign being a force for hope. From saving the children from old bonegrinder, protecting the winery from wintersplinter, putting on the festival of the burnibg sun and subsequently protecting valakye from the wave of vampire spawn strahd sent to crash the party. The build up to having an entire army willing to take up arms on their behalf was a slow burn, and one of the best payoffs that Ive had as a DM

TheRaiOh

Strahd's inevitable return giving Rise of Skywalker energy is so funny and accurate. I remember reading that bit while preparing to run the campaign and was confused why they would even include that lol.

BeepBoopMahGoo

Just so it's out there, I think Van Richten book said Barovia is supposed to be like a otherworldy prison for Strahd and he's not allowed to be free of it. That's why the vampire lord always comes back eventually

Chareth Cutestory

Apologizing to my gf for telling her no one knows the wickerman.

Greg Jovi

I want a one shot where the three players all play one of Strahd's wives in the world were they all get locked in a room to argue called Real Housewives of Barovia

A. Lee. S

My husband ran a short Strahd story for our SW5e, which I play with a Lurmen named Nurmen. It was so fun.

Kingzley Sparkman

Brennan has a really good story on how to play chaotic evil in a non-red flag way. I think it's on youtube

Taylor Marshall

could totally see cody walsh at the numetal barovia gathering of the juggalos

Canid Duality

The bayou campaign made me think of castlevania nocturne. Sounds so fun.

Jack

There is a dedicated mod team working on a curse of strand custom campaign in BG3!!!!

Clyve Lagerquist

Spoilers for other stuff, but the story of the Chaotic Evil Paladin taking Strahd’s powers sounds a bit like Arkhan at the end of CR 1 with the Hand of Vecna

Tom Kelshaw

The Southern Gothic Stradge campaign sounds very cool, there’s a great book about Vampires down by the bayou called Fever Dream everyone should read. It’s by a writer called George RR Martin, haven’t kept up with the guy since Fever Dream but I hope he’s doing okay.

Nova

The Queen of the Damned soundtrack was ALL nu metal bands and Jonathon Davis (lead singer of Korn not the artist behind Garfield) provided Lestat’s in movie vocals

Nathan Massey

If you guys wanna do the Death House, you should look at survivors in Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft. They have simple stat blocks, go from levels 1 to 3, and have simple little feats you can take every time you level up.

Matthew Sands

Death House seems like a natural fit for Skaldova. Specifically to run as the horror show the Fish Baron shoves Boggy's Buds into.

Tim

I hate to burst your bubble, but Death House will take like half an hour to run, from what I remember. And you will all die to an overpowered monster at the end. So I guess in that way, it works for a slasher setting.

Eamon Sullivan

Death house takes a lot longer than a half hour, my group spent 2 4 hour sessions in there (albeit moving slowly)

BurtMcKraken

One of which has to be young Fred Durst.

BurtMcKraken

What are we if not the Bayonetta to Babu Frik diaspora?

Tim

All right, fine, I looked back at my notes from 2021 (which I still had, somehow) and it did take about a session and a half, although I did switch out the Shambling Mound for some cultists because I didn't want to insta-kill my players. I do have a fun note in there that says "After a tough battle that saw Jerry (one of the PCs) get knocked out, pooped his pants, then brought back to life, the specter was defeated. Our heroes then proceeded to the attic..."

Akenaz

van richten's guide to ravenloft pages 198-201 has rules for "survivors" simple, low-powered character archetypes that sound like what you're looking for for the horror-movie-trope commoners

Matthew Sands

With regards to people shifting themselves on dying and vampires, one of the traditional requirements for a vampire is that they rest on their native *Soil*. So a vampire that doesn't clean up post mortem automatically fulfills that requirement in a gloriously gross unlife hack. You're all welcome.

Johneldenring

At least in the 5e DMS guide there's a table for abilities and stats for commoners of different races which could be good for the slasher campaign.

mars

Whoever made the southern gothic Strahdge campaign, I would like to be your friend please

Ro

I have an idea for a constant stream of piss it’s called *checks notes* a sewer

Rydog

I would 1000% listen 9 hours of you guys chasing strahd 🤣

wick

Caldwell’s Serj /Strahd voice was so fkn good lmaoo

Kork Horf

You can tell Emily googled Bayonetta right after Jake with Emily’s soft little “woah”. Understandable reaction.

Maiu

When we played Curse of Strahd, I went out of my way to buy as many bear traps as my barbarian could carry. If we came across a room full of enemies, we'd bar the door and I'd set them all up, much to the chagrin/amusement of the DM. Whenever we'd sneak atound Stradhs castle, I'd set them up for him. Even though he'd alway easily pass the check, the Dm loved voice his "ah, fuck" "what the hell is this" "where are all these ttaps coming from???" Voice.

Adam!!!!!

i just had the worst idea for a "strahd must die tonight" one shot where the triplets come back to barovia because doctor eggman took over the castle

BurtMcKraken

Definitely all the Netflix Castlevania series should be a view crew. They made that show so freakishly gory I really want to hear the crew react to that.

Marc Bollinger

Heads up, this episode seems to have been posted as a 546MB .wav file instead of the usual approximately 100MB .mp3

ACK

I almost think it's too good for that? Although I would 100% be there for it.

Hugo Wull

If you liked the Southern Gothic/New Orleans Strahd campaign, you should read Fevre Dream by George R R Martin! It’s a vampire story set in a riverboat and it’s a delightful good time! Plus unlike ASOIAF, he actually finished it

Kathryn Martin

35:00 I’m also in a dungeon court headspace so I’m thinking if your party forgot you were chaotic evil then you must not have been playing a very good chaotic evil character.

riskutforthebriskut

lmao that chaotic evil story is exactly why i just ignore alignment these days

Kaidan C

It’s really hard for me to imagine death house taking more than two sessions tops

Vectra 407

That is interesting that Strahd will reconstitute. Someone out there has to have run a campaign that is post "The Strahd Campaign," that isn't just replaying the module over and over again. That would be super neat

J. Gro

Baby lasagna = how autocorrect handles Baba Lysaga

#KittyLearnsToCook

I wrote a Gathering of the Juggalos Fiasco setting called "Fuck Your Sleep!" and I will happily send it to anyone who wants to play a ridiculous Juggalo one shot. I also got to run it for Juggalos at the last Dark Carnival Game Con, and they loved it, which makes me so proud tbh. Whoop whoop!

Justine G

An update: our fated ally hates us now, our warlock is a vampire, but we did finally learn our one party member died (ripped apart by werewolves). We’re currently mid-fight with Baba Lysaga and we’re only the 2nd of the 16 campaigns to meet her

RebeccaC

Our death house took ten sessions 🤣

Kaidan C

Y’know what, I just got home from DMing a Strahd game and yeah… everything took so long! My players spent forever sneaking into the Burgomaster’s mansion just to make it out unseen and then deliberate for an hour on whether or not they should sneak back in and undo what they just did

Rachel

I missed this because I abandoned Patreon. My Strahd story is that I made my players fight the dark power after they stomped Strahd. It was a lot of fun! I got them through all the locations. It took a while. Fun module.

Nick Lerche

Omg Caldwell doing serj tankin doing strahd is not what I thought I needed but hot damn

Zisel

Finally got around to listening to this (I was saving it)! Not sure if anyone will see this, but check out *Betrayal at House on the Hill* (a board game) as inspiration if you want to do the Death House/commoner slasher for Halloween or whenever. 😊 Re: simple stats of jock, nerd, etc. plus some of the spooky rooms and stuff. I’ve done it before and it ruled!
