Murph or Em: How do you set up your environments? I find when I DM I'm good at the interpersonal goofs and flexibility, but have a hard time visualizing and setting up even a little town - much less something massive like Gladehome/Frostwind.

recently watched a DM panel, and there was a discussion about adjusting dice rolls for the story... the beloved BLM had a wonderful take, but I am curious if this conundrum of adjusting rolls for story has every come up from the DM side of things in a NADDPOD episode. I feel maybe this has been addressed but my brain cannot recall

As a brand new DM (and player), DMing for my lifelong play-group, how do I protect my fledgling players without railroading? Where is the line between railroading and teaching/guiding? I don’t want them to feel like I’m holding their hands but I also don’t want them to have their first character die before they reach level 3. Hey guys!! For horror based settings, how do you instill fear in the players without using the fear condition to MAKE them pretend to be scared? I have a problem where I'm good at doing body horror stuff (since I'm a doctor, I can describe viscera well) but all that causes is a feeling of disgust. What are tips to inspire fear?

I was asleep when it started cause I'm Australian BUT I got a cool healing homebrew mechanic! In my campaign there a lil druid franchise stalls call Good Berri ™️ and they sell... good berries! Inexpensive pop-up, pocket heals of 1 HP. Slightly more expensive if they're chocolate covered. Will disappear at the end of the day if not used like the spell. Depending on what level the stall owner is, there's also a limited amount they produce in a day. Designed so that my husband can also deal damage as a thick hot blue dragonborn lady with a type A personality rather then focus SO MUCH on healing.
