Lilybet Gates

Omg please this was delightful And getting to hear y’all’s personal stories as well

Jairo Jimenez

We need another one of these. I have listened to this 3 times.

Cianistarle

omg same, possibly four! this time!

Jesse Dunlap

I can top all these. Spilling wine on strangers in the first hour of a 7 hour flight

Ellie Ram

My face is so red from trying to holding in the laughter that my co-worker asked if I was okay and brought me some cold water.

xatlern

Aw man, I wish I could have contributed back in the day. As I was listening I remembered my worst spilltacular, which included 2 kinds of broken glass, mango soda, alcoholic chocolate milk, and Thai food all over my kitchen.

StarsPaw-Pawn

So you know how sometimes when you’re drinking and you laugh but are able to keep your mouth shut and it ends up coming out of your nose? Yeah, that just happened to me, but with APPLESAUCE

Meapyboy1234567

yeah i have heard about people saying that happened to them but that has never happened to me.

Kozai

Okay, so listening to this, I think I’m most mortified by Tristan’s story of long-boarding + middle schoolers because middle schoolers can be horrifying! 😭

Rachel the Freckled ADHDer

Oh, I have a top 10 of spills....spills so majestic that they made a "best of" list. One of the top ones was when I was carrying a tall glass of grape juice and a large plate of food. I went to turn on the light in the TV room with the arm carrying the grape juice and as I lowered my elbow it smacked right into a wall-mounted speaker. The glass of grape juice FLEW from my hand and landed RIGHT SIDE UP on the coffee table. For a split-second, I thought I was in the clear. Twas a lie. The impact of the glass hitting the coffee table caused the juice to shoot up and spray across the entire 10x15 foot room. Grape juice hit the white ceiling tiles, the big projector tv, and every wall/surface. The glass then toppled sideways and the remaining juice spilled all over the floor. I stood there silent for at least 3 minutes. Oh, and the kicker? This was my brother's living room and his TV, ceiling, floor, etc. I was renting a room there during college. I'm still not allowed to carry grape juice in his house.

Rachel the Freckled ADHDer

I once snuck cooked bacon into the movie theatre. My friends told me if I ever did it again, I wasn't allowed to come because it was such a strong smell. Was still worth it to have movie bacon.

Nicole

This episode made me laugh so much i love it

Fox

If anyone is curious it’s approximately 500 gallons of milk

Spanky

I know im so late to the mixed bag but after listening to this i think baseball is missing a HUGE opportunity to sell mashed potatoes in those little helmets like they do with ice cream

Hammy

👶 C O C A C O L A

Melissa Shilale

Love finding something I haven’t listened to yet 😭

James (plz make more trinyvale eps)

Middle schooler’s will make fun of you in an accurate way - they don’t pull punches, so in turn they will make fun of whatever you’re insecure about. They’re mostly monsters tbh.

Denatonia (Haven)

As a German speaker, there really is no possible justification for this. We literally also call them Whoppers. Like this must have been a mixed up order for sure

Aedan

The popeye's gravy story reminds me of the Beans in Cars 2 story from however long ago. Absolutely insane thing to eat at a game

Hammy

I’d cry over that

Lyndis Cealin

adding to this: as a service worker in germany you are under no circumstances allowed to let a customer clean up a spill (I think because if they hurt themselves doing so the company is liable? while when a worker hurts themselves it's a work accident that is insured? I don't know) - so not cleaning up themselves is something completely normal in germany and nothing you have to be embarrassed about (even though it still feels embarassing). So I guess the sodas were really just a simple replacement for the spilled ones and not a misunderstanding.

Scrumblina Brumblina

Both spilltaculars are such comfort listens for me. I come back at least once a year, like a little personal holiday.

K

Yayayay

Hank Cox

I misread this title as Spill Dracula and I’m upset it isn’t that

Arwyn Robinson

Literally dying of laughter at Murph's mom's spill story 🤣🤣🤣 Also I was curious and went back to the original post requesting the spill stories and there are over 600 comments. Holy jeezus

Noah James Perito

Coca Cola baby is making me scream it’s so funny

Mae B

I love this! I would love for y'all to do more spill stories, or even just general embarrassing stories! Of which I have many to offer

Madeleine D

I would like to vote for ending short rests or mixed bags or something with a spill story, just as a lil treat for everyone

Renegade

quick, someone cross-stitch me a pillow that says “think of all the Coke Zeros you did not spill on that baby”

Bec Robson

Yes, we love this, please keep doing this

Ben Gartside

I don't know if it's the post finale energy or the wild idea that is "best spills" but this might be one of my favourite mixed bags

BossHoggRadio

Ate a lime while listening to this, I am at my peak

David Pugh

Stop trying to Popeye's gatekeep, Murph!

Theodore Carraro

Makes me laugh how often the crew says the word ‘piss’ these days

Luke M. Thomas

I spilled soup while I watched this, self fulfilling prophecy

Bransy330

Thinking of how my high school sold chicken corn noodle soup at football games and all the spills that came with that.

Nurse LaCroix

I knew I was in for a good time when the Dunkaccino scale was established

Audrey

I had a gallon of apple cider explode on the top shelf of my refrigerator, rendering all my roommate’s food inedible as they are allergic to apples. This episode definitely helped pass the time while I cleaned out the entire fridge and bought my roommate all new groceries 😂

Whimsii

I fucking lost it at the ShopRite bit. Sincerely, a former ShopRite employee.

GREYFOX!!!!!

1.5 t = 52910.052910053 oz That is equivalent to 413.36 us liquid gallons. My man spilled a grocery stores whole milk supply in a moment.

Daniel Soto

Jeeeeeez....volume doesn't matter until it MATTERS

Michael Singer

You guys should definitely send a five dollar dunkin doughnuts gift card to whoever is deemed spilltacular

Evan Cordero

This was waaaaaay funnier than it had any right being. Shout out to all the submissions. I cant wait til Spilltactular 2: The Spillening

Noah Jay

The German one was entirely the employees fault... Whopper is the same at German BK. Nearly everything else has a different game, but Whoppers are on the menu. See: burgerking.de

scarlet

I like this and hope for future ones but maybe scrap the dunkachinos for just choosing a favorite like you did at the end (with allowance for special awards like you did with "most dangerous")

Audrey

I was hoping someone would figure that out!

Joe D’Antonio

Can we get a “Good Spill Hunting” movie poster with Murph hugging Caldwell saying “It’s not your spill” with Emily and Jake in the background covered in Coke Zero?

Ian Dack

That's 55.2581944 cubic feet of milk 🤣

Jor Elare

As a follow up to the bartending/fire spill since I wanted it to be brief but I appreciate the concern: only a very minor injury to myself with one ruined shirt, the fire extinguisher was used almost exclusively on the floor and the foam rinses off with water. The bar was out of commission for like 6 minutes and I worked the rest of the shift sweating my ass off in a jacket

GREYFOX!!!!!

Ah now that's restaurant working I know. Caught on fire? Your fine get back to work

Mclynx

Definitely need more of these

Mich Blackie

Ok when are we getting a “Boss makes a dollar, I make a dime, I’m gonna spill on company time” shirt?

bibibirdy

I enjoy how flabbergasted Murph was by the person who took a chicken dinner to a football game knowing my friend and I used to sneak full popeyes dinners into the movie theater all the time.

Dan Podeszwa

370 gallons of milk btw 8.1 pounds per gallon Decent amount but not a crazy amount when you think about how big holding tanks for stuff like that is.

Spore Zealot

1 calculated 348 gallons 1.5 tons = 3,000 lbs / 3.8lbs per gallon.

Fabian Giesen

Yeah they must have misheard, German now living in the US here... Whopper is just Whopper and I can't think of anything else on the menu that sounds even close! At least a "large coke" at German fast food joints is usually 0.5l (a bit more than a pint) whereas a "small coke" here in the US is usually like 16-20oz, so the spill is not as large as it would sound like to an US audience!

superheroheart

Completely unrelated but did Caldwell move to NY? I was confused about Emily talking about him and Jake flying back to NY

Blake

I loved this, please do more!!

Scott Hewson

Murph’s incredulous “gravy at a SPORTING EVENT?!!?” tickled me. Out of all the insanity of this episode the degree in which Murph found this ridiculous was just a cherry on top. I had to pause and gather myself from the giggles.

John Wiest

The longboard story reminds me of a story when i was skateboarding home from picking up a gyro a few blocks away from my house. A group of teens stopped me and asked to say something on a video they were recording. I told them no and began to skate off on my board and not 10 ft from these teens (who were recording me skate off ) my wheel caught a rock and I flew off smashing myself as well as my gyro onto the pavement. With laughter filling my ears I picked up my smashed box and the contents inside with some fairly scraped up hands and I quickly skated home whilst licking my wounds with the thought of this video of this event fueling my anxiety. But you best believe I still ate that gyro.

Laura

This was wonderful. There definitely needs to be another one because, unfortunately, I think I have a winner.

Sand Panda

Loved this. More milk please

Marge In Charge

Their lack of knowledge about dairy farms is oddly isolating…on that note, he would NEVER live it down on that dairy farm. However, it would be more like family razzing. The story would never really reach strangers’ ears. A ton of milk in the clean rooms is not unherd (te.he.) of. His legacy would remain in a tight knit community. Middle school razzing and complete strangers carrying on that legacy of absolute embarrassment a decade after the fact would, I postulate, make for a reconsider?

Timothy Ling

This mixed bag ep was so goddamn funny. More of this or episodes in a similar vein would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm dying for more movie reviews or 8-=Bit Bookclub revival eps. Keep up the amazing work!

Stephen Jay

Thank you NADDPOD for making me laugh out loud in the office today 😂 Listening to Murph make a nerdy 4th grade Caldwell voice absolutely broke me 😂😂😂

Gill

Had to work hard to not make a spectacle of myself at work while listening to this, holding back laughing tears

Eric Peterson

So, I missed the first post about the Spill Stories, and I have one that I think deserves some recognition for both volume and shame. It's a story about a friend of mine--let's call him Teddy. At the time, Teddy was working at a certain major chain hardware store. There's a lot of things you *could* spill at a store like this: dangerous chemicals, pesticides, giant boxes of fasteners, you name it. But Teddy discovered a spill from within the bowels of the store - a spill that no one could have predicted. He was hot off training for the forklift operations, and was still a little nervous and unsure of the equipment. But wanting to give it a go, Teddy attempted pulling some product from a tippy-top shelf, which was a large box item. He successfully got the product onto the fork. However, in his attempt to move it down, he accidentally smashed the box into a ceiling mounted fire extinguisher. This, of course, erupted into an uncontrollable explosion of dirty, brown, gunky water that showered down upon the immediate area. While no customers were hit--only a drenched Teddy--all the product below had effectively been ruined and rendered unsalvageable. The tally of damage was approximately $10,000 USD. Teddy helped to clean up the mess and went home in shame. The next day, he went to the manager's office and simply handed over his resignation letter, which was accepted on the spot with no questions asked.

Cade T

I spilled the soda I was drinking listening to this! Hardest ive laughed in a good while.

Two Deers Beep

Super funny but I’d be bummed if this was every mixed bag I like the randomness of it

Two Deers Beep

In regards to the do we keep doing this

Her Majesty, Claudette

I agree on the Mixed Bag part, though I really hope they continue this in another form. Maybe rotate with D&D Court?

Billie Ash

Didn't think about this till I listened to the ep but I have a personally mortifying one... I was meeting a (then current) girlfriend's friends for the first time at a milkshake place. Everything was going fine and In think I was making a good impression until I took a big sip and my gf unexpectedly made me laugh, this led to me spurting milkshake from my mouth all across one of her oldest friends 🙃. Ofc I immediately got tissues and attempted to fix my mistake but I stand steady that it was not my fault and was a pure accident. It still makes me cringe to think about it though 😔

Michael Boron

So first of all these are all absolutely amazing. That being said, I have to say that the coffee drive thru story is the worst imo. Not only for all of the points that were mentioned but the fact that every time Mom picked you up after that spill you'll be reminded of it

Gino Rodriguez

I have a similar one to the coca cola baby. I was serving a table one time, set a tray of drinks on a ledge and it tipped - drinks went everywhere - i caught one of the glasses but all the contents (luckily only water) of the glass spilled all over someone's baby. what made it mortifying was she looks at me, smiles, and goes "can you not do that again..."

Heidi Nehls

Not my spill but, at my first job at a grocery store, a coworker was trying to move a full pallet of wine with a pallet jack and they bumped the edge of it and at least 10 bottles of wine smashed to the floor and created a small, red tide of wine across the floor.

Panda Berry

This was hilarious. I love the wide range of content I get from y'all

Keith Kelly

1.5 tons = ~1,122 gallons

NoShitSherlock

The longboarder was asking for it, the guy who spilled on his mom's friends would be okay if their moms friends were good people and were worried about their friend's son lol

Heather C-E

Would not be at all upset if there were another Spilltacular.

Kyle Veach

PLEASE give us another Spilltacular, this was delightful 😂

Andrew G

OH MY GOD 2 minutes in. the BABY LLLOOOLLL

i was listening to this mixed bag at work (biggest mistake of my fucking life). underestimating y'all's power to breakdown all of my major brain functions, i was drinking water and ended up laughing so hard at the imagery of this waiter spilling a FOUNTAIN of diet pepsi on this baby's head that, not only did i cause a massive spill that coated the floor and drowned the toy cars in front of me, i snorted the water OUT of my mouth and INTO my nose. the thing is, i had my hand pressed against my mouth because my manager was in the next aisle over and i didn't want her to hear me laughing. basically, i essentially ended up waterboaring myself, drowning myself (ON LAND) in front of a customer, (almost) my boss and a couple of toy dragons.

SebbitySwooty (Seb K)

Ah I live right near Dupont metro!! Always walk up or down because that's a loooong escalator. DC people would help you for sure. Please do a live show in DC!

RoadDietsRule

That German cashier probably speaks english and was fucking with the American.

em

I would be DELIGHTED to hear more spilltaculars, this was incredible 😂

Rachael Lovely

I don’t have any good spill stories but I have a lot of good tripping stories so I would love a second spilltacular to enter in

thomas musgrave

kind of a weird way to fuck with someone lmao, more of just a dick move to act like you dont understand and have them pay for something they didnt order

M Parker

soooo late to this but just have to contribute: working at a coffee house, a full gallon of white chocolate syrup. we mopped every night but somehow the floor was still sticky for *weeks*
