I know I’m rather late to comment on this particular short rest, but here I am anyways haha. I just want to point out how much I love the show and all of you! One of the smallest bits you guys all do that always makes me laugh is calling Murph “Brian.” I know it’s his name, but I’ve known Murph as Murph since college humor, so it truly makes me laugh so hard to hear you all earnestly call him Brian haha

I didn’t think after as 200 some odd episodes/short rest the thing that would finally make me comment would be the fact that my husband and I’s shared obsession is the movie Sully. Haven’t seen the Denzel one, so I speak with utter confidence when I say Sully is better! 😆

Emily, what's probably an easy way to monetize your cats is this: set up a Cameo account, record some footage of each cat, and just use the TikTok lady voice for whatever greeting the Cameo is purchased for (birthdays, wedding's, etc) and charge a minimum of like $100 or something.

So this morning I wake up to my five month old puppy crying in her crate and the stink to end all stinks filling the room, and i realise she has diarrhoea-d all over her bed, blankets, crate floor and herself. I get her out and clean her up and then begin the truly gross task of de-shitting her crate. What, I ponder, could make this a less depressing way to spend my Saturday morning??? Ah, I think, Naddpod's short rest should be out! I'll put that on while I clean up the veritable paddling pool of shit my tiny puppy has somehow produced in the night, surely the dulcet tones of my four favourite professional dnd players lightly razzing each other about magic ducks and frog facts will distract me from the Ocean Of Shit. Surely, I think, they couldn't possibly spend five full minutes making jokes about poop elementals! No, this will be my break from all things excrement related! ALAS, NADDPOD, ALAS (Sidenote: Sprout, the puppy, is fine, and as i type this she is running around eating, drinking and causing chaos as normal)

In terms of real life plane incidents depicted on screen, I thought the Mayday/Air Disasters episode on Federal Express Flight 705 was pretty great. It covered the incident in which a FedEx cargo jet was hijacked and the three-person flight crew managed to fight off the hijacker in the back of the plane, maneuver the plane like a fighter jet, and safely land the plane while all of them were severely injured due to the hijacker attacking them with hammers and a harpoon gun. (The episode might be hard to get a hold of now but I believe the incident has been covered in other media as well.)

My parents are pilots and we tried watching the Denzel Washington movie but my parents refused to continue watching at a certain point because it was just all too absurd - I think it was primarily the point where the plane clipped a church tower, which destroyed the tower but the plane was still perfectly fine 😂

As a Brit, WitW was an institution for us as kids (although I never watched the show, I read the book and was in a play of it at school) and it was amazing/terrible listening to you try and work out WTF was going on.
